From PWInsider: I don't have a problem with this at all, and it makes perfect sense in terms of booking. This finally removes Samoa Joe from the X-Division (hopefully for good), and new guys are moved up and maybe we'll get something fresh in terms of that title. On the other side of it, we can continue with the Joe/Steiner feud, which in my opinion has been very solid so far, including the match (even with the out-of-nowhere finish). I was hoping to see the feud evolve, and it looks like we'll get just that.

I actually agree with you as well, big shocker I know. The only thing in WWE that even comes close right now is King Booker's Court, and the feud against Lashley, etc... I don't know if Kevin Nash was sincere or not, but he was really putting Alex Shelley over recently in a conference call. I know it'll more than likely never happen, but I'd really like to see Nash just become Shelley's bodyguard, just like Nash proposed in that call.

Sounds like a solid house show to see live. Did HBK and HHH have on DX tights?

I actually thought that exact same thing a few times while watching the show.

I really enjoyed SD tonight, big time. Truth be told, I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a WWE TV show more than tonight. There were a number of very solid matches, JBL was great, and there wasn't a lot of "crap" just wasting time. I loved the finish to the Booker T/Lashley match. The way Lashley caught Booker, kept his balance, and the ran forward and slammed him down HARD, it was just awesome. "He's got a malignant case of moron." - JBL

I find it funny that there are only eleven actual workers listed on the ECW Wrestlers page. Other than that, they have four women, one announcer, the "owner", and one (retired) legend.

The DVD of See No Evil needs to have a lot of behind the scenes footage of Kane really trying to kill the cast members, just to keep the gimmick going.

From PWInsider: Could Vito be the new Mark Henry? Meaning that he's going to suck it up and do anything asked of him in hopes of getting that one big push one day.

Are any of you almost worried about the show ever being live now? If the crowd was that bored with it being taped before SD, with ECW being the crowds first taste of action for the night, then imagine how they'll react to that type of product after SD where they get to see Booker T, Batista, Lashley, maybe Taker, and everyone else. Hell, some people might even just leave.

It was right after Kelly's strip tease, also the point when Tazz and Joey made complete asses out of themselves and shilled for that terrible stuff. NOTE: I had to cut this down to get it a decent size. Also, at the point he puts his head down he actually kept it there longer, but I cut it a bit there to get to the end. Anyway, here is what this fan thought of the debut of ECW:

Oh come on, you can't read anything into the ratings. It was the return of ECW on TV, and they promoted Cena and Edge/Lita as being a part of the debut show. Just wait for the next show, and the one after that. I don't think there's a chance in hell that the rating stays at that point.

I was just about to post it also. :lol: Yes, the first show has clearly sent a very strong message indeed. And no, there is no more wondering what would happen if ECW returned, no more of that at all. There have already been reports that Heyman was mad backstage saying how much he thought the show sucked, and we know this is just a scripted comment on the web site, but still...it's just wrong.

Well, they went ahead and did that for the very first show.
