WM10 at the top for me.. Bret/Owen is my favorite match ever. And the Ladder Match is always fun to watch, especially in contrast to today's matches. Bret winning the title still gives me chills, even if it was a dumb luck win. I'd put WM17 second. Save the TLC match and the Rock/Austin awesomeness, the rest of the card did nothing for me. I was pissed the Rock jobbed in the WM main event... for the third straight year in a row.

When did the world title last change hands

Edited for accuracy. Seriously. That would make 12. -
I did the same thing. I'm feeling the OUTRAGE~! in this thread.

Except for MVP Baseball. Shit on everything else if you want, just not MVP. I thought EA was shying away from the FPS Bond games and going with the new Third-person movies/games.

I heard that Hogan guy drew some pretty big coin in his day. True? Alright, what about HHH keeping the title at WM 2000 and the subsequent belt swapping with Rocky the next few months? What was up with that?
-
HHH has put on great WWE style matches. That's pretty much all I've seen from him. Ever. He's mastered it, to his credit, but Jericho (while uninspired and limited now) was just better in almost any formula/style match.

Amazon delayed my order. It was supposed to arrive today, but they're lazy fuckholes. I'm pumped for it. I love outtakes and demo shit. If it's anything like The Beatles Anthology, it'll be great. And you might even find an alternate version of a song that you find superior. For instance, I much prefer the acoustic version of 'Opinion' Kurt did on a local radio show, as opposed to the heavier studio version. And I found the Anthology version of "I'm looking through you" much more appealing than the cleaned up take on Rubber Soul. Is the DVD just the music videos or are there home videos of the band as well?

In 1992?

Actually no it was supposed to be Bret vs HBK rematch, with Bret going over. Can't remember where I read it but the HBK/Bret rematch was supposed to be at WM 13. Shawn bailed, the double turn happened instead and from that point, Bret vs. Austin was in the books for WM 14 where Austin could finally go over.

I thought it was that Bret was hurt AND that both had been in a brawl backstage weeks before. Or was that later? How long was the GTV angle going to play out before revealing who was behind it (assuming it Goldust)? What was the original plan for Flair before he had to drop the title to Bret in Saskatoon?
-
TSM should do a list like this... if only to hear other boards call us idiots and piss and moan about how a 10 year old song is ranked so high, or how there aren't any Swedish death metal bands on there. In fact, we should make a list for every forum on here: movies, songs, matches and deem them to be official. Just to piss people off.
-
Right, that was the assumption at the time. I just wanted to know if they were looking at a long fued to culminate at Mania for the title or if Austin was gonna drop the title to HHH in the summer.

Did Taker really have to physically threaten Shawn Michaels to job to Austin at WM 14? What was with HHH going over Booker at WM 19? What was the original plan for the Two Man Power Trip, before Hunter tore his quad?

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

Who was intended to be the famous "Hummer" driver? -
Get a Life, with Chris Elliot. House of Buggin'. That's all I got.

I'm next. Bring it.

Evolution would be ranked fairly high only because of HHH's political peak, Pimptista and because of the lack of any significant heel stable in the last few years, post-Corporation. They haven't done anyting meaningful or memorable. They may be involved in an angle that'll be remembered for years to come sometime down the road, but it hasn't happened yet.

5'3, 140 lbs. So close.

So when's that Bret Hart DVD coming out? Really looking forward to the RVD release. I've already made my feelings on the content/matches known in the other thread.

Mods: We're trying to outsource OAO Raw

White people are so overrated. -
HHH's hair is dreamy.

Whatever. I'm happy for Barry, but none of this shit has ever led to a ring. Note: At least this year's thread title didn't involve the word Melon head.

I'm just in shock over the Vizquel signing. I can understand 1 or 2 years at 3 million, but paying for his services beyond that is just... I don't know. And then when we don't make the play-offs again, our GM is just gonna throw his hands in the air and claim he had no payroll flexibility to work with. Stop overpaying palyers! We're still sitting on Edgardo Alfonzo's contract because of his total reliance on 'veteran' talent when we could've just played Pedro Feliz for peanuts.

All I'm saying is that I found his ECW work far more entertaining than what he's been doing the past 2 years.
-
There'd better be plenty more ECW material on there than the crap he's done with Vince. He's done nothing but work around the WWE style and the limitations made him an even more one-dimensional worker than he was before. At least in ECW his spot fests were fun to watch. Now he's gotta work with using his weak forearms and an array of spin-kicks.
