  1. It's not like it's that difficult to get into the country in the first place; hell, we give enough Student Visas, etc. that they could get in legally and get a license that way. In addition, it's not like the supposed terrorists wouldn't have additional help in the states in the anyway, so a drivers' license really has no bearing on terrorism in itself. EDIT: Reworded because I have a terrible vocabulary.
  2. I know, and it's sad.
  3. Why would you care? It's not like you have any vested interest in this article anyway, you're just trying to provoke me or something, showing 'hypocrisy' when there really is none.
  4. S-L-B... never mind.
  5. I turned 19 in May, so I still maintain my standing as "pretty young".
  6. Considering the state is practically bankrupt, they need to tax something.
  7. Personally, I'd just rather have a democrat in office for obvious reasons: with a democratic governor, it makes it much easier to campaign for president. I think the "No To Recall, Yes To Bustamante" route is basically a big CYA for democrats. It allows them to not split their tickets; this is an option that the republicans currently don't have. However, I'd probably... eh, I'd probably prefer Bustamante, since he *seems* (note: I don't know if it's true or not) to be more of an innocent than Davis, but then again, I think both of them would do a better job than Arnold.
  8. I thought he was socially laissez-faire... He didn't outlaw it, did he?
  9. It's more incentive not to smoke. He is, after all, a physician.
  10. Well, according to recent polls, he's taken the lead. http://www.dailykos.com/archives/004091.html#004091
  11. Eh, Murdoch is only a funder... he doesn't have much say in the rag. That distinction goes to Bill Kristol. But anyhow, it's suprisingly even-keel, even though I do have one thing to add (which likely wouldn't have been in the article anyway). Dean's starting to shy away from the complete repeal of the tax cuts, as reported by Kos from www.dailykos.com (and I can't find the direct link to the story, so I do apologize), who is far more on the inside of the campaign than any of us. Dean's campaign staff is crunching the numbers to try to maintain the middle class tax breaks (as minimal as they are). He's even started changing the rhetoric in his stump... example: "tax repeal" to "tax reform". So, yeah.
  12. Apparently not. It's just the trendy thing for liberals to support right now, so it's my avatar for another few weeks.
  13. How the crap am I older than Kibs? Happy birthday.
  14. Eh, that's just a general "wrestling fans are typically morons" thing, though.
  15. While I prefer meaningful shit over "Pimps 'n' hos 'n' niggas" type rap, I still have to say... you're a fucking fool if you think it doesn't take talent to rap. For some reason, I just spelled rap as "wrap"
  16. ~! I should check this folder more often.
  17. Uh, for gubernatorial candidates, they are.
  18. I've actually heard reports that he's pared the debt down to like 8 billion. This may or may not be a good thing, of course, due to the destruction of civil service jobs and whatnot.
  19. I really don't know WHO I'm playing. But uh... yeah...
  20. That's fine, "I'm... Clinton... Portis... I'm better than anyone on BPS's team"
  21. FUCK YOU. I'm... Willis... McGahee... you know you want me...
  22. With the lack of a truly good candidate, I'm still betting he'll (barely) survive the recall.
