Yeah, that was pretty fucking mind-blowing.

Ohio Inmate Says He's Too Fat to Execute

I read somewhere that firing squads are conducted as Matt said; 5 guys, one blank. Also, they apparently put a target over the victim's heart. That said, there have been instances where nobody got a killing shot, and they had to fire again. That'd suck. Anyway, just put him on a starvation diet until they can jab the needles in. Simple. Though Eric easily has the most metal solution. Brutal.

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine

You may not be aware of the story here, so lemme explain a little: Wolverine joins the Weapon X program, a clandestine government project working with mutants. The Weapon X program? That's a group. Of mutants. For him to separate himself from when he inevitably flips the fuck out.

    Prison Break

Very glad to read that spoiler. It didn't make sense, in my mind, for the Company to have done that, so this makes me happy. That said, man, the 3rd season pissed me off. Had they gotten out of prison around the time that they tried the escape where they literally climbed over the wall and had to go back or whatever, I wouldn't have been so bothered, but with them back in prison after that I was like...ugh. I dunno, just the amount of time they spent in that jail bugged me, cuz I really wanted to see what it looks like we're gonna see next season - Michael going after the company (or at least those 3), taking them down, and getting to the bottom of the whole conspiracy, that's what I wanna see.

The worst are the people who open a box, look at it, then put that back on the shelf and grab an unopened one.

    I'm High

Gimmie some more info on this "gateway" drug stuff. I will freely admit that my knowledge on the subject is essentially limited to TV commercials and stuff I thought about while high. What is it that makes weed the gateway drug? Like, how is weed inherently different that it makes you want to use other drugs? What % of weed smokers go on to use crack? What % don't? I still don't think that the decriminalization of pot would lead to massive quantities of people searching the streets for heroine (again, I won't try to dispute that it would have such an effect on some people), but you seem to know something I don't here, so fill me in.

I probably shouldn't have actually used the phrase "offered" - the point I was trying to make is that, by being in any part of the illegal drugs lifestyle (sorry, I can't think of a better phrase), the chances for you to acquire other drugs skyrockets. Not to say that one day your dealer is gonna ask if you want crack outta the blue (but he might, I dunno) but I mean, you'll be in the company of other druggies, God only knows what they're on, what kinda shit they're in to...know what I'm saying? Once you're on the inside, it becomes easier to get anything. Put weed on the outside, and is it still a gateway?

    I'm High

Yeah, but here's the thing - is weed *really* a Gateway drug? What I mean by that is...well, lemme put it this way: Where does someone go to buy pot? A drug dealer. What do the sell? Lots of other drugs too, probably. So now you've got someone going to the only place they can go to get weed; and that same person is now offering them crack, acid, whatever else. Sooner or later that person may try something. Now, consider that vs a scenario where weed is purchased through legal means. Like, let's say you just had to go see your doctor or whatever. What does your doctor sell? Well, now he sells weed, and probably Tylenol and bandages and stuff too, but he doesn't sell heroin or coke, I'd wager. I'm not gonna argue that for some people, yes, trying pot will make them want to try other things. That said however, I think that the "Gateway Drug" effect is exaggerated, because of the environment you have to be in to get pot in the first place. I really don't think that your average Joe, trying some new legal pot to help him relieve stress, is gonna finish his joint then run out into the streets looking for a crack dealer. It'd probably also be wiser to go the decriminalization route rather then straight legalize. For a while, at least.

Because it's hypocritical of the government to say that one potentially dangerous, mind-altering chemical is not to be used, while another potentially dangerous, mind-altering chemical is for sale at your local supermarket. Furthermore, the high costs of being caught with pot in the states seems, to me, absurd. That and the totally wrong propaganda BS they had going on in the states around the time that pot was banned makes me think the government really needs to re-visit the issue. I mean, they made a movie about how smoking pot was going to make you kill people, and had newspapers with absurd headlines about how hash was giving your son the bloodlust.

    Venture Bros. Season 3

Bored: I always thought the most disturbing moment of the show was that dream of Dr. Venture's when he devours his twin brother while in the womb, but to each his own, I suppose. That said, another good episode this week, and while it doesn't come up, me and my roomie were thinking that Hank's belief that he can't die should make for some excellent comedy in the coming episodes.

Games you can beat to death

Mega Man X. I'd add X3 and X4 onto that list, as I can tear through the first stages of both those games no trouble too, but the final final bosses fuck me p.

    The Mike Levy Incident

Bad enough to book her in a deathmatch; book her in a deathmatch against a guy who's barely even trained? Idiots.

    The Mike Levy Incident

I'm still trying to figure out why they would bring in a guy who was apparently a relative nobody, and stick HIM against the person who had to be on TV in a week. Why not toss her in the ring with someone she'd worked a bunch? Also, people who don't realize that PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES and that people get HURT wrestling need to not be wrestlers. Pretty fucked-up that what could've been an honest mistake led to that. Even more fucked up that it was in a fucking DEATHMATCHES tournament. If you've gotta be on TV in a short while, what the FUCK are you doing wrestling deathmatches?

That's kinda exactly the point. There is no difference. Treating people in a certain way based on their skin color is racism. It doesn't matter what color you are, or what color they are; if you're a black man who hates Asian people, you're racist. If you're a Mexican who hates Indians, you're racist.

I'm at the hospital right now

So wait, this guy was doing coke for 9 hours....and then you tried to make him sit still? Sounds to me like that'd almost be harder then the actual stitching.

I'm at the hospital right now

Not sure exactly how long it took me - it was about 5 or 6 when I split my head on a metal shelf, I went right from work to the hospital, and I didn't get out of there until, like, 11-12ish? One guy who wasn't a doctor saw me before that and said I prolly didn't need stitches, then a doctor showed up and said that I did.

    WWE Raw (7/14/2008)

Yeah, I guess. I'm really just trying think of ways they can not end this no GM bit. I really enjoy it; I had actually stopped watching RAW, started again when CM punk won the belt, and have been watching it since. If they go back to the same kinda shows they had before Punk won, blah.

I'm at the hospital right now

Man, last time I had to get a tetnis shot because I gashed myself open, I stood around doing nothing with nothing to watch and nothing to surf until my head stopped bleeding. Then they decided I had to be stitched up anyway, despite having stopped bleeding. I should find a hospital that doesn't suck.

    WWE Raw (7/14/2008)

This is a good idea, I think, and there's no reason why they couldn't still do it. Next week, Shane and Steph announce someone as the new GM, they come out at the start of the show an try to lay down the law, then someone like Cena basically tells them to fuck off and knocks them out. Show continues as it has the past few weeks. They can toss a couple potential GM's to the wolves over the weeks, each one being unable to get things under control, until someone manages to and they stay GM.

and the new Incredible Hulk is....

For the record, Marvel is releasing an Avengers movie down the line, around 2011 - but they're going to do Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man 2 before that.

    WWE Raw (7/14/2008)

You know, the logic in those McMahon things at the start of the show escapes me. They say they want everyone to "get along". So what, they don't want people to wrestle? And 4 guys getting together and deciding to have a match to determine the #1 Contender? That's not getting along? I mean, I kinda see what they're going for, but at the same time, RAW's been awesome without a GM, and I hope one never ever comes back. Like, shit, virtually every segment, if it didn't involve a match, ended with someone being booked into a match. Nobody just talked for 20 minutes and nothing came of it. Even the Hacksaw segment ended with JBL being impressed by the tag champs, so he offered them the main event spot.

    FOOD FIGHT V

Burgers, totally. I love how much control you have over the taste if you just buy ground beef and make your own up. Don't really get that with hot dogs, I find.
