The entire time I played I had the R1 button held down, making my character run like his ass was on fire, and the ship speed up to a crawl. The encounter rate is still awful. And yeah, the graphics are pretty. More for the backgrounds than the fairly generic character models. Most games are ugly compared to FFX.

Suikodne IV It's better than Suikoden III, and not nearly as good as the first two. It has a fairly intriguing plot (I didn't play through the entire game, mind you), it goes back to the engagingly quick system of the first two games. The graphics are REALLY pretty. The ridiculous encounter rate hurts this game BADLY though, which is weird because Suikoden always had a pretty low encounter rate. Four people to a party also takes the variety out of the game. I would highly reccomend you rent this game. I was high on it at first, but the nasty, nasty encounter rate eventually wore me down.

I like both QotSA and Interpol, but QOTSA fucking annihilates Interpol live. Interpol's opening act, Blonde Redhead annihilated them live as well, but they may have been the best live group I've seen. How can anyone like the Bravery? Looks like a good show, tho.

If you can't work MAME too well, WinKAWAKS runs Capcom and Neo Geo Arcade games, is fast and very user friendly.

If they weren't so repetitious (their typical song structure seems to be: chorus verse chorus chorus chorus chorus chorus verse chorus chorus chorus) and didn't end every song in a fade-out.... They'd still be bloodless pseudo-reggae.

Ditto on Bono Lars from Metallica. Keane for their singer, and their keyboardist. Probably their drummer, too. And their music. Gavin Rosdale with Bush. I hate Creed and the Police. While they suck in the first place, their lead singers (some bigass tool and Sting, respectively) take it to a personal grudge.

It's cynical and calculating, but when the country at large violently opposes gay marriage, it's political death to tie your party to the issue. All things in their time.

ZSNES is quite a bit better than SNES9x, IMHO. Both work well, though. ZSNES will play games like Star Fox and Yoshi's Island and Star Ocean.

I'd heard some of their tunes like 'Bull in the Heather', 'Diamond Sea' and 'Superstar' on the radio, but though they were often referenced, it wasn't until I picked up 'Dirty' about two years ago that I really got into their music. Their tunings are weird, and it takes a little bit of listening to get into them, but I find their music is really rewarding. You can often hear new things every time you listen to their songs. Thousand Leaves They've got some stinker, Jet Set Trash and No Star is pretty dull, and Goodbye Twentieth Century is my least favourite type of music, modern classical. I really like the band though, and their sound has really evolved, from the pure nasty, scary sound of Confusion is Sex, to the beautiful jams of Murray St, Anyone else like them?

I'm a liberal who actually agred with Mike sometimes, (mostly on the judges being crazy thing), and while I agree that when he was wrong he restorted to the lamest flaming inaginable, banning him is shit. This is really crappy, mods.

He's had the potential to be great for a long time. WHen E&C split up, he immediately proved he was better on the mic, cutting great jealous promos while Edge talked about C peeing the bed as a kid. He's a great bumper, and he obviously KNOWS more moves than he performs. I don't know why he hits the chinlock so often when he doesn't ever seem to be sucking wind.

Xenocide is like the shittiest book ever. It's as bad as Ender's game is good. Also, i'm not a big ST fan, though 'Khan' is an awesome movie. All right, aside from ripping card, his argument just doesn't make sense. His main contention seems to be that Star Trek had bad acting, and lacked a believable ficticious science. On the first, he goes ahead and praises Buffy and Smallville? Yeah Smallville, what a well-acted show. And Buffy had as many good acting moments as bad, but I'll always have a soft spot for Ooooooh Baybeeeee... Ok, the shows ARE based on speculative scientific theory. And the sci-fi aspects on the shows aren't just to keep things moving along until the writers get back to the teen dramady. Speaking of which, while both are good authors, LeGuin and Moorcock basing their science on anything close to actual science is just flabbergasting. Both were mainly fantasy authors, and Moorcock's sci-fi seems to be written under a heavy regimen of acid. Asimov and Clarke were two who wrote somewhat speculative science fiction, but it's more like 'what if we could predict the future given a mathematical formula.' Hardly hard science, because hard science is fucking boring, and no-one wants to read about some guy in space reading dials all fucking day. P.S. It basically seems that he's jealous that ST got really popular. P.P.S. I'm surprised that he likes Smallville, man when I watched that show I thought it was fucking GAY, not in any pejorative sense, but that it was created pretty much for Superman/Lex Luthor slash fans.
