Not VALLL!!

We were in the top five in world rankings when they were drawing groups for the World Cups. There were eight seeded teams, and the U.S. were not one of them. We got screwed there. Also, we landed into the group of death with the eventual champs Italy. A funny fact is that we were the only team not to lose to Italy. It could've been a 2-1 win had a goal from DeMarcus Beasley not been overturned. Also, I consider that the game where Bruce Arena lost his job. McBride was gassed and had fresh stitches in his face. You have Johnson on the bench, who would've had much better luck getting behind the tired Italian defense with his tremendous speed. David Beckham is not going to make soccer in America huge by himself. He's the first player to come over. If it works out, you may see a lot more well-known Europeans coming over. Also, with the "Beckham Rule", every team in the MLS has two players which it can designate for salaries greater than the salary cap of about 2.5-3.0 million dollars. The good news is that Beckham can still play, and should be able to make a big enough difference so that the oncoming verbal fellatio from broadcasters doesn't seem too forced. He should also be able to handle some pretty hot conditions, too. I was able to hold up pretty well from a midfielder in the 95 degree heat of Bavaria. Maybe Zidane comes out of retirement if Beckham works out. The country already knows him for the headbutt of a thousand deaths. This has a shot of working out.

The movie looks better than Aqua Man, though. I hope it just achieves moderate success.

Houston is pretty comparable to South Florida.

A Cena debate is for another time and place for me, as I don't watch enough WWE to begin with, let alone have WWE financial trends at my disposal. On the other hand, I find it weird that twenty years from now, these kids may be at the bar in their middle to late twenties talking about the good old days where John Cena was king. Meanwhile, I'll be in my early forties with absolutely no time on my hands to watch wrestling. I'll flip it on one night to see Steph and Trips' baby headlining shows, somehow.

True. But putting him over big at WM, and then jobbing him out to Shane is a bit lame. Now, if Shane just pinned him after the slam, it would make Khali look....fuck it. Whatever.
-
Well, it got worse for Lashley.
-
The kids and women buy merch, but males 18-49 don't like him. It could be worse, I guess.
-
All he does to cause controversy....is that he breathes? Zuh? I wish they could just come up with something different.
-
I'm surprised they acknowledged both chants.
-
This match will have an interesting crowd.
-
Also...I really believe that David Wright swings too early in that commercial.
-
Santino is over. I figure that if you get a decent chant for a three syllable name, you're in good shape.
-
I would like to see Khali walking around backstage, growling, and chokeslamming random people through conveniently placed tables. I was a mark for the Positively Kanyon gimmick back in the day.
-
I like that Darrell "Knocked Up" commercial. I also enjoy the Office-Virgin-Knocked Up connection.
-
I love the sound of the crowd just after male on female wrestling violence.
-
Victoria looks good, as usual.

I want a moving image of that RKO. Nasty.

I have been feeling the price hike on cigarettes here in Texas. I have to go to the CVS Pharmacy to find a pack that costs less than 4.50. I find it quite ironic. I'm actually considering going straight for the Dunhill Reds at my local supermarket for the fact that the tax hike didn't include those cigarettes. I may have to pay fifty cents more for the cigarettes, but I realize that they make me smoke less. I go down to less than a pack a day if I smoke them. It's strange. As for quitting. I have gone for a month on two seperate occasions. Once I went cold turkey, which was terrible, and the second time I used patches. I would use patches if I were you. Mental cravings only last about five minutes or so, then you are fine for a while. And you will not quit because of alcohol. People are prone to chain smoking when drinking. The two just go together too well.

Scientists predict next 193 years of Earth History
A Happy Medium replied to Quasar's topic in Current Events
While we are rising quickly from the population of 6.5 billion, the prediction is that the population will top out at a shade above 10 billion by 2150. Let us not get carried away about the world population spiraling out of control. The number of 10 billion should be the ceiling. Add in the decreasing potency of sperm, and the developing world; well, developing in ways that will lower the birthrate, and you have a solid number to look at. Here are the facts. I hope you guys are down with the ecological footprint. In theory, a person in the world has 4.5 acres to work with. Used to produce food, shelter, and energy. In the U.S.A., the average person uses 24 acres. And across the world, I believe the usage is 5.5 acres. A good way to start would be, of course, for the average American to lower their usage of resources a significant amount. I suppose by the time 2150 rolls around, a person in the world would only have around three acres to work with. Yeah... Also, the birthrate in the U.S. has gone down drastically in the last fifty years, yet where I live, everyone owns an SUV that can fit more than they produce. Does anyone have an idea why this is? -
Creed's retelling was awesome. I agree. ....sock of nickels and an aerosol hairspray equipped with a lighter...

Anderson Cooper could kill a grizzly with a paperclip and a microphone. It goes to show that manly dudes can also enjoy the company of other dudes.

You should enjoy the Hang 'Em High map. Catwalk battles, and they have some nice shotgun pits, if that makes any sense at all.
-
Hang 'Em High was all about the pistol in the first Halo. I'd imagine the battle rifle will be the main weapon in this one. Then again, the battle rifle is very important in nearly every map.

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread

Also, in ROTJ Obi denied that there was any good in Darth Vader (more machine than man and all that jazz)...even though he was told otherwise by Padme in ROTS.
