John Maine's final line - 7.2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 14 K Bravo, sir.
-
Sure is cool how I can't watch any of this game. Not Maine's terrific performance, not the Mets' offensive explosion, not the brawl between the two teams. Thanks FOX!
-
RE4. It's one of the best games released in the past few years, whereas Strikers is a lot of fun but grows old pretty darn quickly.
-
Okay. One hundred and fifty-nine games and we're no closer to deciding a division winner. The entire season comes down to the next three days. Might as well forget everything that's happened, 'cause it doesn't matter anymore. I'm hoping the Metropolitans can adopt that attitude and save their year. Let's go Mets!
-
Figures. The one night the pitching is solid the bats completely die. I'm not even mad anymore. Just numb.

Drive fizzles out just short. Ah well.
-
Oh my God. Mets have scored six runs in the bottom of the ninth to bring the score to 10-9. Three-run Alou double brings in the last three runs.
-
Magic Number's down to four. That's all I care about.
-
And Reyes leads off his team's first frame with a leadoff homer as well, haha.
-
As expected, the crowd consists almost entirely of morons.

What's the Story really drops off after the fourth track (Don't Look Back in Anger) - five through eleven aren't worth listening to, and the version of Champagne Supernova they used for the final track is completely overblown and needs about three minutes hacked off of it. Haven't heard any of their other albums.
-
Ho damn. Maybe they're just shoving him out there in the hope that he'll have an awful performance, effectively justifying the Grossman support.
-
That's a thing of beauty. I've never seen a runningback just shove a defender out of the way with one arm. It's pretty clear to me that, over the course of the season, the Jets' offense is going to hinge on what kinda day Jones is having. Also, Reggie Bush is awful at faking people out.

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/wh...soxnt24.article http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...cs-sports-print What the fuck, White Sox? At least I know for sure now that the players and their manager are equally insane. It shouldn't surprise anyone that I initially heard about this on local radio and the joke that went along with the story was "IF HE WANTED TO KILL A BEAR MAYBE HE SHOULD HAVE SHOT REX GROSSMAN HAHAHA".

Incompetence runs rampant in Chicago tonight. It's not just limited to the players!

Jets looked...okay today. Offense seemed to be working pretty well, with Jones having a big day and the increasingly-impressive receiving corps making some ridiculous catches late in the game. Their defense just isn't getting any better, though. Brown was pretty much running at will and the Dolphins' touchdown drives in the second half looked completely effortless. I was hoping that it would just take time for the team to get used to the new system, but it's looking more and more like they just don't have a whole lot of talent on that side of the ball. Outside of Vilma and Barrett (who's getting really good, really fast) the Jets don't have a single remarkable defensive player. Revis is improving, but he had a couple dumb, costly intereference penalties today that displayed his complete lack of his experience. Well, either way, got that first win out of the way. The Jets could reasonably by 3-2 in a couple weeks, so there's still some hope.

Thank you. I didn't play either of the previous games, so I wasn't aware of that.

Skytown is pissing me off to no end. There are outdoor sections in which you have to make huge Screw Attack leaps from one platform to another. Problem is, the Screw Attack dies on me right before reaching the platform. I made it over the first gap through sheer luck - I bounced off of the destination platform, plummeted to my death, and then respawned on top of it. On the gap I'm stuck on (where the last platform has a rotating wall) I haven't even been able to bounce off of it. Is there some trick to maintaining the Screw Attack that I'm just not getting here?

I like the ones for the Athletics, Phils, and Indians. The other ones, not so much. Also, the name change from Devil Rays to Rays is one of the dumbest baseball-related stories I've heard all year, as it's local Christian leadership that pressured the team into making the switch. It's pretty ballsy of anyone in the Tampa area to demand anything of a team they put so much effort into not supporting. Besides, Tampa Bay Devil Rays just rolls off the tongue, y'know?

I'd like to see Snake do that on the numerous characters that are a good four feet shorter than him.

2007 BA and OBP: .266 and .384 2003 BA and OBP: .249 and .400 Yeah.
-
Yeah, his hands are red hot. Piss hot. What? Shoot, thought we could go the whole season without referencing that. Ah well.
-
Man, Moises Alou is just red freaking hot right now. He's ridden a twenty-three game hitting streak all the way up to a .344 average. Injuries and all, Alou was the Mets' best offseason pickup, and that team option for next year is looking better and better every day.

John Maine has nothing left. Christ almighty.
