You can't cancel into Ultra's, you will ALWAYS get Super Moves. This is by design, it is not a glitch. You have to hit the Ultra AFTER the Spin Knuckle finishes.

Okay, EX Cannon Drill goes through fireballs, EX Cannon Spike has increased invulnerability. Jumping HK -> Standing HP -> Cannon Spike is very possible, I do it in matches all the time. I'm pretty sure it does have to be the close standing HP, and you generally have to cancel that pretty early. I'll try it myself, and give any other tips I might be forgetting. One thing, though; try hitting the jumping HK high; when you land, you should be closer to your opponent.

I tried playing Dhalsim last night. Comparing him to his form in Super Turbo, where he was one of the best... it's just sad. That, or I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing. Cammy question: I don't know what's special about the EX properties of the Cannon Drill and Cannon Spike (Spinny drill kick and uppercut kick). Anyone know?

Most Sagats would Tiger Knee your ass at that point. If the Sagat shoots two Tiger's in a row at the range you appear to be discussing, they deserve to lose.

With Vega, going off the wall can usually result in a Tiger Uppercut. Mix up your wall dive; do the punch version that sends you at him like a torpedo, that will screwup his timing. Most of the time you will spend on the ground. Your ducking medium punch is your best poke; use it repeatedly. Flip Kick should work for anti air if Sagat's not looking for a cross-up. If you see a cross-up, hit 3 punches or kicks for a backflip. Don't forget your focus attack combo: Focus attack -> Down-forward + Heavy Kick -> EX Wall Dive

Playground rules dictate that Broward can therefore defeat Thoth and doesn't even have to fight him. Broward beat you, and you've beaten Thoth, so clearly Broward > Thoth. Bah! Still getting used to the layout of the stick. Plus, was I using Abel? In Player matches, I like to switch it up; I was trying to see if I could win a match with a character I'm not too comfortable with.

According to the tiers, Sagat vs Vega is the worst matchup in the game. According to me, a good Sagat gives my Vega too much trouble. It is indeed a slaughter.

For those complaining that the combos are hard to do, I really think you need a stick for these. Also, using a stick will allow you to piano your reversals. Against my Vega, if you can't reversal on wake-up, I get free chip damage on you, and I don't have to fear retaliation. From there, I crouching MP, which hits most people because they think they have an opening, when they don't. Then, off the wall, grab or claw, repeat. Gotta reversal that. Also, my Focus Attack combo with Vega is FA -> df+HK -> EX Wall Dive. Learned that in trial mode. God, that's so much fun, and it demoralizes the opponent. Trial mode blows me away with its usefulness; I read Seth Killian personally designed each combo in that mode. Edit : I didn't explain pianoing a reversal. Like, when doing a dragon punch, roll your fingers over each punch button. A press or release counts as an input, so you have 6 chances to do a reversal.

For those considering the collector's edition: Figure is cool, but I won't remember it's sitting on my dresser. Hint/artbook is too small. Soundtrack is okay, I guess? Free DLC is just the Brawler Pack. The animated movie makes no god damn sense. Game's fun, though.

Trying to avoid jumping on the "cheap" comment. However, if you're on XBL I will treat you extra special. There is no Player Match like HD Remix. Capcom has hinted that will be in a patch. As far as tournaments go, I think those will be in the Championship DLC that's coming for free in a few months.
