    I just "blue" myself????

Arrested Development is the best show on TV. Only pedophiles disagree. EDIT: Network TV

    "Rockin' it, Frat-Party Style!"

I do hope you're kidding. Hey guys! Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger! I just came up with that. To be the man you've got to be the man! I just came up with it. Plaigirism! It's fun. 'Tis a far, far better thing than I have ever done before.' ^ Guess what. I wrote that shit.

    Suikoden IV

Either way, SD3 is a very good game. I've played through it. Considering that Square decided to unleash the horror of the awful SaGa Frontier series and Evermore (American developed), while Romancing SaGa 3 and SD3 went undeveloped is totally fucking bizzare. I sort of switched topic in mid paragraph above. Lufia was a decent RPG, Lufia 2 ruled, and the subsequent Lufias ate it, I was mooning over the prospect of a LUNAR 3.

    A-Rod starting crap

A-Rod should never talk about people crying though. He cries more than Evelyn Gardner.

    Battle Royale released in US?

Says it's unrated. Whether that means it will be released unrated or the MPAA just hasn't gotten to it, we shall see.

    I'm sick.

I know, but it doesn't last long and it really helps. It's worked much better than listerene in my experience. Why it works.

    Rage virus vs. Romero Zombies

Do we have room for a Frankenhooker?

    I'm sick.

It's not very pleasent, but gargling with warm salt water almost always cures any throat pain when I have a cold.

    Battle Royale released in US?

Didn't know Netflix doesn't carry Region 0. This is indeed odd. Upon some searching, I read that Toei refused to liscense it for the U.S. for fear of controversy. Perhaps Netflix received enough requests to get the Region 0?

    Rage virus vs. Romero Zombies

Buddy Holly from 'Six-String Samurai' Come on, buddy Holly took out the Russian Army with a sword! Zombies don't stand a chance. Perhaps the main character of 'Versus'. May be hampered because he's a feminist.

SD3 is the one they didn't bring over, it's great. Thank God for emulation. I would say Lufia 2 also is an RPG that is very good that wasn't really innovative. They added some Zelda-ish puzzles is all. Also the Lunar series. The story, characters, and translation completely overshadow a dull combat system. If they could come up with some fun combat, Lunar 3 would be incredible.

    Recommendations for reading?

Fantasy: Song of Ice and Fire - George RR martin Memory, sorrow and thorn - Tad Williams Coldfire Trilogy - C. S. Friedman David Edding's first few series are pretty nice too. David Gemmell has tons of one-shots that are fun and quick to read. Old School Fantasy: Michael Moorcock's Elric, Hawkmoon and Corum series. They're all distantly tied together (hero is constantly reincarnated) Sci-Fi: Neal Stephenson - Snow Crash, Diamond Age, Cryptonomicon William Gibson - Start with Neuromancer (Or maybe Virtual Light? More accessible) and if you like it, complete either trilogy. Actually, Burning Chrome, his collection of short stories might be the best place to start. He was way ahead of his time. China Mieville - Perdido Street Station Old School Scifi: Harry Harrison - THe early Stainless Steel Rat books, the first Bill the Galactic hero book. Make Room, Make Room (The first are wry sci-fi adventures with a roguish hero, the latter a broad satire that's pretty darn funny. The last is Soylent Green.) Asimov- I, Robot Arthur C. Clarke- The first 'Rama' book. Phillip jose Farmer- Riverworld series Philip K Dick short stories Mystery/Crime/Thriller: Anything by James Lee Burke or Robert Crais. I like them even more than Elmore Leonard, who is great. Earl Emerson is a pretty good mystery author as well. And Shelock Holmes short stories and novels are great. Non-Fiction: Wild Swans Friday Night Lights The World's Religions- Huston Smith Plays: Shakespeare, Tom Stoppard and Sam Shepherd Classics- Jane Austen, Oscar Wilde. James Joyce's The Dubliners. A Confederacy of Dunces.

    Hey guys, a question.

I hope you're hungry. Eatting them is the best way to get rid of evidence! Or say a Puerto Rican guy did it.

Am I the only one who was in a fraternity where people acted normal? EDIT: I mean normal for human beings, not frat boys.

The one and only emulation thread

All CPS2 games (most Capcom games Pre street Fighter III I think) emulate excellently on WinKawaks, which is fast and easy to use. EDIT: is there a Saturn emulator? You'd think it would be less advanced than N64 or even GBA

    Battle Royale released in US?

Check it. Thank God I live near Scarecrow. According to Amazon, it hasn't been released, and all the DVDs listed here are region 0 (will work on US DVD player) I can attest that the translation's good, and they're not bootlegs, as I've rented it twice from there. Pricey though. This is probably what you get from Netflix.

The OAO Ashlee Simpson Show Thread

Regarding her 'one mistake'. They say when you get busted for drunk driving, it's probably not the first time. Milli Vanilli only made one mistake too. And bringing the war up smacks of trolling.

    The Spiderclone Saga

Yeah, it was that bad. It really hurt Parker's character. The one cool thing was Reilly's alternate Spider-man costume. Looked great, and was close enough to the original. I wish they had kept it, or at least the big, black-costume-esque spider logo.

    Suikoden IV

Yes, it does I will say one thing I hope they don't stick with is the four person party. 6 people in the Suikoden games is much more appropriate, given the number of characters, and amount of combo attacks and runes. If you like a particular 2 person combo attack that doesn't involve the main character, you only have one slot left. Weak.

    Suikoden IV

Is Tri-Ace working on anything now? God I want Valkyrie Profile 2. Maybe FFT isn't necessarily 'innovative', maybe way more in-depth is a better way to describe it. The level of character customization was crazy. FFTA indeed sucked the meat missle. Tactics Ogre Advanced is a pretty fine fame, IMO, though I eventually tired of it. Maybe I'll finish it up. It's LONG.
  23. People also saw the TPM multiple times and it SUCKED. If this movie is good, more people will see it a few times in the theaters.

    Rage virus vs. Romero Zombies

The scary thing? You could most likely have the rage virus and the shivers parasite at the same time. An angry sex zombie who runs away screaming and never calls back. Throw in Tyrant from RE and along with Tarman and Bub you have a sort of zombie oligarchy.

    Bad 80's martial arts movie

I think it was set in the modern day, with several people being hunted through a sort of village with booby traps etc. a la Running Man. Notable because I remember it being fairly gory, and a RIDICULOUS scene where the hero disposes of tons of baddies by doing a pommel horse routine. He just sits there swinging around and around while generic ninja after generic ninja stands just close enough to be kicked. Even as a young'n I thought it was gloriously cheesy.
