Well, I can't speak for right now, but I was able to access it at work earlier today.

I can't ping or traceroute to it. Keep getting timed out errors. I did flush dns, but that didn't help matters either. Hmm.

As frustrating as the last four nights have been, I'm still not that concerned. The Mets are a better team than this, and they'd have to continue playing at this level for literally the rest of the year to actually be in trouble. I'm still more upset at Justin McCariens right now, to be honest. Get back to me when it's half a game.

Haha, I was watching the game at the sports bar with no sound, so I didn't even get to hear that. Morons.
-
Looks like Chad Pennington's not going to be able to start this Sunday. As if this wasn't a tough enough game already, now Kellen Clemens has to make his first career NFL start against what is arguably the NFL's strongest defense. Not gonna be pretty.

Heck of a game at Shea tonight. I'll never, ever understand Willie's decision to relieve Pedro Feliciano with Guillermo Mota, but hopefully that's a lesson learned. The magic number's down to eleven! I might get extremely lucky and be able to see the Mets clinch when I'm down in Miami next weekend.

Steve Phillips - please stop referring to Orlando Hernandez as "El Duque" Hernandez. Use the dumb nickname if you must, but please stop making it sound like his first and middle names are El and Duque respectively.

I have to admit, that bit they just played on NFL Countdown about the Seahawks using a Slip 'n Slide to help quarterbacks learn how to slide was actually kinda funny. Kenny Mayne: "So, do you think the Sit and Spin is helping?" Shaun Alexander: "...helping with what?"

Akron. It's 6-2 Buckeyes now.

This Chinese place on the North side of town called King's Garden. It was always good, but after a few visits they let us order off of the same menu as the Chinese customers, and that's when it became amazing.

So who were your favorite character(s) to play in Mortal Kombat?

I was always fond of Baraka, myself. -
I woulda requested tomorrow off (yes, I have to work on Labor Day) and gone to the game if they had announced Pedro's start even just a few days ago. Stupid impulsive Mets management. Here's hoping for a successful return, if only because it'll be pretty anticlimactic if Pedro gets knocked around tomorrow after the fans and the organization have been eagerly anticipating his return for nearly a year.

A sweep of the Braves in Atlanta was the last thing I expected after the disastrous series in Philadelphia. Great set of games for the Mets as they pad their lead back to four going into Cincinnati. Pedro's start tomorrow is going to be interesting to say the least. He's agreed to not throw anymore than 75 pitches in the game, so it's very likely he won't be going more than four or five innings.

Guy looks like he's about sixteen. He's clearly a little overwhelmed by the moment. Crowd's giving him a terrific reception. Congrats, Clay!

I'll admit it, I laughed at "Manny Wiing Manny".

King Dedede. Bowser Jr. would be pretty cool too.

Matt Kemp is an awful baserunner. My goodness.
-
What, seriously? Unless he's injured or something, I don't understand that move. If the Braves wouldn't mind letting the Mets have him (which they almost certainly would) he'd be a hell of an upgrade over Guillermo Mota.

Mets come through against Trevor Hoffman once more, as Wright ties the game at eight with a sacrifice fly after a Reyes/Castillo double steal. Game's goin' to extras. And just how good are Reyes and Castillo at that double steal? They've done it at least three or four times since Luis joined the team.
-
The Mets came into the bottom of the sixth down 6-1 and are now up 7-6 after a six-run rally, capped off by a pinch hit three run homer from Marlon Anderson. I didn't give the Metropolitans a shot in hell coming back against San Diego's tremendous bullpen, but damn if they didn't prove me wrong in dramatic fashion.

Jets deal Pete Kendall to the Redskins for a draft pick. I've heard that's it's for the 2009 draft and is in either the fourth or fifth round. I'm kinda annoyed that management gave in and traded him, but at the same time, he probably wasn't going to be very effective considering how unhappy he was with his situation.

Speaking of which, what is with all these sports talk personalities saying that Vick will come out of prison and immediately be signed as a runningback or wide receiver? Even if he somehow returns to playing form and can adjust to a new position, what GM wants a player with the reputation of a dog murderer on his team?

http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/mets/2007...ts_jerseys.html Los Mets? Really? I severely dislike gimmicky uniforms and I'm really disappointed to see the Mets join the trend in such a silly fashion.

Wow, didn't see that coming. Juan Castro's basically a bag of balls, so no loss there, and Sean Henry's doing okay in Single-A but isn't exactly flourishing. Not a bad move at all.
