Shit, looks like I'm going to lose. *looks at Edit button*

All the Leafs loses since the mid-90s kind of blend into one lifelong heartbreaking moment (thankfully I'm only 20). I was only 9, so I don't really remember anything about the '93 playoffs except Gilmour's wraparound against St. Louis in OT in the 2nd round. Having Kerry Fraser admit he blew the call against Gilmour in game 6 against LA kills, though, since right now I'd just be happy saying the Leafs have made the finals at least once in my life. Not being able to score against Carolina in the conference finals in '02, yet still pushing 3 games into OT only to lose them all is probably the biggest heartbreak in the past few years, especially since 2 of them were forced into OT by late Leafs goals. I guess the Jays biggest heartbreaks have been in the '85 ALCS and blowing the division to the Tigers in '87 and I didn't have a clue what was going on then, so I guess for them I'd have to pick having a shot at the playoffs from '98 thru 2000 yet falling apart down the stretch and finishing in 3rd, again. The Expos losing the '81 NLCS probably woud have hurt had I been born yet, but right now, just looking back at the '94 strike and thinking about what could have been and looking at the state of the organiziation now kills me. If I weren't so fickle about basketball, it would probably hurt more when Vince Carter missed that last second shot against the 76ers a few years back.

Did Montreal move out west sometime in the mid-80s and I forgot about it?

Well, I'm happy for the Calgary fans and the players after years of nothing, but I'm not going to be running around town with a Canadian flag going 'Woohoo, Calgary's in the finals!! GO CANADA' or anything like that. I'll be cheering for them over Tampa or Philly in the finals, though.

I wish the Jays would just make Frasor the closer. He can't be any worse than Adams and it could be another nice story like when Koch came up a few years back and set the rookie record for saves. Or, he could pick up right where Adams left off today, but we'll never know unless Carlos Tosca tries.

How you can have this thread without bringing up my name is beyond me.

I think the deal starts whenever the next hockey season is. If it's 2005, then the 2 years start then. And, hopefully, rather than just go for the big market teams like ABC did who either aren't very good or are boring (Rangers and Devils, for the most part), they actually show games with teams that most people say are exciting (Canucks and Oilers come to mind at first). Show a Colorado/Vancouver or Detroit/Edmonton game, it's not the end of the world and will probably be more exciting than a Rangers/Islanders game.

Yeah, I'm indifferent to myself, too.

I guess it's not technically a prediction, but earlier in the season I saw someone from the Flames getting interviewed in the team's locker room and saw a poster of the Stanley Cup on the wall so I kind of laughed and said to myself, 'They have no chance of winning the Cup'. Of course, now they're one win away from the Finals.

I'm going to start a petition to keep the Jays off of the Wednesday afternoon games on ESPN. Terry Adams isn't a very good closer, anyway, but he's even worse, it seems, when ESPN's showing him try and save games.

NHL agrees to two-year deal with NBC This is probably the best the league could hope for. They weren't going to make the same amount of money as they did on the ABC deal, but they're getting just as much TV exposure.

Yes, Randy Johnson's a spry thirty-ten. It's weird, I was watching the Jays/Twins game and Batista had a no-no going into the 6th and I was thinking how cool it would be if he pitched a no-hitter. I didn't even know what was going on on TBS until I switched it back to the Jays game during a commercial on 24 and saw an update with 2 outs left.

I got a shower curtain at a Jays game a few weeks back.

Polkaroo's half-banned.

He could probably make a lot of money going from town to town doing his version of Conan's entrance.
-
If it makes any sense, I'd be more upset that Calgary lost as opposed to upset that San Jose won.

Is this actually a fabled WMD, anyway? Admittedly, I don't know much about sarin or weapons of this nature, but if they actually found one after all this searching, I figure the article would use the term 'WMD' in there somewhere.

Did you get a bobblehead?
-
That was against Booker T. Goldberg came out while Booker stood inside the cage like an idiot while Russo was speared to the outside and won the belt.
-
Look on the bright side, he's one of the best pitchers in Devil Ray history.
-
Get me a Bobblehead, please.

Actually, Nik has been posting here for over a year under his old name OnlyMe. Not quite sure why he decided to create a new account for his new name, but he does have some experience posting in the WWE folder before he became a mod.

So, are they going to trade Cabrera now? I thought Vidro would be the one who was gone, but I guess I was wrong.

Unfortunately, my baseball stadium experience is limited to SkyDome and Olympic Stadium, so I haven't had a chance to attend any of the ones usually near the top of rankings (although Olympic Stadium was decent for the football game I went to there, although it was packed 65,000 fans, so maybe that helped). Whatever Pac Bell is called now, PNC, and Camden Yards are probably the nicest looking of the new old-style ones. Wrigley, Fenway, and Yankee Stadium obviously have boatloads of history, and are probably fun to attend, but Yankee Stadium doesn't seem like it's much to look at. The best overall sports experience I've ever had was at a Montreal Alouettes game at Molson Stadium. Small capacity (>20,000), but an amazing atmosphere. Didn't hurt that the Als were killing the team they were playing, so everyone there was insane. The only current NHL arenas I've been to are the Corel Centre and Air Canada Centre (and that was for wrestling). I went to both the Forum and Maple Leaf Gardens, but I was too young to remember anything about them (even though I went to the Forum 3 times). Corel Centre's a nice enough place, if unremarkable. Since I never saw a hockey (or basketball) at the ACC, I can't give full opinions on it, but it didn't seem that much different than the Corel Centre, though it does have a better location (downtown as opposed to out in the middle of a field).

I'm just saying how you claim that BX is obsessed with you for bringing your name up here, yet you're doing the exact same thing with Kamui.
