Speaking of playground wrasslin', we had Backstop Matches in our little imaginary wrestling feds. I brought one of the toy foam belts to school, and my friend and I decided to have a match for it. The "match" made it's way to the baseball backstops, someone tossed the belt up there, and the rules were made up on the spot. It was fun fighting on top of it, and dangling from the open side. Wasn't fun cutting up my elbows and forearms on the chain links after a backdrop while were on top.

Nothing, in particular really. I don't expect my team to contend, but I know a media circus will follow them around endlessly thanks to our left fielder. I'm just really glad baseball's back.

Thomas Haden Church cast as villain for Spider-Man

Looks like the head of bird attached to a body. I hope that isn't actually considered for either Venom or Lizard. -
I was about to comment on this. Really bums me out, as I haven't been to PPV here in NorCal since the 98 Rumble. I missed out on both SummerSlam 01 and No Way Out 04, and have regretted it since.

I voted Cena. I don't hate HHH, but am just plain sick and tired of him. I'm tired of everyone having to put him over. I just don't understand how he's been 'at the top' this long. I mean, I can. I just don't like it. Cena doesn't bother me in the least. A heel turn that really lets him loose is what he needs to pump some life back into this character. It worked for the Rock. The fans turned on the Rock for many of the same reasons as they did Cena, and not just once. He'll be fine if they give him his edge back. I understand Vince wants him as the face of the company, but turning him into a generic babyface for the sake of making him more appealing is what's really holding Cena back.

Rock vs. Brock - SummerSlam 2002 Man, is the Rock the biggest company man ever, or what? Match was alright, but both guys looked they were moving at half their normal pace. The People's Elbow spot was great. Would've been even better had Brock just F5'd him right there. And I still can't believe the crowd turned on the Rock like that. What the fuck is with New York and turning on babyfaces?

But Orton's got "the look". And he can do a dropkick. And he's cocky and arrogant. He's the future. Am I right?

So, what's the logic in burying Rey, who is a ratings draw, and pushing the heatless wonder? Vince has gone batshit crazy. Just another reason to miss Smackdown.

My favorite player ever. I'll be sad to see him go, especially without a ring, as there's no chance of it happening this year.

Have either Puma Man or the Giant Spider Invasion been released on DVD yet? I've seen Puma Man once, and really on remember the awkward looking flying sequences. I taped over my copy of Spider Invasion. -
I like those endings, in certain situations. In the context of SS '92, it made sense. Both guys hit their finishers and they didn't work. Today, they'd just trade finishers for 5 minutes and end it, which I hate. The ending made me appreciate the match alot more because it was creative. Neither guy would die so each had to look for the tiniest opportunity to put the match away, and Bulldog took it. They didn't put it over that way, but they could've. The finish to the IYH match, on the other hand, was completely out of nowhere. Didn't really work for me.

54. He makes me wish HHH was champ. I don't like that. 55. Vince is as determined to make him the top guy as he was with HHH. Which isn't Cena's fault really, but we'll just pretend it is.

Gotta agree. I know the net loves her, but I simply can't stand Chloe at this point. Lana's even worse at this point. If I have to sit through another season of Lana and Clark ending every episode with them awkwardly discussing honesty, love, and people they can trust, I'll quit the show forever. Ok, Not really, but I'll come on the net and complain about it. Where the hell is Lois? I'd much rather watch her in slinky bikini or trading verbal jabs with Clark. Or both. At the same time.

Isn't the mom the doctor in that riddle?

What's this zone swinging? I'm assuming classic is just hitting a button while tilting the left analog stick. Is the right thumbstick still used to dive and lunge for balls or did they do away with that because of the new throwing mechanic?

Late '98, Shawn superkicked Vince back when he was Commissioner. That's all I got.
-
I guess we'll never know what Vince thinks of Bret's DVD.
-
Vince/Shawn at Mania, with Bret running in and destroying everyone in the ring with a chair. Won't happen, but would be cool.

It's Shawn vs. Sid all over again. Men and Women split.
