The Viewtiful Joe games (multiple Platform) are both cheap and fun. If you like survival horror, Silent Hill 2 is my favourite of the series, and should be REALLY cheap now. Disgaea for PS2. Just checked, and it seems to still sell for about $40 on eBay, but considering the sheer amount of gameplay, that's a bargain. The most fun I've had gaming in the last few years is playing through Legend of Zelda: Four Swords with four people. Seeing as you need the game, a Gamecube, 4 GBAs and 4 link cables, it could be the most expensive game out there. Plus though VS. is fun, I don't imagine co-op is any good once you've beaten it once. Lastly, yeah, God of War is the shit.

Red Dawn is just as conservative as The Day After Tomorrow is liberal. If you only think documentaries count, there's plenty right-wing documentaries, they just go straight to video.

Veronica Mars, Arrested D, Family Guy and My Name is Earl are a lock for shows I'll watch. I'll check out How I Met Your Mother, Kitchen Confidential and Bones. I do need to check out Lost on DVD, but by the time my friends got obsessed with it, I was already way behind and figgered I'd never catch up. EDIT: I'm really worried Veronica Mars is going to get cancelled though. It's such a great show, so well written and acted (aside from Teddy Dunn), and it has gotten horrible ratings. It doesn't have the press that AD has, either.

Veronica Mars should have been the savior of UPN, but people tend to not watch good shows. Or just not expect them to be on UPN.

The death of VHS is coming very shortly.

Whatever. Fuck Lucas for not releasing the original trilogy sans bullshit on DVD. He HAS to know that 1/10 of his fans like the changes. So now you have to have the original trilogy on VHS and ROTS on DVD. Fun! -
One thing I've sort of been noticing in various leagies I'm privvy to/pro fantasy mock drafts is that people definitely underestimate the power of Priest with an LJ handcuff. Move LJ up to 5th round, no one should pick him, and you essentially have a back that ruins all other fantasy RBs. Best O line in football, and bost are insanely talented. Last year I rode a Priest/LJ comb (minus Blaylock, which hurt me) Curtis Martin and Joe Horn to a superbowl win. I'm really pumped to have a killer receiving core with Randy Moss and Boldin, Jimmy Smith and Justin Mcairens backing them up. Besides Horn, I was always scrambling for a second WR last year (I picked Boldin, and he got hurt) and I don't relish the thought again. Also my team is young. I figure Moss, R. Johnson, Lamont and Cedric are killer keepers, with Boldin sneaking in there depending on his performance/ how well LaMont and Cedric do. Lastly, I DID fuck up at one spot in the draft. I really like Carson Palmer, and think he's going to have a good year, and I'm a Bengals mark, so I reached for him in the 5th round. I could've had BULGER, which would have made my team easily the best in the league, if not for the fact that I hate the Rams (who always beat my beloved 'Hawks.) Never let personal preference cloud your draft choice.

Fuck, I could've told you that. Housing prices are UNREAL. Even when you factor in that tradesmen are getting paid fucking outrageous wages nowadays (seriously, who decided fucking carpenters are worth $80/hour?) housing prices are unreal. I live in Seattle, and this little POS 750 square feet house across the streetwith an unfurnished basement sold for 375,000 fucking dollars. Unfuckingreal. That's unsustainable. It's getting to the point that renting an apartment your entire life is the sweeter deal. That's crazy.

SPINNING PILEDRIVER I LOVE my team. complete redraft, 12 teams, 4 keepers from now on. 9th pick. Randy Moss- WR Rudi Johnson- RB Lamont Jordan- RB Cedric Benson- RB Carson Palmer- QB (should have picked Favre, but I'm high on the Bengals. I think he'll make a very good keeper) Anquan Boldin- WR (fucking STEAL if he remains healthy) And then some stuff. LJ Smith, Pitt D, Jimmy Smith, Justin Mcairens, Ryan Longwell, Griese, some backup RBS. I think Lamont and Anquan are some kickass sleepers, and while Cedric was a bit of a risk, I get home and he's FINALLY fucking signed. I love my team. That's a hell of a team RRRSH, It's tough to have Priest w/o Larry Johnson, but I surmise you made a good pick in his place. Wow, Kahran, was that from a draft? That team's increible.

did anyone SEE her in Blade: Trinity? She looked fucked up.

Does the title track sound a WHOLE lot like 'Amber' to anyone else?

Catherine Keener is so hot and such an incredible actress. I like most every movie she's in, even the so-so ones. (i.e. Death to Smoochy)

The only one I haven't read is Superman. I voted Watchmen. It's one of the best things I've read period. Miracleman does come pretty close though. The Killing Joke Is probably a distant third behind those two. I have only read the first trade and a few issues of his Swamp Thing run though, and I'd love to see how he writes Constantine (since he did create him, right?) One other really enjoyable book that's now on the list is Top Ten. Nothing mind-blowing, but very entertaining.

Oh, wow. You are correct sir. Thank you. Now I'll be able to party with my soul at ease.

I was going to say The Maxx as well. Really intriguing and funny and sad. Always liked Keith's artwork too. Also after picking up some of the old Giffen League, and the later Can't believe it's not the Justice League, I wish those had been given a longer run. Though that wouldn't really work since -
50 foot Wave NIN and QotSA I'm missing Devo to go to a friend's bachelor party. Boo.

I've said it once, I'll say it again: AD is already, after two seasons, my favorite show of all time. The only shows that come close in comedy for me in the last decade are Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, and I like Ad better than either.

Dude, did Steve Carrell fuck your dog in the ass or something? Chillllll. Catherine Keener makes this a must-see now. She's pretty much my fave actress.

I <3 Air.

I think the point of this thread was not to put widely reviled bands like Nickelback and Jet. And Oh boy guys. If you hated Franz Ferdinand before, wait until you hear their new single. I liked the band, and saw them put on a great live show; but their new single is fucking insufferable.

United State of Electronica Bikini Kill The Asylum Street Spankers Jethro Tull Curiously a number of my friends don't hate Blonde Redhead, Bjork and Ween, who you'd think would be on the list.

I just read the first Giffen TPB, and I really, really liked it.

I've really been enjoying Villains United, but it seems sort of absurdist. Rock on, Catman. Rann/Thanagar has been boring as of yet. I've got my Days of Vengeance complete with black Vengeance tie-in, but I haven't read it. OMAC: was much improved by the ending of Sacrifice, I have no idea what this is ending up to, though. This is clearly Maxwell Lord's attempt to make me want to read the Giffen League. I am so compelled. I can't find the run at my local store though. Could someone point me to the Giffen run at MileHigh? Or what year the Giffen run started? Because I am seriously jonesing for it. And will pay money. And couldn't find it at Mile High because I'm incompetent. All I remember is Batman socking the living shit out of Gardner, and the subsequent rejoicing. I really liked the Giffen League, and don't even know it.
