Aww, no Marney? I could've used the stress relief showing that bitch what a real woman can do.

    Parents fight over gang ties...

*sigh* http://www.snopes.com/movies/actors/jamie.asp Jamie Lee Curtis was born with a Y chromosome - she's even stated such in interviews. Was she born with both male and female sex organs? No. Does she have a Y chromosome? Yes. Is she a woman? From where I sit - yes. I'll get to Marney's replies as soon as I read them because after the above post I had to re-check myself. I've been known to be wrong about stuff... OH MAN have I been wrong before. Not this one though, thankfully as that would have been a rather large egg on my face. EDIT: WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA. Marney's a lesbian? (stealth ultra edit: rereading this made it sound way angry when in fact I'm trying not to laugh so hard this class realizes I'm looking at something odd. Just clarifying, don't want anyone thinking I'm pissed when I'm not) I'm getting fucking static about being Transsexual from A LESBIAN? No replies needed anymore. Hate to say it 'sister' but we're in the same god damn problematic pool according to society. However - gotta say one thing though. I don't oppose my own politics, I just realize they'd never gain traction and I'd lose any election. Society doesn't like my beliefs. And now that I know you better, they don't like yours either. At least I'm self aware enough to realize as such. Wow. A lesbian giving a tranny grief. Wow. Can we revoke your GLBT member's card now? I mean, when we're in our secret meetings coming up with "The Agenda" it's all well in good for us all to backstab each other. But c'mon, rule 28 - don't punch a girl in the face in public. I know a small group of lesbians out there that flat out discriminate against bisexuals and trans-folk as they aren't "Real Womyn". Do you feel that way too?

Nor are they accurate - Jamie Lee Curtis was born with (and presumably still has) a Y chromosome, although born female. No offense taken, just lettin' you know. I don't expect society to ever understand gender variance as long as gender is constantly seen as binary. Which it will. So I just aim for acceptance. I can't describe what growing up and feeling trans (and all the horror that goes with it) just as much as you probably can't describe what growing up and living 'normally' would feel like. Because it just is - how do you describe being a man when you're a man? You're a man. You just take it as fact, and I don't blame you for it. I took it as fact that I was female, in a male body. So I worked to fix the issue. *shrugs* People are weird, eh? *salutes Teal-y Dan* Workin' on it sir! Workin' on it.

Irony right backatcha, boy. I was fine until this part. See, no - my opinion isn't valid. Nor have I ever asked for it to be validated. I'm off the charts - and I understand that. This is why I shouldn't be in politics. My idea would never be implimented, nor should it be probably. But it's my idea and I like it. Be glad that I'm taking myself and my genes out of the pool if it irritates you that much. However, all this back and forth and prick-waving on the internet basically ends up in the same position, regardless of whoever 'wins' - which is nowhere as we're all fucktards on a wrestling messageboard. Never forget that. The more energy we put into this, the more we prove that we're the chaff of humanity and should be deservedly culled. However. Marney got personal, and made to me what seemed like a rather bigoted post. I don't take kindly to being called "Boy", "Man", or any other permutation of the gender I've fought long and hard to leave behind me. Thankfully, since I'm being ridiculed by someone a half-step above Queen LeeLee on the social ranking scale, I'm not particularly bothered. But for people that matter - and on this site the only people's opinions I care about is the SWF and possibly Milky - "Boy" and "Man" and other strong male identifiers tend to piss me off. EDIT: damn. too many apostrophes.

I thought we were talking why I lost style points. Admittedly I'm trying to wean myself off the 'name at the end' thing - I come from the days of no signatures and 9.6k baud BBS'. Hard habit to break.

