I just compared my DVD to my CD...If the CD version is slower, it's not by a whole lot (like, not as much as some of the other tracks). That doesn't change the fact that it's one of my favorite songs, period. So fucking epic. Also, WTF is Blood Ocean doing so far down on your list, Ravenbomb? For shame. Furthermore, Milky, I have to ask, what was the show like? Was it just Brendon Small and guys backing him up, or did they have like, video walls and shit?

"They scare you too? They slap you up in the bathroom? Stick you head in the pissah?" Ender's Game. No typos; it's slang.

I don't think they'll even be confusing them. Last time Dharma had the Island, they lost it because of it's prior inhabitants. The only way to ensure that doesn't happen again is to not leave any inhabitants. Ben did say that they were coming to kill everyone, and while I wouldn't put it past him to lie, it's still quite possible, methinks.

Agreed. It doesn't seem like these people are hiding anything; people in the article claim to have seen them eating in fancy places and such. Now, if they were dressing in rags, bumming money, and then hiding their faces when they ate in fancy places after changing into nice clothes, that'd be pretty outrageous, I think. This? Not so much. Not great, but not the worst thing ever. Again, if people are gonna give them money....

Stick with FPR. Sure it doesn't look as pretty, but the game control is a thousand times better, once you get the hang of it.

Oh yeah. I got confuzzled, but that HiaC was for a title shot if I recall, so he basically went right into world title contention and ignored it anyway.
-
Bulldog losing the title to HBK didn't help either, since HBK was the WWF champ, and he didn't seem to care about it. Then, of course, he dropped it in a joke match to HHH... Man, that belt was designed to fail.

I hadn't thought of that myself, but I like it. A thought also just occurred to me that, with Hurley saying that "it" wanted to bring them back, I think it's quite possible that the "rescuers" are essentially at war with Jacob (not literally, but they obviously want control of the island and it's secrets) and Jacob is trying to bring the 6 back because they can somehow help him. Jack pulling the trigger was the best thing ever.

WWE General Discussion - January 2008
The Metal Maniac replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in The WWE Folder
Thanks Enigma. Though that still seems odd to me...the major hype for the RR is that the winner gets to main event WM, and the winner.....doesn't want to? And if I remember correctly, wasn't Edge removed from the MitB match cuz he was injured during it? Since he's a heel, he can easily claim it shouldn't count and he considers himself undefeated. -
WWE General Discussion - January 2008
The Metal Maniac replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in The WWE Folder
Someone explain something to me. Cena won the Royal Rumble. Yet there's theories floating around that he would win the title at NWO, and defend at WM. How does that make any sense whatsoever? Why would Cena get the belt BEFORE WM, when he's already booked in the WM main event match? I mean, that is what the RR is for, right? To see who gets the shot at WM? Or are they ignoring that so they can have a bunch of shitty elimination chambers? -
The "samples", or whatever. I seem to recall a while back, Whistler mentioned that he used to carry people on his boat, and one time he had this guy come on with a briefcase full of "samples", for something. I have no idea what they are, but I've been theorizing that it's potentially some sort of weapon (biological?) or perhaps the Company is attempting to create a new fuel supply and grab the world by the balls.

We Have Us An Iron Man
The Metal Maniac replied to LivingLegendGaryColeman's topic in Television & Film
I thought it was cool, but then again, I'd watch a blank screen in a movie theater if it meant I got to hear Sabbath over their sound system, so take that for what it's worth. -
This is the first time in a long while that I've seen a movie during opening weekend, so the hype totally worked on me; that plus I knew I wouldn't be able to avoid spoilers for much longer. Very much worth it; I felt the movie delivered everything it promised, and what more can you really ask for? Also, I've had that 1-18-08.com site opened in another window for a little bit, and it just roared at me. Cool.

"We live in a society of laws! Why do you think I took you to all those Police Academy movies? For FUN? WELL I DIDN'T HEAR ANYBODY LAUGHING, DID YOU? Except at that guy who made sound effects."

I have to ask how you guys had a little debate about the accuracy of Grandpa's "Stories That Don't Go Anywhere" bit, and yet missed Cheech's rendition of "Batman's a scientist." I'm sorry, but that was kind of a mess.
-
Someone mentioned that Jasper doesn't get enough love. I agree. "Sir, can you ever forgive me for shooting your wooden leg?" "You shot who in the what now?" I use that line weekly. And furthermore, "Moon pie? What a time to be alive."
-
"And now, I'm going to burn this donut to show you how many calories it has." "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "The bright blue flame indicates that this was a particularly sweet donut." "This is not happening...this is not happening." I think Grandpa's "I'm cold, and there are wolves after me" line is one of the best ever.

Awkward moments involving roommates.
The Metal Maniac replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in No Holds Barred
41. You awaken to what seems to be the sound of running water. When you look to find the source, you see your roommate, drunk as a skunk, pissing on your closest. Yes, on; the door was shut. A first demand of "What the fuck are you doing?" is met with a nearly incoherent "using the fucking bathroom", or something to that effect. Subsequent demands are met with a punch in the face. Best of all, said roommate has no recollection of this event whatsoever. (In fairness, this didn't actually happen to me, though this guy is my roommate now. This was a while back.) -
New Soul Calibur IV characters announced
The Metal Maniac replied to AndrewTS's topic in Video Games
I know this is nitpicky beyond belief, because it's a video game featuring sci-fi characters but....shouldn't the lightsabers just cut everyone else's weapons in half? -
Yeah, I can see that. I try to disassociate the earlier stuff from the later stuff in my mind, cuz it got to the point that the newer stuff bugged me enough that I almost stopped watching the older stuff, then I realized that was stupid.

If I recall, Marvin Munroe isn't dead. Wasn't there an episode somewhat recently where he appeared, and someone said something to the effect of "I thought you were dead," to which he replied "No, I've just been very sick." I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that. Checking Wiki, it was "Diatribe of a Mad Housewife", from Season 15...the one where Marge writes a romance novel about whaling times in which she essentially leaves Homer for Ned.

The whammy bar itself feels fine, but it just doesn't actually do much on the screen. Does that make a difference, or...? Thanks.
-
Question: I picked up the GHIII bundle for PS2, with the wireless controller. The whammy bar on it seems very unresponsive; no matter how much I press on it, very little actually happens. I tried calibrating it, and that didn't help, but I suppose it's possible I didn't do it right. Do I just need to tinker with it a bit, or return it? Any advice is appreciated.

How did you find out that wrestling was not "real"?
The Metal Maniac replied to majormayhem1's topic in General Wrestling
I actually had to tell my father that UWF-I was fixed. It was on TSN one day or something, and he was quite impressed that there was "real" wrestling on. -
WWE General Discussion - December 2007
The Metal Maniac replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
That I could see, but it seems like the WWE caters to fan B at the expense of catering to fan A sometimes, so fan A doesn't watch as much, which in turn, means b isn't going to watch at all.
