Well, I read the spoilers and it doesn't sound too great. I was rooting for the other guy to win also. I'm still gonna see it though.

Jason didn't kill Bacon. His mom did.

I believe in an afterlife. There's gotta be more than this right? It's kinda sad if we just 'stop being'.

The One and Only Underappreciated Posters Thread

This thread sure is something. And not that's not an insult... Or is it? -
It's been wrong everytime I've done it. I'm supposed to add the two digits from the original number, right? (ex: If I chose 76, I would do 7+ 6 = 13) And then subtract 8 (which would be 5)? Is that right? Whatever. This shit's stupid.

Why? Just wondering.

I guess I was banned afterall. I was wondering why my custome title said "Fear the strut". That, or I don't remember changing it back.

IC title changes.

None of those matches break ****, so he's not worth my time. /smark mode Seriously, though. I like Booker, but then I don't really value one's workrate as highly as other smarks. After all, along with Hart, Savage and Flair, I marked for Sid. When HHH was this supposed workrate God in early 2000, I hated him. Benoit doesn't do anything for me personally, as well. It really does come down to personal preference. The few A-Train and HHH fans on the board, I think, have all taught us that.

I can't believe I missed this the first time around. This is Gold.

Point taken. HHH/Nash was a huge mistake. At least HHH could stay over with some degree of inertia as the champion, however, while Booker would need a hot program as the new champ. Sounds like HHH in 99. How many months did it take for him to finally get over as a monster heel?
-
I'm sure having Vince's permission to go over the entire roster and build whole programs around no one being in your league will do that to a guy.
-
Talking to the wrong guy, then. Workrate isn't the world to me. Booker entertains me (as HHH probably does you), and I'll admit he isn't a workrate God, but he's not as terrible as you say. Point is, he was over when he was challening for the title, and the company could've put him over the top with a little more thought and better execution. Why have HHH go over clean at WM (which is about the stupidest outcome imaginable)? I guess both our biases aren't doing us any favors in this argument.

I see where you're coming from. But that's pretty much everyone on the RAW roster at this point. Intros/catchphrases/Big moves/high spots get the pops, and the transitions/brawling/mat work are met with silence. Unless you outright promote a great match in advance(Jericho/Shawn) or have a hot crowd (Any city in Canada), that's how people are gonna react the majority of the time. Are HHH's spinebuster and Sleeper getting pops that I'm missing or something?
-
Because thanks to HHH, they know Booker isn't going anywhere. Same with RVD. RVD used to get much bigger reactions. Make him HHH's bitch, keep him off a few PPVs.... now the fans have been trained to know that RVD isn't going anywhere, so it's harder to get enthused about his matches. Bullshit. Bullshit, bullshit, BULLSHIT. You're going to blame Booker T's complete lack of overness on one loss to Triple H? The reason they don't get excited is because he wrestles WCW style throughout the match, (stall, hit move, stall, stall, stall some more, fall down), before hitting his signature moves at the end. So now Booker T isn't over? When did this happen? Are we talking about the guy who popped the crowd HUGE when he won the IC title? So what's over? Is being over getting huge monster pops? Is anyone on RAW getting that kind of reaction?
-
I could ask you the same question about Triple H. HHH had a very good story match with Flair, a *** match with RVD that could have been really good if RVD had any idea how to sell a leg injury, he miraculously dragged a pretty decent effort out of Nash, and he is still the last person in the WWE to have a ***** match. (Summerslam last year) Besides that, he has acting ability, and can cut a real promo that's not completely reliant on catchphrases. Booker T has boring, slow, pointless matches every night. Do you think Booker T even knows what ring psychology is? The thing is, Vince doesn't use match quality as any sort of criteria for giving guys title reigns. I'm pretty sure someone being over than is the basis by which Vince hands out pushes. Booker was over huge last year and going into his title program. RVD? you betcha. But it's always been that way. Benoit got a standing O at the Rumble, but the company failed to capatilize. Why? Justify that Vince! Do it!
-
Let's face it. Any and every challenger to HHH gets no build-up whatsoever when facing him. They take some mid-carder who's over and shove him into a month long program with HHH. The outcome? HHH wins. Not because he's good. Not because he's a darw. It's almost as if they're just sitting around WAITING for someone to draw uber-pops week in and week out instead of actually pushing guys and building them up to the eventual big PPV title win. And when that someone does come around, they have to meet certain requirements (must be home grown talent) in order to recieve any sort of push. This near year long title reign has been nothing but HHH telling his opponents that they aren't "in his league". And he proves it. Week in and out... because the company doesn't have the balls or brain matter to give a serious push to anyone.
-
Yeah, HHH is God. Even though it's Kane who's drawing in big numbers. But I see your point.

Maybe if we all started hating Jericho with a passion and constantly bitched about his sub-par workrate and politicing, Vince would consider putting the title on him and giving him an extended push. Seems to work for Hunter.
