Having a justifiable reason for going to war would be the global test. Unprovoked agression is usually frowned upon. EDIT: Don't want to get into the endless discussion over whether this war was justified or not.

I don't know the figures from Gitmo, but at Guantanamo, the FBI said that probably half the people there had done no wrong. Not wanting innocents tortured by our military hardly sounds like supporting terrorists to me. And to the inevitable knee-jerk: yeah, beheading people IS far worse, but we're supposed to be liberators, and the shining example of democracy. And whiel some may not be protected by the Geneva convention, no one in the government is arguing that. They're trying to distance themselves from it as quickly as they can. Why? They know it's wrong.

Jericho kicked out of it the WM before that too.

Hopefully Sandman is just good with his money. He probably made a shit-ton in WCW, and since he'd been working for cheap all his career, he could have realized he better hold on to it. Or he could just like being poor. I miss Dawn Marie's character. She was hilarious. No Taz Sandman or Shane is gonna hurt. You know Awesome's not going to fly back to the states for one show. (probably has a bad relationship anyway). Dreamer and Malenko have been non-wrestlers for too long. If Heyman were involved, I would have ordered it. As it stands, I have no faith in the WWE to pull this off well.

Here's some: The Rikishi Driver: Great looking move (a well executed Greetings from Asbury Park), I think the WWE probably asked him to stop using it after a month or two. Norton's running shoulderbreaker: Another great looking move, someone probably HAS kicked out of this, (especially if he used it in NJPW) but not that I've seen. Was Kobashi's Diamondhead (botched-looking Thunder Fire Powerbomb) ever kicked out of? I don't know how the move was treated, since I haven't watched any Japanese matches past 2000. What about Victoria's Widow's Peak? I don't remember any of the face women kicking out of it when she was a heel. The Ki Krusher '00? Nasty ass move. Haven't watched enough Ki matches to know.

I never really believed wrestling was real (the Undertaker v 20 or so match at RR convinced me of that) but what worked angle made you buy it? I have 2. HBK collapsing after the owenzuigiri. Looking back on it the sell is kind of corny, but the announcers 'owen' reaction had me sold believing Shawn was fucked. Bret v Diesel whatever, I was a huge Bret fan, and when he collapsed after being set up for the powerbomb, I thought he was fucked up pretty bad. as pretty brutal matches go, he rivalled Shawn in pain in this one. Mike Awesome v Spike Dudley: I don't know the date of this ECW PPV, but honestly, I thought Spike was going to die, every move.He was fucking brutalized, and I liked Spike. He took a shit-kicking maybe unlike I have ever seen.

It's such a paper-thin method they use it's depressing. Take a crazy liberal with a wildly unpopular view, or take a quote out of context. Tie it to the left-wing as a whole. Say that they are snooty and hate all Americans who aren't "the intellectual elite" (when did it become wrong to be an intellectual? Interestingly, if someone brings up something someone crazy and conservative like Phelps or Savage said, just scoff that they hardly represent the conservative mindset. Ted Rall made fun of a US soldier who died? ALL LIBERALS MUST THINK LIKE HIM! THEY LAUGH AS OUR CHILDREN DIE! Since people are unified in how they think about 9/11 it is ESPECIALLY good to tie any dissent with Bush's policies to support for 9/11. 'These people want you to be blown up!' was a line I heard today. Slander people and then refuse to have them on your show. Let only idiots who dissent call. I sometimes listen to Savage because he's smart, goes off on interesting intellectual tangents, and is a purple-with-rage insane sonofabitch. Also a racist and homophobe. O listen to his show, though because he's completely honest. Today he said in such a casual offhand manner that he didn't give a shit at all about the tsunami victims, and they were stupid and should have known it was coming. He feels bad for the elephants though... Wow. I'll also listen to Medved sometimes as I like him, and he's the only one who seems interested in having intelligent liberals (whacko or not) come on his show. Though he talks over them and obsfuscates things in the typical way.

Both sides are sleazy in this. A conservative-run Florida elections board wouldn't allow a revote, and a liberal-run WA elections board won't allow a revote. I don't want either one to be my Governor.

IMDb says Will is gone. Seeing as he was my favourite character, this makes me sad. What happened to him? Sorry. Anyone want to say, though?

What do you think a church should look like?
Special K replied to Masked Man of Mystery's topic in General Chat
Sure, small churches are great. A steel box is really uninspiring though. -
One thing that can be said: UT is so protected, when someone DOES go over him fairly clean, it's big. I do think it helped Brock (I was worried when the aforementioned near-squash took place) and I remember when Rock pinned him in a handicap (Rock, Shamrock, Foley v UT and I think Kane?) It was pretty big, and sort of heralded Rock's assention to ME status. I don't think it's helped JBL because he needs so much help all the time.

St. Paul's is the prettiest I've been in. Here, we have some that I think are honestly converted warehouses with a cross stuck on top. A box with a cross. -
For bands I haven't heard of? Yes. All my friends listen to rap, and while I like some rap, I have to use the radio to hear about new rock bands. It's a good thing Seattle has a couple good stations.

Did anyone ever kick out of the Jackhammer? Maybe Sting? I wasn't watching WWE during Goldberg's run, so I don't know if someone there did.

I don't mind the Benoit loss, but I must contend the above point: UT in the last few years has only lost to my knowledge to Brock ONCE (after essentially squahing him the month before) and when it's 3 on 1 odds. I think it's better that they FINALLY gave Edge a win. Jesus had he won any matches since his turn?

It never bugged me when he made valid arguments, what did bug me was when he would just discount whole arguments because 'that article's by so-and-so, can't be even considered' when even the most partisan columnists make valid points occasionally (OK, not Coulter). This happened ALL THE TIME. So if someone posted inane liberal bullshit, you would get a point-by-point reply, when most people already new it was bullshit. If someone posted a valid and interesting liberal theory, you would get 'it's written by a liberal' or if it's a poster with an original sentence 'dirty hippy'.

Well, much like the Blink argument earlier, I'm not going to spend hard-earned money if I don't hear a single song off an album I like on the radio. Hell, Nickelback could be GREAT (actually, no they couldn't) and I just despised their two singles. Of course, there are exceptions. I don't hate The Killers after seeing them in concert (part of a 6-band show) though I hate their big single. But I figure it's a band's responsibility to get me to like them. There are too many good bands out there, and CD's are fucking expensive nowadays.

Have been in this thread for a while, and this may have been quoted alreaty, if so, I apologize. Nash, the crowning moments of the nWo invasion: So this is where the big boys play? Look at like the ADJECTIVE. Play. Even as a 14-15 year old mark, I doh'ed at that.

Rant? The same guy who geleefully laughed when a environmentalist died? He's not laid back at all, sorry. Though he does post tittllating pictures,

MrRant: Would you II: Electric Boogaloo is located one folder down, in the LSD folder. You're welcome! Unless you meant to imply that I was Roman. If that is the case sir, I am deeply dissapointed in you.

Hoooooly shit! You got me GOOD you fucker!

Ah, MrRant. Truly a tribute to the species and always a thought-provoking individual.
