I gotta give HHH props for sure like some here. He really didnt make Orton look too bad in the first match, and put him over rather strong in the main event. I am hoping, but not expecting them, to just drop any possible Orton-HHH rematch at all as I wouldnt mind Orton as champ for a bit, and then transitioning it over to a face Jericho down the road here.

Overall not a bad show, but I dont know the explanation why whoever is the person being noted in the save_us promos didnt show up here in some capacity. Just an idea by WWE to add the ppv date in those clips to tease whoever might debut here? I thought both HHH/Orton matches were certainly good (1st one) to great (LMS at a solid ****) and the rest of the show was hit and miss. Punjabi was better than I expected, six man was fun, ECW match was a complete waste of time and still would have much seen Dreamer/Punk in even a 10 minute match, HHH/Umaga was rather standard, womens match was passable, Finlay/Rey was good but I would have liked to see the match actually continue upon Finlay staging the injury.

Few random notes from the world of TNA Mobile in the last 24 hours.... Ultimate X will open the BFG ppv TNA will be doing a tour of Canada by years end TNA Board Game in development (not sure why they even think THAT is news really) Kid Kash was in the offices recently but isnt expected to be brought back (could be a swerve and he's actually coming back if they are openly talking about him like that) They are in negotiations with a former WWE IC and European Champion but dont say who it is - not sure who this could be, but D-Lo Brown could be a possibility.

Just judging by the preview for the WWE title match at the WWE website, one could assume Orton v. Hardy v. Kennedy. Who knows though. I still am holding hope for Jericho v. Orton, though. A little bummed the tag title match isnt on the ppv. I thought that was an intriuging match for sure. But oh well, at least it will make me watch Smackdown next week.

Courtesy PWI.... Nutter Center Wright State University Dayton, OH WWE taped Smackdown before ECW tonight. Through the hard shot, the place is basically full. Camera side is almost entirely tarped off. This arena only has the one level, no upper bowl. Attendance similar to their last TV here though. Dark Match: Major Brothers over Paul Burchill & William Regal Smackdown: Out come JBL & Michael Cole. Batista comes out. He blabs and says nothing significant. Khali interrupts from the back. Again, nothing significant. Batista you don't know what it's like to be with a caged animal. Chuck Palumbo, with Michelle McCool, over Ace Steel The match was very short. Immediately after the pin, Chris Masters comes in and puts Chuck in the Master Lock. He passes out and Masters breaks it. PPV Filler anyone? (Ace just made it to TV in OVW and already he's a Smackdown jobber. Hopefully this doesn't mean doom for his WWE career.) Jamie Noble over Jimmy Wang Yang. Floor producer came around and handed out revised run sheets at this point. Matt Hardy & MVP come out. They have some sort of push up contest and MVP wins. I went to the bathroom. Tag Team Championship: Matt Hardy & MVP over Deuce & Domino, with Cherry. Kane over Kenny Dykstra, with Victoria. In the back, MVP tried to turn the tables on Matt by asking Vickie Guerrero to make a match between Matt and Kane's brother, Undertaker. Instead she said Kane & Undertaker would take on Matt Hardy & MVP at the ppv. Jesse & Festus over Chad Collyer & Mike Tolar. Apparently their theme song is called Biscuits & Gravy. Rey Mysterio over Great Khali via DQ. Finlay interfered. Batista ran in for the save. Two PPV match hypes for the price of one! After that, they changed the set for ECW, even though they just announced tonight's main event as Undertaker v. Mark Henry. I guess it will be a dark match. There was a dark match between Smackdown & ECW. Funaki beat Mike Kruel. -----Only thing notable is Kane/Taker v. Hardy/MVP at the ppv added, which is pretty out of the blue to say the least. That pretty much puts Taker on the outs as taking on Orton at the ppv. They might do Masters v. Palumbo at the ppv also, which would suck da fat one.

I should rephrase my post to be fair..... Does WWE really think anyone is 1) going to pay tickets to see Lilian sing at a show they are paying $$$ to see wrestling and/or characters 2) going to tune in to each show, or keep tuned in, when she comes on and starts singing? I'm fine with them doing commercials about her CD and plugs and all of that, but a live performance on one of the shows, much less two, is fucking ridiculous. I am looking forward to the fan reaction, though. It may be uber-brutal.

--Lilian Garcia and her band will be performing on both Raw and Smackdown this coming week. I understand WWE wants to market her out to the masses, but do they really think WWE fans will actually buy her shit? Well maybe some kids and little girls, I guess. This seems like a complete waste of airtime to me though, to say the least.

