  1. Did the ref bumps benefit Jarrett or Christian? Like, did Christian survive tons of Jarrett cheating to win the belt? If he did, then they actually managed to play the "Against all odds" name into the title match. Which I like. Make the name mean some shit. Plus to me, that's a perfectly clean finish. The days of one on one, no interference, no ref bumps and clean 1-2-3 are over in the major promotions. The ref bumps were benefiting the Christian chase, playing into the "against all odds" deal even more since he had Jarrett beat at least twice for a good ten count once even. So it was basically just about as clean as it goes with Jarrett world title matches. Much cleaner than when he jobbed out the title to Styles last May. Also forgot to mention the visual at the end of the ppv worked very well and pimping that out on TV in TNA commercials might not be a bad idea with Christian in the ring with the crowd.
  2. I think it's gotta be a guarantee of a rematch either at the next ppv, the first Impact on Thurs nite (which they are trying to get two hours for), or at latest Lockdown. I have some weird fear that Larry is going to maybe give Jarrett another title shot or at worst they even give Jarrett the title back on Impact this week, with Larry saying Slick Johnson was about to DQ him and technically since he was trying to DQ him, Jarrett would retain the title. I totally hope I'm wrong there though but its weird how they had done a segment in the back with Larry, Hebner, and Slick Johnson earlier in the ppv. I hope TNA isnt going down a stupid road and having Johnson being Jarrett's secret "evil" rep that helps him out of situations when shit goes down.
  3. PPV was well worth the purchase, TNA did the right thing in the main event in not overdoing the Montreal crap and going to a credible clean finish to put over Christian strong. Thought the three way was great, but not as good as the first one just because of the finish coming out of nowhere. Rest of the show was acceptable, and that was a damn fine bump by Abyss there. Visually the angles they had filmed that bump, it looked impressive. I'll be interested to see where they go with Christian now. I thought, for sure, we'd see run-ins from Brown, Sting, etc, but I think it was for the best as they can do some of that stuff next ppv with a likely Jarrett/Christian rematch.
  4. Damn Dutt and Harris really fucked up that reversal of the catatonic, but back to some good near falls here to finish the match at least.
  5. I think its still supposed to happen at some point, but maybe he just isnt scheduled to show up for awhile still. I wouldnt be surprised to see him replace this Machete guy as he's really nothing impressive at all.
  6. Thank you Homicide!
  7. God damn if Paco and Konnan didnt have so much heat still, you could have Perro Jr. in that slot given to this Machete guy.
  8. Uh ohh Apolo isnt there. Lo-Ki is supposed to be brought in to tag with Homicide too apparently. Who is this new other guy now?
  9. Yup, that about sums it up, I agree. Maybe they'll cut Bentley or else bring in Kazarian at least to do tags with him.
  10. Ok match, good to see them push "Lethal Weapon"
  11. Really shocked they havent brought back in Kazarian at all since he left WWE. Bentley is boring otherwise.
  12. A Shelley-Raven feud would make sense whenever he comes back. Probably tieing it into the video he took of Jackie too.
  13. They really need to get rid of Zbysko, STAT.
  14. Borash sounded like he was talking in a tin can there... Man, Dutt better not slow down this match like the Impact match last night. He looked like shit there and once Sabin got injured it really went to shit fast.
  15. Shit, the finish came out of nowhere. Kind of surprised to see the Naturals going over though. And dont agree with it.
  16. Damn this is a sick opener! All solid stuff here with Stong really picking it up after blowing an irish whip spot.
  17. Nice shooting star on the outside by Stevens there
  18. Nope, it was all just an Impact redux with the show that Sting did his promo on this past weekend.
  19. Looks like they finally got rid of Borash as ring announcer and they brought back Dave Penzer from the WCW days. Regarding the Strong/Aries deal, I dont see them being in trouble about working the ROH show, as long as they made it to tonight's ppv.
  20. I still cant get over how they spliced a crowd going apeshit during the replay of Cena-Edge at the Rumble after Cena pinned him. And yet they have faith in him? Its more like Steph is running the Cena show and can't accept it, because of you know who.
  21. HA! Now that was quite the spot outside the right there. Poor midgey dude....
  22. Yeah he's certainly not a midget or "junior" or whatever this whole concept is. Although neither is Super Porky so maybe the idea is just to have short guys and not necessarily midgets? Who knows. Didnt I read somewhere Mikey Batts was also being considered at one point for a junior?!!!
  23. Cole about Henry-Taker: "It doesnt get any bigger and better than this!!" Ugh...
  24. Oh wow this is quite the segment here....Burchell is fucked.
  25. That was an obvious overdub with Cole bragging about successful Smackdown apparently is in the ratings. Lame.
