The true identity of Bill Fillmaff!!!!!

I had a shit terrible GPA (2.4-2.8 I don't care to look), and I've been working at my dev job for a year. I got in due to recommendations from my old internships and a professor whose class I aced. With 1 year of dev work under my belt, I don't need to show my GPA on my resume, and it's far less relevant now. GPA can matter right out of college, but nothing can compare to some savvy, ingenuity, luck, and poise.

No. Click the Play Online link.

It should be under the Wireless Options of your router settings. To get to your router settings, type 192.168.1.1 into your web browser address bar. Username and password should be admin and admin, unless you changed them.

I didn't have the balls to say TF2 for some reason. I have no idea. I want that friends achievement.

Upcoming game nights I want to do: Call of Duty 4 Fighting Games (And with GGPO, EVERYONE can get in on this) Madden NBA Pokemon

Crap. Seriously? I hate to say this, but from my distance, I have no idea. I'd have to look at it.

I'd advise you to check your DHCP settings... and maybe some ports need to be forwarded. It's possible the router is really confused about which Wii to send the traffic to. That one exactly, Mike.

So, the VC Gift giving thing is out. I was wondering if anyone was interested in participating in a TSM Secret Santa of sorts. Basic ideas: People choose to participate. For every person participating, they give one VC game to someone else in the list of people, randomly chosen (I'll draw names out of a hat and PM people) You can choose whatever VC game you want to give. If you gift a game that is generally agreed upon to suck, you may be subject to public humiliation. To participate, you have to be on the list of Wii Numbers. I imagine if I get at least 5 people, it'll be worth doing. Anyone interested? There's no point in buying the GL model. The GL model is designed for enthusiasts who like to use and develop their own firmware. I recommend the WRT54G, which should be about $10-$20 less. Using custom firmware is only useful if you know WHY you need to use custom firmware.

I should mention that game nights are open to all systems. I'm not gonna pick just one.

A wired connection, generally, is automatic. Basically, the PS3 asks the network, "Am I online?" Network says "Yeah,", PS3 says "OK, Cool." The way I do my connections, there is an installation process, but only because I am DEAD FUCKING SERIOUS about my network. Wireless, IN MOST CASES, can be automatic. Here's how it works on the Wii: You go to your Internet settings, and select New Connection; Wireless Connection. Wii will then browse for available access points. Select yours, and connect. Wii will attempt to connect. At that point, everything should be hunky dory. As for myself, I run using static IP's, so I have to do some ka-jiggering with the settings. However, that's my choice in networking. You should be fine "out of the box." Set the channel of your wireless router to 1 or 11 for best effect. P.S. I do more than just Static IP's, so no smart aleck comments about how I think I'm hardcore because I run static IP's.

I would agree, and say Go Pro. However, the very fact that you're asking this question makes me wonder if you couldn't get away with an Arcade. Can I ask why you're asking which one to go with?

You can buy games from the NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Turbografx-16, Turbo CD, and Neo Geo. Rather than us explain it in detail, just go to the Wii Shop channel after you get your Wii online and up to date with the latest firmware. It's self-explanatory, and it's a lot of fun to browse. But the upshot is, you buy points with Visa or Mastercard, and spend points on games. Games show up as additional channels in your channel list. Also, new channels for free are available (Votes Channel, Check Mii Out Channel, The Metroid Prime channel which I guess is kind of irrelevant now) If you have any issues connecting your Wii, just ask.

No game this week due to the holidays. Next week, let's give a few games, since the purpose is to play together, not to restrict people to a game. I decree Guitar Hero 3/(NO GH 2 FOR YOU)/Rock Band.

I got Super Ghouls N' Ghosts, which is the one game that I already own in cartrdge form that, more than any other, I would pay for again.
-
Yup, it'll add. I've been buying PC games that have 1 month free trials, and it keeps adding a month to my existing time.

Now is good. I'm hosting a lobby right now. ThothBeyond is my gamertag. Send an invite if you don't have me on your list.

If SFIV comes out for the Wii, I have no doubt it will support the Classic Controller. Nevertheless, it HAS to support waggle because Nintendo's guidelines force makers to allow a Wii Remote/Nunchuk combo. FFS, Guilty Gear supports the Classic, and it is blatantly obvious its waggle is an afterthought tacked on to make certifications.

I'd prefer Halo 3, on the sheer basis of not owning CoD 4 on 360. Hell, since this is my thread, Halo 3 tonight. All are welcome. Wear your fucking headset, for fuck's sake.
