My thoughts exactly.

Only if you're in Quebec or New Brunswick (the only bi-lingual province). Outside of that, you get about the same French hatred that you would in the States.

It's like American culture, only with more beer, Maple Leafs, and shouting "I AM CANADIAN!" Just watch some Canadian beer ads. THAT'S Canadian culture.

"Then it's agreed - we will continue to pretend to like pigs feet, simply to confound the white man."

IMDB sez: $116 million over the weekend, and $180 million all told. Jesus. I enjoyed it, and will probably see it again.
-
I finally got the collection last night - paid less then $40, too. Thus far, I've only had time to take out the 8 bosses in 2, but man, I'm fucking lovin' it.

The Metal Blade is almost too goddamned powerful. Besides how kick-ass it is in the normal levels, it can toast both Flash and Bubble Man with little/no trouble. I do like how the boses will react to weapons in the X games though. Even if they don't do something really odd (like the stuff already mentioned, or Armored Armadillo getting his armour blown off) you can generally tell when you've found the right weapon, because they'll react differently. It's really obvious in X3 - hit about any boss with the right weapon and they fucking sell it like hell. That can be really helpful if you're new to the game and are still trying to figure out what works where.

He's got nothing on this guy.

X4 is hella fun if only because of how fucking cool Zero is once you have all his powers.

Ok, everyone says it's like GTA, but how so? Just in the respect that you can go anywhere you want, or do you get missions like in GTA too? And can you really go anywhere? Like, on the ad it shows Spider-Man on the Statue of Liberty's face. Can you actually do that? And what's the play control like? Is it intuitive, or do you have to just play it for a while to get used to it?

I fail to see why that should matter. I mean, this isn't (or shouldn't be, for that matter) a case of having to PROVE what Saddam did. Everyone KNOWS what he did. Any "trial" is most likely going to amount to reading off his various crimes and then killing him for it, methinks.

It's time for you, the POSTERS, to decide!

So, is it safe to assume that there'll have to be some sort of agreement among the mods as to whether or not someone is enough of a tool to get banned? I mean, with some people it's obvious, but with people like MikeSC, it seems a little more grey. Some people think he's a tool, some people don't - the same extends to mods obviously, as some of them think he's a tool, and some don't. Basically, I'm just wondering if this is giving any random mod the right to ban any person he personally does not like, or if there'll have to be at least a few mods saying "this guy's a fucktard - pull the goddamned trigger." -

I'm almost positive a friend of mine bought of bottle of the stuff yesterday. -
What weapon are you using? I've only ever used regular shot against him, with good effect - doesn't it do more damage the closer you are? I dunno, I thought that, but it's been ages since I played (still don't have a copy of the new collection) so I could be wrong.

Damn you NY, you posted exactly what I was going to. I mean, exactly. Like, almost word for word. Kinda creepy, really.

Pol Pot I understand... Ma and Pa Kettle I understand... Bill Clinton?

Yeah, I didn't really think it would be. I was more or less just responding to what you said, more then the idea of a draft.

Exactly - I figure a smaller number of well-trained troops who want to be there beats out a bunch of guys who're given guns and tossed in the front lines any day of the week. My point? Better to ask people if they want in then force them.
-
They can also panic and freak out, causing problems amoungst their own troops, which is the last thing you need in a battle - your own troops causing you trouble. I'm not saying every single person who doesn't want to fight would do such a thing, but I can very easily see how forcing people to fight would cause problems both with the person being forced, and with all the other soldiers who are there of their own free will. As I said before, I can't imagine that soldiers would be happy knowing that their teammates would rather be anywhere else then there, and could very possibly run at the first chance. Essentially, I think that such people would be soldiers that CANNOT be counted on to not frig things up or die in a hurry, and I'm sure no commander would be happy knowing that only some of his men can be trusted to do their jobs properly.

Wasn't Big Show a Power Plant guy?

TMNT by far. They were easily my favourite cartoon/toy line. Easily. Transformers were cool though.

I saw Slayer with Damageplan on the 10th of June. So ends my summer concerts. Damn shit-hole province....
-
I dunno man. If I were a soldier, I'd sure as hell want to know that the other soldiers with me were going to fight, and not turn tail and run at the first opportunity. Or get shot and killed easily because they have no fucking clue what they're doing. As Agent said, they're just weak links, and I think they'd probably hinder as much as they'd help.

I haven't even finished watching the video yet, but I gotta say... BEAUTIFUL brainbuster. The German shortly thereafter is nice too.
