Oh God, that celebration. Like football doesn't have enough homoerotic tendencies as it is.

That thank you and smile better be packaged with twenty million dollars or so.

Mets asking about Andruw Jones Oh God. Oh God.

Hey, that works out great then.

I'm amazed at how quickly this happened. Mangini kinda got a raw deal with having Favre forced on him (though his level of involvement in attaining him isn't entirely clear) and having to work with coordinators that ranged from decent to utterly incompetent. That being said, I'm glad he's gone and I hope that this is the beginning of a full coaching overhaul.

Man, does this suck. I can take some consolation in knowing that it'll be the Dolphins and Pennington going to the playoffs instead of the Patriots but that's of small comfort. Truth be told, I'm not even upset - I was inconsolable after the Seahawks loss, but now? Can't even manage anything more than a dispirited sigh. God willing, the coaching staff will be overhauled in the offseason and a solution will be found at quarterback. After the embarrassing year Favre turned in a season of Jeff Garcia or Byron Leftwich sounds pretty damn good.

You could go see the Dayton Dragons, they're at home that day. Not exactly on your way but it'd only cost you an extra hour travel time, tops. Fifth Third is a really nice ballpark, too.

The commenters, absolutely. Cerrone's great. I wouldn't prefer Ollie, per se, but I think his contract's going to end up being much more reasonable.

Usually anything that follows that phrase is dumbest thing you're going to hear all day.

What's the difference? They'll all be snatched up and resold at twenty - hell, maybe fifty - times their original value anyway.

Christ. I finished out at 66. I'll probably put in another 70 or 80 when I try to max stuff out in New Game +, but still.

What a complete fucking embarrassment. Today's game proved three things. 1) When the Jets were winning, it was in spite of Favre, not because of it. If he had hit the open receivers that he repeatedly underthrew New York wins today. Stretch the field indeed. 2) Bob Sutton needs to be fired. 3) Eric Mangini is at best an average coach and at worst an ineffectual nitwit who doesn't know how to properly utilize talent. Even if the Jets were to luck their way into playoff spot I can't possibly see them escaping the first round against the Colts or Ravens, who over the past few weeks have shown themselves to be clearly superior teams.

Third interception of the day for Cincinnati cornerback Leon Hall as Ken Dorsey refuses to stop throwing in his direction.

Ballsy. If even another team joins in the pressure will be on the rest of the league the follow suit or else they might be seen as endorsing the company's behavior through silence. Despite him being with the Braves I've always liked Schuerholz and I think it's absolutely the right move given WMG's actions.

I'd like to think that the Jets shouldn't have any problem with the Seahawks but given their problems on the west coast this season I'm not convinced of anything.

Hey, a win. It's been a while.
-
I'm not thrilled about it either but the scenario seems almost inevitable at this point. Also, anybody else notice that the Redskins are about to lose to the Bengals?
-
Not a convincing victory by any means but I'm well past the point of caring about style points. All that's left to do is take care of business against the Seahawks and then come back to the Meadowlands for a Dolphins game that's probably going to decide the division.
-
What a pathetic attempt that was.

Darelle~! Hot damn did this game get turned around quick.
-
There's the weekly baffling interception. Right on schedule.

Leon Washington is pretty great.
