In the mood for a comedy tonight?
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to Styles's topic in Current Events
As I mentioned, Larouche is very antisemetic and anti-Israel which is likely why they continue to target poor Joe. Good point, which puts a sick angle on the protesting. -

That was the best reply I've ever seen Lieberman give. -

It came off well for that crowd, and it gave probably the ONLY possible good argument for affirmative action itself. -

Edwards is looking pretty good tonight, actually. Too bad he's polling worse than Sharpton. -

Oh shutup. Really, its you guys who have claim to Larouche, mmkay? Technically, LaRouche is more of a conservative than a liberal. But, I mean, it IS Fox News, and Brit Hume isn't doing much to moderate the debate. So, while it's been better than expected, it will never be perfect. -

Conservative plants, most likely. It's on Fox, after all. -

I can imagine him just thinking "... Wait, what the FUCK?" when that question was asked. The guy actually asked Dean about how he can reach out to minorities since he's from such a white state, which isn't much better. He did a good job with the response. 4th LaRouche supporter?!? WTF?!? -

ANOTHER LaRouche supporter. WTF? They have more than two?!? -

Dean just clarified that in his turn. -

It was something to the effect of "Dean supports gun control in minority laden areas, but not in white dominated ones. What's your thoughts, Ms. Mosely-Braun?" -

That was the most LOADED question I've ever seen. -

Sharpton can talk quite well. He's still an idiot and if he wanted to cause the front-runners a lot of problems as they can't really afford to attack him or the more idiotic Mosely-Braun. -=Mike Oh, I agree, he's extremely good with this sort of stuff. Sharpton shot a barb at Dean for having a white-bread candidacy (which, to a certain extent, was true), but he was actually hit by huge backlash after that remark. Mosely-Braun is actually a very nice woman that comes off very articulate (I actually had the chance to meet her after the NOW debate in Washington, DC). I don't think she'd make a wonderful president considering her feminist standings, but she's a pretty good speaker as well. -

This is surprisingly un-embarassing for Democrats, minus the idiotic Kucinich's single-payer plan proposal just now. Seeing it on Fox News, I expected it to be much more slanted than this. -

Kerry and Dean hate each other about as much, but Kerry has shown restraint pretty well. -

I know I'm partisan to the issue, but Dean just fucking owned Lieberman. -

Al Sharpton is probably the best speaker out of these guys. -

Well, people will drop out around the time of the Iowa caucuses and the like. Unfortunately, with primaries so completely front-loaded as they are, inept candidates have an outside shot of maintaining enough "heat" to screw over the best possible candidate. Lieberman has lost all credibility with his run as Gore's veep in 2000. -=Mike You're totally right, and it takes time away from the legitimate candidates who have a shot at winning this candidacy. -

Dean spun the last part as more domestic, bringing up renewable energy. That's happy. ANOTHER PERSON YELLING, WTF. -

People need to drop out of this race, because these debates are a huge joke at the current time. Also, Lieberman's "ball busting" was quite feeble, in retrospect. -
In any case, no one gives a shit what you do. The central argument here is that you're no better or worse than anyone else because of your job. No one gives a shit that you make a lot of money. No one cares that you handle delicate clients (a nice way of saying "placate rich people"). Also, no one gives a shit that you take "survey's" on the side (since you won't get it, let me point out for you that "survey's" shouldn't have a comma there) and make even more money. What we do care about is the FACT (uh-oh, that word) that you seem incapable of grasping that there's more to life than money and status. You also seem incapable of grasping basic grammar and linguistic concepts, but we've grown used to that. In any case, you're still a first-rate idiot with no respect for anyone not as "cool" as you, which in your eyes is pretty much everyone. Ironic, since being a complete moron was never in fashion. By the way, good job on posting a picture of the Brawny guy. It isn't funny and doesn't help your argument, but it does give me one more thing to criticize about you, and for that, I'm thankful. That was worthy of a trendy forum picture that says "OWNED" on it.

That has to be the most interesting link anyone's ever posted in CE. But, anyhow... I think we need to, by and large, stay the fuck out of the bedrooms in terms of laws. However, in the case of a parental/child relationship, it's almost always a case (forgive my lack of a citation or anything, I think it's pretty much common knowledge) of either rape or coersion, which is something that cannot be tolerated or legalized. That's a case where someone in being taken advantage of, and it certainly needs to be regulated in the most harsh manner. HOOOOWEVER... in the case of in-breeding... while it's not necessarily pleasant to think about, Teale brings up a good point; there is far too much grey matter here to make a true distinction between such things. In such grey situations as this -- at least in terms of social matters, definitely not in nat'l security matters or anything -- I'd prefer to err on the side of a socially laissez-faire position. So, if you don't read the rest of my post, I'm basically saying that parent/child relations should NEVER be allowed, and the others may as well be legalized.

This is truly one of the worst threads I've ever read.

Oh, I tend to agree with you Jobber; I don't particularly like that bill or anything, but I don't think your argument of an increased risk of terrorism is a valid one.
