Indeed. They did not express any evidence that executing a 16 or 17 year old is cruel or unusual, without throwing out the death penalty altogether. There was no evidence given that I can see that a 16 or 17 yo is constitutionally (in the literal sense of the word, not the document) incapable of understanding right and wrong, cause and effect. A state can vote to uphold modify or reject death penalty statutes based on the citizens' wishes. States often do.

I hate to say it, but that's an opinion. It's not the court's job to express their opinion or play the moral philosopher role. It's to determine if laws made by the legislature are constitutional.

Dan Rather Farewell from the Liddy & Hill Show
Special K replied to teke184's topic in Current Events
I don't give two shits about Dan Rather OR the National Guard Story, but that's a terrible fucking parody song. -
If any of you haven't seen this, you might get a kick out of it. Watchmen Photoshop Fun.

Ah, the Driller Killer. Dancing around with a guitar with a drill on the end and singing bad wannabe Elvis songs. True movie magic.

The hardest thing about it is that every character except Dr. Manhattan shows up both in their prime and over-the-hill. It's easier to make an actor look older than younger, but the character's appear for the majority of the story as their older counterparts. I guess the masks will help that. Dan Akroyd, for example, would have a hell of a time playing a young Nite Owl.
-
I thought Jude Law too. He can play a arrogant pretty boy quite well. The only thing, is it may make Ozymandius's villainy a bit too obvious.

Young Miracleman supposedly becomes more of a mjor character in Gaiman's run, and I believe Moore was leaving some threads dangling so Gaiman had things to work with. Keep in mind he hand picked Gaiman to take over.

Put some geoducks in her armoire. That'll teach her.

Scarecrow looks fuckin' sinister. I hope this movie kicks ass.

Oh, I also bought rock and roll two days ago

Had to be said.

Regarding horror, I read some Edward Lee and it was shit. The Girl Next Door by Ketchum is supposed to be THE shit, so I'm looking into it. Otherwise, Lovecraft is actually the only author to make me feel shifty, so take that for what you will.

If we have an entire thread devoted to Ashley 'fuckin' Simpson, I think We can devote some love to the Rock. What rock bands do you like? Nirvana. I'm 24 from Seattle, it's a logical place to start. Pixies Ween Sleater Kinney Breeders Sonic Youth Dead Kennedys Clash Offspring Yeah Yeah Yeahs (too bad they sucked live) Violent Femmes Blonde Redhead Bjork semi-qualifies. And is a musical genius, no hyperbole. Guitar Wolf. Bad Brains. So what what non-heavy-metal band do you love?

Stalin truly rocked the 'stache. Look at those quirked eyebrows, those pouty lips just barely hidden under the wonderforest of that 'stache. It's Ok. Just because you're attracted to a man doesn't make you gay.

You conservatives make me sick. When Clinton was in office, we had ZERO ZOMBIE THREAT. Now Bush in in office, fuckin' zombies are running are running all over the place, because we provoked them! America with its snooty 'Oh, we're completely living and not thirsting for brains' policy. That just makes them want to eat brains people! And now we have to hire illegal immigrants (guitar wolf) to slake their first with rock 'n fuckin' roll. I would have thought the documentary 'Wild Zero' would have dissuaded you fucks from this course of action.

There's something about Blackman, Deano, and Storm that made them HI-larious as straight-men. 'It's party time' should have woeked so well if it was played ironically.

In general, there are tons of matches that can overwhelm you with nostalgia. I would posit the Dreamer/Raven series of matches as a series of OK matches with a great storyline that can still suck us in and make us marks. I know I will never be able to view Bret/Owen WMX objectively since it was the first great match I saw. Likewise the Rude/Chono G1 finals match will always be firmly ensconced in my mind since it was the first puro match I saw, and I'm a mark for both. In all honesty, none of the matches mentioned in this thread pertaining to Hogan are great, or shit. They're just fine. But, Hogan was a star, with incredible charisma. Being sucked into one of his matches is nothing to be ashamed about. It also doesn't put those matches in the realm of the great matches. They're great for markism, and fine for matches. That puts it in the realm of a very good, not great, match. And frankly, in the Hogan era, the wrestling audience was starved for great matches. That's why I think Steamer/Savage WMIII is overrated, but that's another argument for another day...

Let's be sincere and non-self-referential

I have to put live geoducks in my pants to achieve erection. Then I boil them and eat them along with a side of my own salty tears.... Geoducks are hot. And in all seriousness, every aspect of my life is great except for my complete baffling inability to get a gf. Oh, who am I kidding? Fap.