    Downward Spiral aftermath

I think Annie/Taiga worked out better than either of us thought it would too. Round two... more fun? I'm going to do an 'old style' "comment as I read" post. That's right, I did alternate quotations there. Got a problem punk? ---------------------------------- Opening promo - Jakey Hmm. Short, but gets the point across. I like the slightly effeminate vibe, gives the character an edge somehow. Which is good since the 'feminine male' gimmicks so far have been along the lines of "Billy and Chuck" so I welcome this. More time and wordage could've made this more interesting, but I think we have all felt the "Time and words" constraint at some point in our lives, right? First Match - KOJI v. Jakey First, and I don't know if this is me or if other people feel this way too, but in a match like this it hurts that both fighters go simply by their names. Without nicknames or something it's a lot of "Koji does this, Jakey does that". Repetition can be rough, but what are you going to do since really you can only call KOJI by his last name or Jakey can be... The Fabulous One? Yeah. What else can you do though, it happens. Solid match overall, there's room for improvement, but that improvement comes with experience really. Just so it doesn't seem like I'm downing him (because I like Jakey's stuff) I would like to say that the announce team work he does works incredibly well. Reading it gives the feel of Mak or King really interjecting out of nowhere during the match. Good stuff. Promo - The Queen This needs to be longer, actually. Perfect buildup for a long speech by Annie at the end of it, but I took it too short. Considering I was writing this and a match concurrently... yeah I need to give myself more time. Still, one of the better board promos I've done, combined with one of the better matches I've been a part of. Match - Tod James Stuart v. Arne Andersen (shouldn't it be "Andressen"? c'mon... Netscape ftw?) First off, I'm a Toronto mark. And since we did a best of seven series, I now want to see TJS make it to a ME run sometime. Sometime after me, preferably. Secondly, I don't think I've seen the Norsemen treated quite so seriously as this. Plus, damn if I didn't get thoughts of Flair ordering Blanchard, Anderson and co. around like old-school NWA goodness. Awesome. Match - Va'aiga v. S.I.N. This will have to come later as I'm having a hard time reading it. Not to give offense, but I'm a super pale geek from the northeast by way of Canada. There seems to be a lot of important ring psych going on and I get that, but my brain has no idea how to make "WHO'S HOOD?" not have some sort of silly voice. To me, the answer seems to be "Not Annie". However, the ending - what IS going on with Bruner/SIN/Marv/Va'aiga? While I seem unprepared (or possibly not caffinated enough) to get all the intricacies of the match, the end result leaves me wanting more. Can't wait to see where it goes. Hopefully I won't be too white to not follow along. :/ Promo - Va'aiga Short, sweet, makes sense and gets the point across perfectly. Fuck 'im up, Va'aiga! Match - Annie v. Taiga All I can say is this wasn't hard, but there was a stupidly late start to it. I finished up what I worked on at around 12:30 am my time. The finish could have been a bit less rushed (gotta get to that box truck... LONG RANGE BULLDOG!) but I don't think I've been happier with something I typed. This was a co-write to be specific, Taiga put some excellent stuff in, I finished... wow. Now we do it again? Shiiiiiiiiit Expect some promoage for real. We got a news conference to do or somethin'... Promo - TripsD This is how a show promo should be. I can't say anymore than that since I'm laughing too hard right now! Somewhat CHIKARA-ish, does DDD do an Alex Wright dance too? MAIN EVENTO~! IL v. MANSON IL is awesome, and it's nice to see him get another shot - beating the craziness that is MANSON. I mean faces could've melted, pigeons could rain from the sky... yeah. Anyway, pretty solid match, excellent commentating (I think I focus on this since mine is so awful), and a great setup to the ME next week. Is it me or has the SWF gotten a bit more HRADCROE~! of late? Maybe it's me. So hey - I got paid to read a show and comment. Woo. Next week, same time same channel. -Annie

    Parents fight over gang ties...

