    Does anyone here -play- music?

I played percussion from grade 6 through grade 12, and in grade 11 I got my own drum kit. I still have said drum kit, it's just gathering dust in my parent's basement, since I can't fit it in my apartment.

Woman sat on toilet for two years

Okay, that seriously made me burst out laughing. I read about this story in the newspaper the other day, but the article was lacking some information; like the fact that she had been there for two years. As I read it, the article only said she'd been there for a while, and got stuck; never explained that it was 2 years in the making. At least this is better then that fat woman who got stuck to her couch; this woman at least has the excuse of being batshit crazy.

    I haven't thought about this since 1996.

I was never into marbles, but there was a multi-year marble craze at my elementary that drove me nuts. I could never understand how kids were allowed to dig holes all through the fucking track, thus meaning anyone attempting to run the track for any reason had to constantly watch for holes, lest they destroy their ankle.

    TSM Town Hall: Elimination Chamber

I've only actually seen two EC matches (the first one and the Goldberg one); I thought the first one was good, especially considering it was the first and they didn't really have too much to go on. Did not like the second, mostly because of the booking. Also, the first one kinda annoyed me because, if I recall, they said that the order of entry into the Chamber would be random, but it was the exact same (or very very close) as the order the guys were introduced. I thought that was silly, especially because it was such an easy fix (either don't say it was random, or change the order up). That said, I think they should use the EC only once per year, at No Way Out. Have it be the match where they determine the OTHER WM title match - Like, say if Cena hadn't used his shot already, and he was going to wrestle Orton at WM; they would then have had one EC match at NWO, Smackdown-only, to determine what the World title match would be. I don't think it would de-value the Rumble to do this, because it would still be better to win the Rumble, kayfabe-wise. If you do that, you can pick who you want to wrestle, plus they could start booking all those title matches to be the final match of the night (they don't always do this, I don't think), so you also get that if you win the RR. Oh, and I realize that I left ECW out of this, but they could come up with something else for them, I guess. Maybe an annual tournament? I dunno.

We did that, but with a triangle on top, to make it a house. I'm reasonably certain you need that triangle to actually make it possible. I can still draw it, actually.

WWE General Discussion - March 2008

That's absurd. I had been under the impression that the WWE was doing this to steal people away from wrestling news sites. Why go to 411 or whatever for wrestling news when you can get it right from the horse's mouth? But if they're not gonna give more details when possible (I realize they won't give more details if it's something that'd reflect badly on them), then what's the point? Would it have been that hard to have re-written the article as "this is what happened", not "this is what people think happened"? Unless they feel that this guy being in legal trouble reflects badly on them, but then I'd have to ask why they posted it in the first place.

    Bad Candy

The ones that came in like, an orange wrapper and had ghosts or some shit on them? I remember those hideous things.

    Fast Food Promotions..

    Is this sarcasm? There's like, 10. Seriously. I just double-checked. They're up to 13.

    Bad Candy

Me. I'd get some every Easter, but I'd trade them for superior candy, like Mini Eggs. The advantages of multiple siblings.

    Bad Candy

Venk, that picture you posted of "Smarties" is blowing my mind. They were one of my favorite candies, and I only ever knew them as Rockets. That's messed up.

    LOST

Furthermore, he said that problems can arise in people who've had exposure to mass amounts of electromagnetism or radiation. When he zapped the mouse, he had to put on a lead apron due to the radiation the machine generated, not that it created high amounts of radiation, but because he said he was doing those experiments multiple times per day. PLUS, there was that comment he made when he was telling Desmond to go see find him in the past: "Odd that I wouldn't remember you", or something along those lines. Perhaps he does remember it, and is lying? Or it's him from farther back in the past then that, so technically it's the first time he met Desmond? This is getting confusing.

Regional Differences In Fast Food Joints

Kamala, I can tell you why there's a ton of Timmies over there. The ferry that runs from Maine to Yarmouth. And furthermore, the very idea of a Tim Horton's being empty and not busy sounds like some fantastical myth or something. There's no less then three Tim Horton's on the mall property where I work, and they usually all have a line. Wait, I think there's four now. Also, to jump back a bit, I love Cream Soda, but only when it's red; Clear cream soda fucks with my head, and I was quite saddened to see that Big-8 is apparantly going the clear route.

I thought that they said that in last night's episode Battlenuts, though I could be mistaken.

How did you land the job that you have now?

The trick is to just stop caring. The only think keeping me going currently is that I'm in trade school, so I know I'm gonna be done and have a good-paying job before too long. Also, Jingus, not every single retail place is like that. I've heard from Costco employees that they get good pay and benefits. 99% of retail places suck, yes, but Costco is apparently a nice place to work.

How did you land the job that you have now?

About the same. I think (not sure) that they start above minimum, but not by too much. Depends on where you are in the store too.

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread

Quite true. Honestly, I kinda wish he'd gone 1-6, just cuz I'm curious how someone who watched in that order would view the movies. I found his take on Boba Fett was interesting. Just seems funny to me, someone who grew up just *knowing* how cool Boba Fett was, to hear someone else be like "That's Boba Fett? He didn't do shit!"

How did you land the job that you have now?

Funny story. I went down to the Wal-Mart that was opening up, about 6-7 years ago now, and said "I want a job so I can pay for University!" They gave me a job. So I went to University. And I got myself a BA in History. And I also was not keen on the idea of being a teacher. Nor did I know what else to do. Guess where I *still* work? Fucking Wal-Mart.

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread

Seriously, Clone Wars kicks ass. I can't fathom why the actual Clone War doesn't take place during the friggin' movies, but whatever. Mace Windu schooling an entire droid army is worth it.

    LOST

I did consider that, but that preview makes it seem a little more likely (to me, anyway) that she is one. Plus, Desmond's visions have proven wrong if something changes, and I suppose they could easily say something did; maybe Charlie wasn't supposed to know it wasn't Penny's boat?

    LOST

The LOST webgame, or whatever it was called? I never actually followed through on the thing, I just waited until the info was already discovered by someone else. I could be wrong there, but that's what I recall reading. Yeah, I know, fucking stupid that it wasn't on the show.
  22. The Metal Maniac

    LOST

First off, to clarify a little further, the numbers are the core values of an equation that predicts that humanity will destroy itself, in time. In order to prevent this destruction, DHARMA set up a bunch of tests and experiments, in an attempt to change one of the core values, thus altering the equation and allowing humanity to survive. Also, it occurred to me that Claire almost has to be one of the 6. Remember, the reason Charlie allowed himself to die was that Desmond told him Claire would be getting into a helicopter if he did. I dunno if they'd count Aaron as 6 (since he is just a baby, the media might kinda mesh them into one, you know?), but still, seems like she has to be one of them.

WWE General Discussion - February 2008

Just turned on ECW (it airs on Fridays here) and the Divas match is on. Is it my imagination, or is Joey Styles doing everything short of saying "I can't believe I have to call this fucking shit" during this?
  24. The Metal Maniac

Who here hasn't changed their screen name?

I used to have "_" instead of spaces, cuz I didn't know the board allowed spaces. When I realized it did, I had it changed to spaces.

    Pictures I Like

Eric, did you never read comics as a child? I think I've seen 75% of the Marvel Universe solve their problems with Twinkees. Hell, I've seen most people from Riverdale do the same.
