  1. Just a note on the spoilers from wo.com.... --For those who read the Smackdown spoilers from last night, the mystery woman was Krissy Vaine, who had been in the Florida territory. She's a pretty good looking girl and can work decent, to boot. Welcome addition. Overall, the spoilers sound about back to normal after a push last week - its now back to basic and boring sounding. Rey-JBL though....interested where they are going with that.
  2. The show doesnt sound really awful to me, but underwhelming and far from the "bang" that the first two hour show should be? Hell fucking yes.
  3. Saw Resident Evil and I liked it. Definately set up for another one here. Only complaints was that the open timeline from part 2 to part 3 wasnt dealt with as well as I would have liked, just saying Alice took off away from everyone after the end of part 2. Where the fuck is Jill Valentine though? Curious if they will have Ali Larter and the others who made it through the film in part 4 at all, I would assume so. Also, they showed a trailer for Iron Man during the film and hot damn, does that look tremendous.
  4. I figured for sure the Long/Kristal storyline was going to be that she slipped him something that made him collapse before they marry. In fact they arent actually married yet, right? The storyline actually has some layers as Kristal was shown a few weeks ago getting a call from her "mom" and leaving suddenly, and then Teddy saying "boy she sure talks to her mom alot" saying somewhat that she has another man on the side, that might show up with her down the road, all was a ploy to get $$$ from Long or something. Whatever the case, that segment was entertaining as hell and actually the whole show was pretty good overall this week.
  5. Monster Balls match update.... Current lineup, according to this weeks WON, is Mesias v. Rhino v. Abyss v. Raven.
  6. Yeah, I really like Sting. He gets a lot of message board hate (though it's more DVDVR than here), but he does what other veterans *cough*Kurt Angle*cough* won't and use his status to elevate others. To his credit, it was Angle's idea to give Lethal the rub at the last ppv (the original finish was that Lethal wins via screwjob), and the bookers fucked that one up with having Lethal getting tossed out like a jobber by Samoa Joe just an hour later on the show. Also, regarding Sting, I feel the same way as Corey, he is an established "top guy" and deserves to be treated as such. If he helps talent get over, thats even better - in fact, thats pretty much a model company employee if you ask me.
  7. That would be the most ideal scenario to me as well. Sting beats Angle, then we get perhaps a three way match of Joe/Sting/Angle at, say, the Nov. ppv, and then Joe/Sting at the December or January ppv.
  8. I'm about as fareweather fan of ROH as you can find - the last full show I saw was Joe/Kobashi and I've always heard the shows from then til now were exceedingly good, such as the CZW/ROH stuff, etc (caught a pretty good part of most ROH before Joe/Kobashi, which isnt saying that was bad either). But just couldnt keep up with the shows. With that said, I just watched that angle they did in Chicago and WOW - I think this might be a real turning point for them, thats a hot storyline that really peaks my interest, more than anything ROH has done, so I'm going to start keeping up with the product again. Did the first ppv get released on DVD yet? I didnt even get to catch that yet, but want to see that and get the upcoming one, and then keep going from there with getting back into ROH.
  9. Thats what made me fucking laugh my ass off - where the fuck were they anyway and how the fuck is our hero supposed to get out of this afterworld? Forster was morphin like a mofo - everytime it happened it caught me. But yah his storytelling was equally hilarious. What got me was in between this really cheesy plot and acting, the special effects were pretty good - some of the battle scenes with the army of whateverthefucktheyallwere was pretty solid. Oh yeah, and I was the only person in this whole theater, which gave me free reign to geek the fuck out the whole time.
  10. I got stoned off my gourd today and went to Dragon Wars. By god, I dont think I've had that much fun at a movie since Snakes on a Plane. Over the top effects (actually pretty well done) and one of the most craptasticly acted films I've seen in quite some time. But it all so over the top and ridiculous, I loved every minute of it. I ended up histerically laughing at the end even though I dont think that was the intention.
  11. So any ideas what the stuff on the paper is all about? Yet another puzzle to figure out as the season progresses. Really good show last night.
  12. Just got a text that the other five ladies in the TNA women's title match is, and assumed most will be signed for beyond the ppv: Shelley Martinez (hopefully they signed her fulltime, she would be a great addition, as Mesias' chick or something) ODB (from OVW, right? Never seen her yet) Angel Williams (was one of the chicks WWE had in Deep Valley for awhile and also has valeted before) Talia Madison (chick Ive seen in WEW, pretty good lookin, ok worker) Amazing Kong (has experience overseas, was just in ROH last week, will make a good monster woman heel)
  13. Maybe this happened during the overseas trip when we went crazy in the hotel room? Just speculating.... This guy isnt the same Muschnick we all know from prior anti-WWE tirades. He makes a good point about Orton's suspensions. Because he may have tried to kill himself, he's getting treated a bit differently than most in the wake of all of the shit hitting the fan.
  14. More than likely, since Cyber Sunday is supposed to have Cena/Orton HIAC, I believe. So for those who saw this tonight, is it the worst ppv of the year as Meltzer was saying? I didnt even bother ordering.
  15. He got suspended for failing a test that wasnt at the same time he was found to have recieved packages of roids from the internet company, so it should mean he does an extra 30 days for sure. They are two seperate incidents.