I really have liked Top Chef since its first show of the first season. But yeah, this season shocked me in how well done it was. I love the heavily produced judge's table endings in each episode, chuck-full of cheesy sound effects when the judges yay or nay each chef's work. But yeah, Hung totally deserved this - at first during the season he seemed a little cocky and people were a little annoyed by him, but he proved himself and did it. He played the game just about perfect. Since Top Chef started three seasons, Hell's Kitchen just seems completely second rate to it. Speaking of Gordon Ramsey, I have yet to check out Kitchen Nightmares on FOX, but caught many an episode on BBC and if they keep to the formula of that, I will probably really be into it. Ramsey is much more down to earth and "real" in this setting versus the cheesy Hell's Kitchen show. It's funny though - other than Top Chef and when they had Project Greenlight (covering the start to finish process of Feast) on, I can't stand the Bravo channel at all. Bravo generally is annoying pop culture shit at it's very worst.

I might have to get that - is it much different than the original? Just got done watching the director's cut of 1408 - some relatively major stuff changed in the film, moreless more backstory added with the main character and past family issues, and the ending is completely different than the original. Not as well paced as the theatrical version, but yet what is all added makes it just as interesting. Was a scene where a dead corpse is chasing Enslin around in the airducts in the theatrical version? I can't recall but that was one pretty decent scene that I believe was added here to this version.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)
RedJed replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in The WWE Folder
If he could come back in 6 months, couldn't he make it back to Mania literally just in time? -
Its one thing to do remakes for older films and franchises, but to do a TV series remake of a previous TV series from only 9 years ago in 1998, a series that, quite frankly, I never watched, nor barely have even heard of? Thats just borderline bizzare to say the least.

I think Michael will want to bust Whistler out more upon finding out if Sarah is dead/killed by the company, or moreless he would want to bust out WITH him to get revenge. Plus, gotta consider even if that isnt the case, LJ is Michael's family, too, so he would still be honorable to him and to Lincoln and try to bust Whistler out regardless. It's a family thing, dammit!

Its a shame that nobody has posted on this here.....I'm actually surprised.... I hadnt seen a ROH show in a few years and threw down $9.95 the other night on this. Guaranteed best $10 I've spent on wrestling EVER. Top to bottom, this show doesnt stop being solid. The opener is a wild scramble six man that has some insane near falls and high spots. Match to match, it flows well and I really can't say hardly anything bad about this show, with the exception of a short Jimmy Rave-Morshima (I may have fucked up his name, my bad) world title match. For those who havent seen much of ROH, this is your perfect springboard. And for those who follow the product, I don't need to say anymore. Danielson/McGuiness is one of the better ROH matches I've EVER seen, period. You're doing yourself an injustice as a wrestling fan by NOT throwing down ten measly bucks on this show, no lie.

I think with everything going on between SWC and the show is the reason why ratings are down she is/was a popular character and if her head is in the box I think that is what is going to kill this show.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)
RedJed replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in The WWE Folder
All of the suggested makes no sense. Orton has no beef with Batista or Khali. Plus do HIAC with four guys that, again, have not even been feuding with each other?!! -
No movement of what they are doing with the CW title also, which probably means it is going to be dropped as rumored.
-
Thats whats the telling point of the show, really. They could always do a segment they throw in there w/ Vince mentioning what will happen, though, I suppose. Chances are its just going to be Orton v. a mystery opponent at the ppv, which is the best way to go anyway. But they should emphasize that is what is going to happen versus being so vague about the situation.

ECW 10.2.07 (Vince McMahon McMahon to make WWE Title announcment)
RedJed replied to Hawk 34's topic in The WWE Folder
Agreed. This is the farthest nostalgic nod to the original ECW that I really want to see. Would have been nice to see Dreamer just get a brief nod as a contender to a title on a ppv. Its not much to ask. -
Could have something to do with losing their main guy who did that stuff, who now is with TNA (Dave Sahadi or something is his name)

During the No Mercy rundown tonight, I dont think HHH/Umaga was even mentioned - take that as you will (relating to the possibility of Orton/Umaga/HHH at the ppv). -
He makes complete sense, and I would love to see not just Heyman, Cornette, and Russo trying to write these shows together, but an on air feud between the three as commissioner or something.

No. It's classic Dusty. Ok so they're both just as guilty.....all teh same, its bullshit. Would much have preferred a three way at the ppv. Good way to push your talent and then demean them in the process. A nice solid three week build to Dreamer getting the nod, then this. Bullshit! You do realize that Big Daddy has been getting a push for the last month. This was pretty telegraphed from the start. What they did just now was totally illogical. Yes they've been building him up, but this happening tonight wasn't a set in stone obvious outcome. I figured they'd have the winner tonight really go to face CM Punk at the PPV, and either during that match or right after it, or maybe hold off until the following TV show later the same week, they'd have BDV come out then to officially start his title feud. What we saw tonight was a complete and total waste of the past month. Agreed -

You do realize that Big Daddy has been getting a push for the last month. This was pretty telegraphed from the start. Sure, he's been getting pushed, but it could have just as easy been as the next challenger after Dreamer. I knew damn well Dreamer wasnt going to go over Punk at the ppv, but it would have been probably a good match. BDV could have then been booked to take on Punk at the next ppv. The booking of it all just left me with a really bad distain for, well, the booking. Get back in your place, Dreamer, apparently. -
