  1. I honestly think this Mickey Rourke thing is totally a work and he's already penciled in to be working at Mania, they just had to work the media in typical carny wrestling fashion for the time being to play it safe til the Oscars are done. And I fully expect Piper and Flair to manage Rourke. Wouldn't be shocked to see them at least try and get Hogan to do something involved with this match as well as a manager too. Having Hogan, Piper, and Flair all in there with Rourke would be big starpower, no doubt.
  2. Thank god they are killing off Magnus already, it appears. They must have listened to that Fire Russo chant after all, the right way. The guy is green as all hell and quite honesty, can't talk very well either. It's like he's trying to act like Kozlov, only as a Brit.....all around bad gimmick there, and then when the guy is shits in the ring and really isn't that good on the mic, there's going to be problems. So this empty arena match is when exactly? Is that the main event of the next ppv?
  3. I would be willing to bet Petey actually asked for his release. He's just totally lost in the shuffle there. As for Hoyt, I'm sure he's been seeing the light on touring overseas more than anything, and finally is probably going to do more work over there.
  4. The only real positive I can think from this show (which came across as a bad version of a Clash of the Champions special) is that they are appearing to possibly load up the next ppv with Joe/Steiner (or Nash), Styles/Booker, Ultimate X (I'm guessing), and probably Sting/Angle, which is a way better lineup than this shit was. Seeds also seem to be planted for Foley/Sting, which I am betting will be booked upcoming hopefully down the road. Other than that, I'm at a loss. Nothing really memorable for matches at all, no significant storyline shifts or movements, etc. Like someone said, this just came across as the equivalent of safe but lazy booking 101 tonight. But I expected that given that the lineup itself and the build to this show was so weak that it never had any potential in the first place.
  5. Pointless match, nothing great there at all. It's official....I just wasted three hours of my life.
  6. Did Angle get busted open from basically accidentally headbutting Sting there?
  7. I was thinking the same thing. The first five minutes of this match was some of the most mundane "main event" action I've seen in a good while. WTF was that weak shit in the crowd by Buh Buh and Sting?
  8. I still can't believe this match is the main event of a fucking ppv. Makes me remember when WCW did a Sting/Luger/Booker T/Stevie Ray match on a ppv, only thing was that it wasn't the main event, nor was it for a title.
  9. IWGP tag titles from New Japan.
  10. This match better be some sort of amazing thing, otherwise this ppv was a complete waste of time, even getting it free. They really need, in the least, a significant turn or something decent in terms of an angle to end the show. The match itself, I have little hope for. The Dudleys in this match are just going to weigh the potential of it down.
  11. Nope, they did ODB and Kong already, it was short and shitty.
  12. I don't know if thats saying much though, unfortunately. Only that match and the opener were anywhere close to even passable to me. But still, not really ppv calibur stuff......Beer Money has had many other matches way way better than that.
  13. This has been one of the worst TNA ppvs easily in a long time. Morgan/Abyss wasn't even that good, Morgan seemed to be backing off alot on the spots because of his injury. Not that I blame him, but they could have booked that better to protect the guy with alot of more brawling and weapons than they did. So far this tag match isn't doing anything for me either.
  14. Nice promo by Morgan. By the way, my free feed was going in and out during the Styles promo, but somehow still getting it through the close call there.
  15. The last three matches have been just absolute shit, in most cases quick enough, but still shit. The Styles run-in was finally something noteworthy, and looks like they will start going with Booker/Styles, which has potential.
  16. Probably just because a really basic match like this shouldn't even have been booked on the ppv. The problem with "Fire Russo" having become the TNA fans all purpose chant for something they don't like, is that TNA management, instead of taking on board that the fans aren't liking what's going on and correcting it, instead dismiss them as idiots for not knowing Russo didn't have anything to do with the segment at hand and accordingly dismiss their dislike as the reaction of people who don't know what they're talking about. While the chant was funny at first, now it just enables TNA to dismiss a negative reaction to something they do and convince themselves a bomb of a segment was really a success. Back when this first started happening with the chants, that definately was the case, but that was a good while ago.....I'd like to think by now, the company gets it more when the Fire Russo chant happens. It's clearly directed to make a point that they aren't liking what they are seeing, just the same thing as a boring chant or bullshit chant or whatnot.
  17. They signed him onto a number of dates way back when he was a part of the X Cup stuff, but for some reason, they are letting him sit. Probably just something related to his already booked schedule and in due time, he'll be in for spots.
  18. Yeah, I don't get why he's not in yet, and honestly Williams should be doing this guy's gimmick instead. This Magnus guy is not very good at all. Actually, no one should be doing this guys gimmick. I just meant in terms of the trademark British heel to have on the roster, not necessarily the stupid Gladiator get-up.
  19. Yeah, I don't get why he's not in yet, and honestly Williams should be doing this guy's gimmick instead. This Magnus guy is not very good at all.
  20. And as soon as I say that, it starts to pick up. Magnus' offense is really weak for the most part.
  21. Probably just because a really basic match like this shouldn't even have been booked on the ppv.
  22. Ugh, this match is horrible.
  23. Sabin and not Rhino huh?
  24. This guy has Wrestlecrap potential for sure.
  25. Exactly, hence why Petey wasn't really "fucked over" or anything like that.