*sigh* adoption and freezing. I -could- if I wanted to. Still... heeeeell no. so anyway... You want an even better idea? My first draft of this assignment was to simply enforce a "No reproduction worldwide for five years" temporary effect. Without any way to give the 'law' teeth I had to go back to the drawing board. The result is the mutated killing SAT machine you read about. Assignment. This was a class assignment folks. Got an A+ We had to make our own "Modest Proposal". Seeing the reactions to this, I see why i did so well. Huzzah. Still, to this day I see someone with a baby, and cry a bit on the inside. Little monsters stealing my oxygen. Out of curiousity to the thread killer - what issue(s) do you care about? I've had this conversation because there's issues I just flat out don't care about. For instance: The war in Iraq - yeah it sucks, but it is doing it's main job - killing people. I hate war, but I also hate overpopulation. Weighing both I find war loses out so I become rather "meh" about the whole thing. It doesn't affect me. If overpopulation doesn't affect you like war doesn't affect me, what would you go after? I find people's personal missions fascinating. -Annie

    Parents fight over gang ties...

I'm quite serious, thanks. Good, because I'm serious and that IS my philosophy. I consider overpopulation the top threat facing the human race (not counting the asteroid a 13 year old German boy showed NASA has a 1:420 shot of destroying us) and something needs to be done. It's funny because I'm a liberal, but I'm completely for this. I hate McCain, but if he promised to do this I'd vote him in regardless of his GLBT and war positions. I don't think it's fair to use war as a way of thinning the herd (current method) because it's thinning more than just our own, plus somehow I see the -loss- of life as problematic. So my solution is to keep life from starting in the first place. to quote Slashdot - RTFA. The decision making process isn't followed - it's displayed *before* the decision is made and carried out. We don't know a lot about the brain. How do we not know that it works before it itself knows it works? Free will is something humankind just kind of made up for itself. Sort of like religion. Hey, we agree on something! Do you read medical journals? If so, good for you. I don't. Wired's job isn't to be a medical journal. Their job is to find interesting technological studies like this, translate it for laypeople in an interesting short article so you can get the basics. There's a ton of interesting stuff about this that I'm sure those talked to would love to go into greater depth on. All the data, results and whatnot they've carried out. Because they're obviously lying to Wired to get into print. *deep exhale* Now that I've responded to your points - a question for you. I'm not going to get into political power any time soon. In fact, much like parenting, I realize that I'm woefully unqualified to do it. I'm simply coming up with a solution, no matter how unlikely it is to be done, that actually deals with the problem of overpopulation. Why does that bother you? In fact, forget that, I have a better question. Why don't the deaths of all the 18 year olds that fail the first part -not- bother you? Every time I bring this idea up, everyone bristles at the "Parenting License" part. I find it interesting that society has come to accept that at the age of 18 you're expected to be cannon fodder for the state. Be it via draft or flat out execution. No one ever gets the irony. -Annie

Allow me to derail this argument in the quickest possible way. http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/n...4/mind_decision Free will is not to be assumed as something humans have. I love debate but if your main tenet is in the air - it doesn't hold up. Try again please. -Annie

    Parents fight over gang ties...

K, so wait. In order for me to have control of my own finances, I have to pass high-level, SAT math. Like, really hard stuff. Just so I can decide whether I want to spend $50 on food or power this week. Just to be able to decide how I spend the money that someone gave me for doing work for them. But to raise kids, I only have to pass the sped Psychology class from first-year university? I think you've got things backwards here. You said that parents should need a license to raise kids, now you say that getting said license should be really easy? That doesn't make any sense to me. Sorry, I realized after the fact that "SAT stuff at it's hardest" might imply actually difficult stuff. I take that back - try Algebra I. High school - but early high school - math. Because if you can't do basic algebra, how are you going to work with finances anyway? edit: Spidey's right too - this is only a "if we started out this way" sort of thing. Of course you could never implement this now. I'm simply saying if I got the chance to start my own country this is how we'd do it. Also, due to the military's feelings on this - women that pass part 1 and fail the rest are not required to join the military. Depending on personality and looks they may be eligible for the alternate President Eclectic's Bedroom Suppliment Plan. Skimpy clothes and inebriating substances supplied, inquire within.

