Three-run homer from Ramon Castro puts the Mets up 4-3 in the top of the second. I've heard that Castro simply can't handle a full-time assignment, but from what I've seen of him this year, I don't think management should go nuts looking for a catcher to replace Lo Duca after this season. A decent platoon partner might be all they need. Provided they resign Castro, that is.

They're going to cut away from the Mets/Brewers game every time Alex Rodriguez comes up to the plate. God damn it.

Actually, he was placed on 15-day as of yesterday. It's retroactive to July 25th, so he'll be eligible to come off of the list on the 10th.

I have to admit, The Bronx is Burning is actually kinda good. They'd be smart to recreate the on-field events as little as possible, though - it looks like the actors are in front of a blue screen in those scenes, and the effect's kinda jarring when edited together with actual footage from the game they're acting out.

I can't work up any outrage from this loss since Milwaukee really should have scored in each of the past four innings.
