EWR 4.0 HSW 2.0 Diary! Still Better Than Yours!
WrestlingDeacon replied to WrestlingDeacon's topic in General Wrestling
I promise an update this weekend. I actually have it half written up. Some weeks I wind up with more free time than others. Honky Tonk Orton says relax. Man, that would make a good t-shirt. -
Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The rope didn't break. He was hallucinating as he was hung. Right at the end it flashes back to the bridge with him swinging in the wind dead.

Evil Dead The Exorcist Friday the 13th (choice) Halloween (choice) Night of the Living Dead (1968) The Shining Psycho (1960) Texas Chainsaw Massacre I don't know what you were talking about, that was easy as shit for the most part. The Exorcist vs. The Omen was a good one though. I voted against Dawn of the Dead simply because you had to plug it with exclamation points.

What movie(s) did you watch today?

I remember seeing it years ago as a kid when AMC used to pull out stuff like that. Interesting for Humphrey Bogart's portrayal, but I don't remember a whole lot about it. -
which included him wrestling CHRIS JERICHO with Chris having one arm tied behind his back.

People or things in sports that make you feel old

Kids entering high school this fall never even saw Larry Bird or Kareem play basketball on T.V. for the most part. They consider those guys to be ancient old timers. -

I re-watched Tombstone for my column on 411, had a question about it. Good lord does that movie rule. If you don't like Westerns, it's the perfect one for you to give a shot. I'm watching the Devil Doll on TCM now. Great special effects for the time. A man wrongly accused and sent to prison gets a serum that can shrink living creatures down to a doll's size and he uses it for revenge on those that wronged him. Weird little flick. -

I watched Auto Focus. Kinnear and Dafoe were very good, but the overall movie was a little bland. I'm watching the Black Cat on TCM now. Good old school Karloff and Lugosi flick. -
One and ONLY Joe Schmo Season Finale Thread...
WrestlingDeacon replied to Mik's topic in Television & Film
I haven't watched every episode, but I've seen a handful and thought it was a very clever concept. Still, any logical thinking person whose mind isn't a bucket of fuzzy goo should be at least slightly paranoid or stand offish after all this went down. Sure they were actors playing parts, but if they could play their characters so well in the show why can't they be faking sincerity now? If you think about it, this is the only real way the show could end without some sort of backlash or leaving a bad taste in your mouth. This is my question, why think they're on the level now? I don't give a shit that "Joe is a good guy" or "hey, they were just doing what they were told." This just all seems a little too sweet and Pollyana for me. -

I just flipped over and checked it out for a second. If all these people were actors who were playing a part and "lying" to him so long, why should be believe all the syrupy bullshit they're saying about how great he is now? -
