Al, you're a Phils fan. What did you think of Felix?

The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox
Big McLargeHuge replied to The Dames's topic in Sports
There's been mention of a "Curse of the Black Sox", but it hasn't really caught on. I have no clue what kind of "curse" can be given to the Indians. I guess something has to explain long championship droughts. Though, you never see Giants fans complaining about curses. We've just never had dominant teams. Good, yes. Dominant, never. -
So when do these name changes take place?

Agreed. It's just cheesy now. -

Have You Ever Gotten Tired of It All?

I'm at this point right now. I'm quitting my job and moving out of the country for a year at least. Don't know what I'm gonna do, and I don't care. I just want to get away. -
The Barbara Streisand Porno flick. I've seen a clip of it, and the girl does look alot like her.

Dodgers Lose! Dodgers Lose! Fuck Yeah!
-
Holy Shit! Holy Shit!

That's my point. The Dodgers showed they could hit the long ball as well as the Cards could, but they're looking almost reliant on it at this point.
-
Another awesome game for the Cards. Only Gagne can really save the Bums at this point. I'm surprised Milton Bradley's blow-up yesterday with an L.A. beat writer hasn't made a dent in this thread so far.

Change mine to Punch Rockgroin. Thanks.

Do the Twins ever walk? Or take more than a pitch in an at-bat?

I assumed it was either Yoda or Palpatine, but Episode 1 made it seem like Anakin had the potential to top both, with the prophecy crap. And did the whole "bringing balance to the force" thing just result in all the Jedi dying, except for Obi-Wan and Yoda? So that there were two Jedi and two Sith?

Another question on top of Lushus': Who is the most powerful of the Jedi/Sith?

The rally monkey wipes his ass with 5-0 leads. Especially with this Angels offense. Alright, check that last thought. There's no coming back from this.

Hey Cardinals! Try keeping them in the park! Time for the Dodgers miracle comeback...in 3 innings. But neither Shawn Chacon or the Giants bullpen is here to give them the lead.
-
Fuck yeah! Go Edgar! Two-run double.
-
How the hell do neither Jim Edmonds or Reggie Sanders get Renteria home from second with NO OUTS? Neither of them even advanced the runner.
-
Bah. I gave up on the season on Sunday at Pac Bell, when our bullpen forgot how to pitch. Since, that last Houston game, the Gents have regressed back to their April form. Not good. Now Dustan Mohr gets hurt, on a play he shouldn't have been making. Bonds looks like he's playing hurt, Schmidt can't a hold anyone under 3 runs anymore, a rookie is our best pitcher, and the bullpen, after certain pitchers complained of not enough playing time, can't get anyone out. It's over. They got hot at the wrong time. Now I gotta watch the As/Angels and Dodgers in the play-offs. Fuck!

Doesn't Luke tell Yoda in 'Jedi' that he's come back to complete his training? I thought that implied he hadn't returned since Empire. I'd like to see a definitive SW timeline, if there is one.
-
Question: How the hell does Luke become so advanced in the ways of force? Didn't he train with Yoda for like 2 days? Question 2: Wouldn't watching the movies in sequential order kill the shock value of "No! I am your father!"?

I thought it was always assumed that Padme was supposed to die. Isn't this event supposed to drive Anakin over the edge and into the darkside?