Promo: the Airhead, Shopping, and Burning up.

This may be the one of the better feuds I've been a part of, and these promos from you go a long way towards that. I love the glue gun bit, adding a bit of 'human normality' to an otherwise over-the-top production. Priceless! -Annie

    Where should I move to?

My friend Jeff just moved to Sacramento, actually. He loves it out there. I'd consider it myself if there was a good tech and glbt community there. Although the more I look the more that "tech" and "GLBT" seem to have the same people. Curious. -Annie

It's easy to do frankly. It's part of my 6 part test for humanity. At age 18 everyone begins the exam. Part 1 - basics. Purest basics - language basics, simple hygene - basically the stuff you should know if you made it past 2nd grade. Failure to get 60% or more on this exam = termination. Yes, it's horrible and cruel. But dammit this is my program, and I'm horrible and cruel. Deal. Welfare state? NOT ANYMORE. The next five parts are how you earn your rights. 1) Mathematics (again, this is SAT stuff at it's hardest) - right to your own finances 2) History and Social Studies - right to vote (how can you decide on government if you dont' know anything about it?) 3) Basics of human body and mind (think intro to biology and psychiatry - really easy stuff) - Right to parent 4) Science & technology - Right to patents and copyrights/fair use (this exam could solve a lot of DMCA issues...) & right to bear arms (want to use a gun? tell me how ballistics work) 5) Reading Comprehension - Right to Attorney/self representation - additional requirement for driving licenses. There's more but I'm going off memory and can't remember it all. Now, I know what you're thinking. "Wait, what happens if someone passes part one, but fails all the 'rights' tests?". Good question. Better answer. "Welcome to the Army, soldier." Who needs a draft? -Annie

Is it bad that I 100% agree about Parenting Licenses. Dammit, you need a license to DRIVE A CAR. You don't need a license to RAISE A CHILD FOR 18 YEARS. Emphasis mine, but seriously. It's rather logical. We are overcrowding the planet, too many people are reproducing, it is either this or use the government's usual way of thinning the herd - start a war. I like parenting licenses. -Annie

    Goal line blitz

Guh. Just guh. I got 3 tackles, a few pass deflections but meh. We tried I guess. Next season hopefully Annie and Allison can contribute more. 4/20 right? Gotta get some more flex points -Annie

    Goal line blitz

Hmmm, maybe I should put my custom equip for stamina since I haven't touched it and might help. If anything we'll see how the cutsom equip works edit - never mind, when I saw what I could do with it... Ok Ced - check over both my player's stats, see if Allison's decent enough for a starting job - maxed her out to lvl 6 and whatnot. Annie's pimped out pretty good, and her pass defense bar jumped big time if you can get flex points for it, max out the custom. It's huge! -Annie

Where Do You Get the Bulk of Your Music?

Put me in the 'mostly digital' category. I own zero CDs. I own about 23 some odd vinyl albums (including the new TMBG vinyl/iTunes only album "The Else") I have the discographies of any japanese band I like on my iPod, even then I haven't even touched 50 gigs of space on the thing. If music went all digital with vinyl for us record nuts - I'd be set. Bring on the future and the past! -Annie p.s. random side note - Edwin got me into Modest Mouse about 4 years before FNX up here started playing them. Then they got super big. I generally trust Eddie Mac's taste in music. Women? Not sure... but definitely music.

Who's having internet sex with Taiga Star?

RoH personality Becky Bayless. God damn she's hot. I wish I looked like her AND could nibble on those pouty lips. ... it's odd being Trans. I don't recommend it.

    Goal line blitz

Annie tried, nabbing her 2nd INT and getting another KR in. Allison again getting subbed in and being nasty on punt returns. I'm going to up her speed and carrying if that's the case, heh. Annie hit lvl. 8 so I got regular level upgrades plus the equip upgrades. Next I'm going to get some flex points for custom equip - you can boost an entire skill tree for 300 pts. Annie's going to be ballin' soon. -Annie