  16. Booker failed a test around the time they wrote him off TV, which was supposed to be for an injury, which I think it turned out to be, but it was apparently a nagging injury that he just decided to take care of at the same time he was to be suspended. So with this shit with recieving packages of roids, thats two strikes and 60 days.
  17. I agree - they shouldnt be in the reverse battle royale, thats a waste of their talents. They still might add them to Ultimate X, there is a good month of build for the ppv, and a few two hour shows on 10/4 and 10/11 to build the ppv as well.
  18. So are any organizations having seperate shows themselves on this weekend or are they part of the whole wrestling show that Sat? I have noticed Dale Gagne's AWA is promoting an 11am Sat show themselves... If you havent already, you should do a post on this show in the "other" federations area....sounds pretty wild, they are even saying Steve Austin is going to be there I see. And if they do get ppv clearance, I'll definately be ordering this.
  19. Just to follow up on this, from what was announced on Impact and on the TNA website, the official lineup, so far. TNA World Title Match Kurt Angle vs. Sting TNA X Division Title Match Jay Lethal vs. Christopher Daniels TNA Tag Team Title Match Team Pacman vs. AJ Styles & Tomko Ultimate X Match LAX vs. Triple X (Senshi/Skipper) There Must Be A Winner Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage Special Enforcer: Matt Morgan Tables Match Steiner Brothers vs. Team 3D Knockouts Gauntlet Match To determine a TNA Women’s World Champion - Christy Hemme, Gail Kim, Ms. Brooks, Jackie Moore, Roxxy Laveaux and five other women they will be signing for this event Fight For The Right Match 15 man reverse battle royale - last 4 in the match work an elimination match for a world title shot down the road ------ Monsters Ball will be also happening but is yet not announced, which I will bet is Mesias v. Rhino v. Abyss I really hope they throw in Harris v. Storm as well in some sort of last match ever between those two All in all, the card looks quite alright to me and I have warmed up alot to Sting/Angle after watching Impact - however, and this probably little to no chance of this happening, I would love to see Christian/Joe turn into a match that will give the winner an immediate slot into the title match. But I truly think (and watch TNA let me down on this again) that Joe will go over one way or another against Christian and then the build will be on for a one on one Joe/Sting title match down the road.
  20. How is ROH expecting to get a decent gate for a show at the Cow Palace?! Thats got to be one of the largest venues, by far, that they have tried.
  21. Asctetically (sp?) I would say this year was one of the worst. Just some horrible PR to say the least. Lots of injuries left and right, and unhappy campers within the company. Internally, you have to go with 93 or 94, as their numbers dropped considerably IIRC. 96 into 97, they were hurting tons but was it a slow progressive form from back in 93/94 or not? From a booking perspective, I thought mid 01 into pretty much all of 02 was the drizzling shits.
  22. The themes are WAY WAY WAY better than they were back in 02/03 - I know that much.
  23. Oh man, I could go on and on with this topic - just a few really annoying examples of things that piss me off when I'm at a movie theater.... -Fucking stinky assholes putting their feet up on the seats literally right next to me, I've even had idiots put their feet up on my armrest, literally right next to my arm/elbow. I understand some seats are not very comfortable, but if someone is close to you, use a little common sense! -The whole cell phone thing, you would be surprised how many people still have their cell ringers on and actually still answer the phone. At least turn the phone on vibrate....its one thing to reply to a text message in a theatre, its another thing to fuckin answer your phone. -I dont mind people having a little discussion during a film, but if they are having ongoing conversations, and/or cracking endless jokes within a group, etc, then its gets old. Its especially prevelant when you are in a movie that is jam-packed with people. In those situations I always seem to be right in front of a group who just wont shut the fuck up. What bugs me more particularly is when some idiots have to repeat jokes in a film right after it's said. I had to deal with this throughout the whole damn Simpsons movie. -Babies (kids under a few years old) at ANY movie. Get a fucking babysitter, people. I would think babies dont take well do loud theatres. It aint rocket science. -Young children who can't sit still at films that are clearly not meant for them to be seen. Its fine if they are brought to kids films, as those films are geared towards them, and if they are loud, etc, it just is what it is and I would still expect parents to act accordingly, but I have no remorse for shit when parents bring their young kids to adult movies, such as horror, etc. When I went to the TCM remake years ago, some idiot family brought three kids with - two of them looked 3-4 years old and then a baby not more than 6 months old. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm sure I'll have more later but thats it for now.
  24. I havent followed Belucci much, but does she normally have such a bad time speaking english, or moreless when she speaks, not sounding like she's reading from cue cards? The flow of her lines was just god awful.
  25. I saw this yesterday at a matinee, and WOW - what a fun movie to check out. Great (completely over the top hard to believe but that was the point) action scenes, quirky dialogue, and an outrageous storyline. Its not a movie to break down and point out the"oh this was so far fetched" parts to it, as going in, it was clear this was going to be as over the top and out there as you can get. I really get a kick out of movies like this, that are almost parodys, but yet aren't. Pure entertainment here. Unless you are into serious and easy to relate to films, I'd say definately check this out. The ending kill of the main villian was over the top TO THE MAX. Got a lot of laughs from this film, as well as impressed by the action/kills sequences, even if they were totally out there. Oh and Clive Owen was apparently eating carrots the whole time for good hand/eye coordination.....as a follow up to Deuchebag's post.
