If Navy pulls this off Charlie Weis might as well head straight from the stadium to Kinko's to make copies of his resume.

The only person you could really make any kind of case for would be Kris Jenkins and even that's an extreme longshot. Jones is having a great year but not the kind that wins a runningback the MVP.
-
Hell of a game. My joy is tempered somewhat by the fact that the Jets needed to get lucky to beat a Patriots team decimated by injuries, but not by much. This is pretty great.

NYJ/ATL/DET/PHI/GB/IND/TEN/KC/MIA/NYG/TB/STL/ARI/PIT/WAS/BUF/17 Ton of tough games to pick this week. Jeez.

If the Jets win on Thursday, the odds of them making the playoffs suddenly get really, really good. If they lose, they've gotta beat Tennessee in Nashville to keep said odds from disappearing almost altogether. As weak as their last five games are I don't see them winning more than four of them and I don't think ten wins is going to cut it. So, yeah. Kinda important.

This game is the most entertaining clusterfuck I've seen in a good long while.

Haha, I was wondering about that. It's like the person they initially got to greet the racers canceled at the last minute and they grabbed the gardener to take their place.

Apparently the Jets signed Ty Law through the rest of the season. http://blogs.nfl.com/2008/11/10/jets-sign-cb-law/ Interesting. The team does need help with the pass defense but this isn't where I expected it to come from. He's slated to play on Thursday(!), so I guess we'll learn about his remaining abilities pretty quickly.

Looks promising. If I had to make a favorite Pixar movie list right now, it'd probably be... 1. Ratatouille (Not many people's favorite, I know, but being that I'm fascinated by restaurant kitchens and cooking in general, this one struck a chord with me. Plus, "WITH THIS THUMB" is my favorite line of any Pixar movie.) 2. Finding Nemo 3. Wall-E 4. Toy Story 5. Monsters Inc. 6. The Incredibles 7. Toy Story 2 8. Cars 9. A Bug's Life

Ken and Tina are actually growing on me a little. Ken's likable enough and Tina's gotten progressively less bitchy as the show has gone on. And if nothing else, they're playing the game much better than the airheaded Divorcees or numbskulled Frat Boys.

Jets blowout and a Minnesota squeaker get me an early win. Cool cool.

Not much to say about the Jets game today except that it was funny to see Favre still throw terrible balls that should have been interceptions even when up by thirty points or more. Nice to see Kellen Clemens get some playing time in the fourth quarter. The Thursday night game's gonna be intense.
-
Ends up not mattering much as Iowa gets an interception and now have the ball down two with just under four minutes to go. Edit: Poor JoePa.

Wow, it's only been a few days and socialism's already working out for me! ATL/TEN/JAX/HOU/MIA/GB/NE/NYJ/CAR/PIT/SD/NYG/ARI/14

$2.09 is Aiken, SC this afternoon . I can beat that. $1.91 in Columbus and women are legally allowed to walk around topless. 'Course the only takers are usually the aging lesbian hippie type, but whaddaya gonna do.

Jets have a nasty habit this year of playing down to their competition, so here's hoping for sharp play and a conservative gameplan with a minimum of Pick Sixes.
-
I'm down in Fort Lauderdale today so I got to see the game in a bar full of snowbird Jets fans. I had a blast to say the least. Here's hoping the Colts can get their shit together to complete the two-part three-way first-place plan.
-
Unbelievably important game for the Jets. If they lose, their playoff chances become very, very slim. If they win, possible first-place tie (three-way, and with a loss to the Patriots, but still). The fact that they're banged up and that Favre can't seem to hit anyone in green and white does not inspire confidence.
-
Just barely squeaked by on the tiebreaker. Thankfully Seattle felt like running up the score today.
-
New long snapper comes in...immediately hurls the ball out of the end zone for a safety. 14-14.

Would anyone else here take a sort of perverse enjoyment from a Bengals/Lions game? I'm having a hard time seeing a combined win total above three for those two squads.
