  1. Well I wont press the HHH issue other than say that I just don't get much of the hate. Years ago I complained just as much as the next guy, especially over that Jericho/Steph/HHH deal. At this time though, I think most are far too hard on him even after his doing some good. He has a place in WWE right now, and one of the main reasons that I say that is because HHH is one of the last remaining pieces of the old guard (Austin, Rocky, etc...). I still think that he has a few more title reigns in him, as well as more solid feuds with even more good matches. Not to mention that, like him or not, he is pretty much the top heel in the entire company, and many fans actually cheer for the guy. WWE would be foolish not to use him, including in the title hunt. He hasn't even been in the title hunt hardly for the past year, and he hasn't held a title in that entire year. It all comes down to the fact that if HHH didn't want to job to anyone, and if he didn't want to go without a title, he wouldn't have to, but he has allowed it to be. That's got to count for something, but like always, that might just be me.
  2. As also posted in the RAW thread:
  3. You had to know that I'd come through sooner than later though.
  4. I don't get why more of you can't give HHH a little more credit: -He's jobbed to three different guys (Benoit, Batista, Cena), for three straight WrestleManias. -All three of those jobs were clean. -Two of them had him tapping out. -All three of them were the main event on the show. -In two of them he wasn't just jobbing, but he was also jobbing the title to the other guy, the first wold title for either of the two guys he jobbed the title two (if you don't count Benoit's WCW title "win"). -In the cases of Benoit and Batista, he never went on to be the one to finally defeat them for the title, jobbing to each of them a few more times after the WM show. I know that he's not innocent of certain things, but few people that high up the card ever are.
  5. Total in-ring time, give or take: SmackDown! -47 minutes RAW -90 minutes
  6. Yeah, a whole one day longer.
  7. You never saw Waylon Mercy. Or heel Brian Pillman... Or the original Mankind gimmick...
  8. I personally think that looks awesome, but that just might be because I'm more used to stuff like that.
  9. The crowd was completely pro-Angle, Rey has been shoved down our throats with the Eddie stuff (which ironically enough, was toned down tonight, and Eddie was more of a focal part of the US Title match) and Rey, had been pushed as a baby lately. Really hurt his appeal for the fans. That's still not an excuse for what we heard tonight. I mean, it wasn't anything small, it was a huge negative reaction. It was like they just wanted to be assholes just to do something different. I don't blame them for booing people at times, like how they did with Rocky back in the day, Brock/Goldberg, and of course Cena. We all saw all of that coming clear as day, but no one could have predicted that most of the crowd would turn on Rey, on his big night. If ever there has been a true gay looking wrestling picture, that's the one. Unless the Angle/TBS .GIF I made a long time ago counts.
  10. I still can't believe the fans were booing Rey. Cena, I can understand, they've been booing him for ages. But booing Rey? I can't remember a single hint of that happening, ever. It's like the fans just decided to be dicks just to be dicks towards him for some reason.
  11. Wearing something like that in Mexico, fits because...well it's in Mexico. He just looks silly, a 5'5 guy wearing a feathered head-dress with a black leather mask will always look silly. It works in Mexico because it's part that culture, his culture. Tonight was his big night, for the first time he had a shot to win the world title, and he won it. It only made sense for this to be that one time where he comes out in full garb like that. It doesn't matter if people at home are in the know about it anyway, it was his moment, and he did it for himself and his culture. Not to mention that anyone who can't get the concept must be a fucking moron. Did any single one of you not instantly understand that he was doing that because of his culture? It was along the lines of what Joe did at that TNA show last year.
  12. Didn't Rey wear that exact same thing at that recent Mexico show? I can't believe some people would bitch about him wearing that, considering that type of thing is a part of that culture. It was his big night, so it made sense for him to wear it tonight, just like it made sense for him to wear it at the big Mexico show.
  13. For what it's worth, I thought HHH should've won. They want Cena to be a major player in WWE, and the way the are promoting him it is not going to work how they want. I do not believe that Cena will be the type of face they want any time soon. I don't think he'll be able to be the major type of face until he has been around for a very long time, like HHH. Cena is a natural heel. Any of you who have seen his old work knows exactly what I'm talking about. They should have had Cena lose to HHH tonight, and while HHH was celebrating they could have shown Cena in the corner crying while getting more and more upset, leading to him throwing a huge fit, but not attacking HHH. The next night on RAW they could have him play the full blown heel, or slowly let it evolve more and more over the next month. His next few could have been against a different face, while HHH moved on to defend against someone else, while still being a heel. I do think that Cena can be a major player, but it wont be as a face like they seem to want so badly. Let him loose as the natural heel asshole that he is, and the fans would go apeshit over people kicking his ass, and hating when he actually wins. The fans want to hate him, they love to hate him, now just let them do it fully. HHH could have defended against a few people between now and ONS, then on that PPV he could drop it to RVD, leading to Cena finally getting a shot at RVD later this year. The fans would be so behind RVD and against the heel Cena. Eh, it makes sense to me at least.
  14. I recommend it, and I haven't been able to do that for an entire PPV in quite a while.
  15. This tosses one fucking hell of a wrench into the rampant HHHate - HE PUT OVER BATISTA, AND STAYED OUT OF THE MAIN EVENT ALL OF THE PAST YEAR JUST TO BEAT CENA AT WM, REALLY!!!
  16. HHH with the DX sign himself.
  17. HHH just took Cena down with one of his stiffest clotheslines of all time. WOW.
  18. A group of women/kids try to get a chant going for Cena, but everyone else drowns them out.
  19. And then he'll challenge anybody from the back, Bret Hart will come out and beat him for the title. Edit: Or something that would make a TON more sense. RVD will cash his MITB tonight and beat Cena for the title. Make that, OMG, RVD.
  20. What are they saying now???
  21. Cena had a mob like hat and coat on. The fans are 100% behind HHH and against Cena now. This match can NOT end with Cena winning.
  22. FUCK YOU CENA chant
  23. The fans are totally destroying Cena with boos.
  24. This is a preview of WWE Films I suppose. Now Cena is shooting blanks.
  25. WWE has went fucking insane with Cena/HHH tonight Seriously
