Your level cap is 10, unless you pay for Episode 2. I like the game enough that I ponied up.

If you stay as a Re-Re and you beat Episode 1, you unlock the Permanoob class. If you joined, but haven't gotten a friend request from me, send a friend request to Thoth.
-
The first hidden class is Re-Re, which you choose by, when asked to select a character class, never selecting one. It's super hard though, but at level 6, you get the Cute Bunnies! attack, and at level 8 you get It's Caturday!

Woo, people playing. I see oldskool is a hacker, I would have played that class if it were available when I started; it just came out. There are actually six classes in the game; two of them are hidden.

That's pretty cool. What did he think of it? He compared it, in a number of ways, to Spider Man 3. Interpret that as you see fit.

A friend of mine did QA on this.

Unless those search categories under WiiWare were there before, it added them. If they were there before, I have no idea, other than a patch to try to defeat Homebrew. Actual changes: Getting ready for DSi, Wii Points now referred to as Nintendo points.

YOU CAN'T GO, BO THEY'RE FULL UP

Sakura will be playable at Street Fighter Club in Brooklyn on Friday, along with a finished version of HD Remix. The first Street Fighter Club in LA was awesome, but they seem to be doing it bigger in NY.

I played the demo. The fact that you can only terraform where there is dirt reminds me of Red Faction (the first one, anyway), where you "GEO-MOD the Environment! ...where we tell you you can!" Beyond that, the shooter part seemed uninspired.

Sure, I'm in.

"Test" machine? Arcade game has been out for months.

I've personally never been a fan of numeric notation. I have gotten used to it, though, reading the SC4 thread at shoryuken.com.
-
I never used Create a Belt once.

There's alos a possibility of Tatsunoku vs. Capcom getting a US release. Whoops, forgot one. See? It's awesome how many there are.

They do it best. Well, maybe Nintendo is good too. They're better than Microsoft.

Fighting games of recent note: Soulcalibur IV Battle Fantasia Street Fighter 2 HD Street Fighter 4 Mortal Kombat vs Some Dorks Castlevania: Judgment Bleach 2 (On DS) King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match King of Fighters XII BlazBlue The new version of Melty Blood Arcana Heart 2 Tekken 6 Not counting stuff like the impending rerelease of Marvel vs Capcom 2.

Soul Calibur notation uses the A-B-G-K for button presses, and movement is generally noted with the numeric keypad (8 is up, 2 is down... look at your numeric keypad if you are confused).
-
Explain why that's difficult. 1-2-3-4 = Left Punch, Right Punch, Left Kick, Right Kick, which might be the only thing you don't know. Standard Tekken notation, brah. Then again, I don't know shit about sports, so it evens out.

Funny. The only games where I truly notice input lag on PS2 are the Mega Man collections; though I know it has to be happening on all PS2 games. The only other PS2 game I own that shows any hints of irregularity if Final Fantasy X. About 1 out of every 10 battles doesn't render properly or something, and you will see a very slight shadow behind the characters. Otherwise, everything else displays and performs without a problem. That's a PS3 back compat issue, at any rate.
-
When my PS2 had problems, I was taken care of by Sony well. I'd still worry, but I'd be optimistic.

Raises Hand. That's all I played in the first Star Craft, and that's likely to be all I do in the 2nd one. And having read that article I think splitting it into 3 parts is pretty lame. On the upside I guess I can skip the zerg one and just buy Terran and Protoss. Maybe not. The way it sounds, is that the Terran campaign is the main one, and Zerg and Protoss are expansion packs. Not sure if anything will be stand alone or not. Too many conflicting reports to determine what's what, though.

I just picked up the 120 GB HD (Fry's had a sale), and one thing I didn't expect is that it loads my Arcade game library up about 50 times faster. That makes me happy.

I get that joke.
