Who is pressuring the networks to ban this commercial? Any religion who accepts gays shouldn't have a problem with it, since it doesn't mention specific churches banning gays, it just says 'you'll be accepted here.' Any religion who rejects gays: you made your own bed. Lie in it.

I'm using Starvenger's creterium. You know, Maximum Carnage was WAY worse than the Clone Saga. It's just the Clone Saga was longer. I'll say my pick for best is, hmmm. Alan Moore's first storyline in Swamp Thing Swamp Thing learns he was never human, and kills. and Garth Ennis's first first storyline in Hellblazer. Of all the things that could've killed him, Constantine gets cancer from all the cigs he smokes.

This is already, IMO one of the truly great comedies on TV of all time, no hyperbole. I have not disliked an episode yet. And for every time I crack up, (maybe once every 90 seconds?) I chuckle at least twice. It's amazing the way they can pack in great lines and also keep a cohesive and interesting storyline going. I REALLY hope this show doesn't get cancelled, but I think it'll get support, because a first-year Emmy comedy winner from FOX has got to please them.

They do, but it's incidental. They pick out shows that are sexually explicit. The shows I can remember them just losing their mind about are: WWF Buffy Nip/Tuck They complained more about the sexuality in the WWF than anything. Likewise, as I said, they didn't have too much of a problem with Buffy until it had a couple quite suggestive sex scenes. Nip/Tuck can be occasionally violent, but they raised way more of a stink about it than The Shield, which is a very brutal show. Why? Sex. Now they carp on violence of course, but it's sex that makes them single out shows.

I swear, 50% of the posts in CE are now just 'hippy'. And now I'm posting about it. Oh, the irony.

Really, all of Jet's singles. All incredibly lame rip-offs, that sounded better when they were done by the original artists. Just a horrible, horrible band. Plus they immediately sold their songs (well their one big single) to as many commercials as possible, aggravating me even further. Do people hear songs like that and think 'oooh! I've heard this song before, but better! I think I'll buy the album.' If I had to pick one particular song, 'Cold Hard Bitch' barely edges out 'Are you gonna be my girl.' The latter was way overplayed, but the former is just a fucking atrocious song.

The PTC truly exemplifies the ethos of sex and the word 'shit' being nasty, vile and sinful, while violence is A-OK USA! See Buffy, it was pretty much always a pretty violent show, but once the main character has a little sex, it's voted the worst show on TV. It never complains about R-rated movies shown with pretty much only the language cut being broadcast in the afternoon, but on Nip/Tuck they have sex! And say the S-word! Never mind that it's on at 10:00 PM. It'll never change. Remember NYPD Blue? Violence, bah. They showed a rear end! This is TRULY twisted. I like a good ol' violent movie, but I'd rather kids were exposed to a bum than squibs flying all over the place in a Seagal movie shown at like 4:00. I'd probably rather that than them watching people prostitute themselves on reality shows as well, truth be told.

Out of the lemon-lime sodas, I prefer Sprite. However, i never drink lemon-lime.

Most comic philes are unanimous in their evalutions and love of Spider-Man and especially Batman. What do you think of Supes? I think he's a great iconic character who is tremendously boring in his own comics, but is the ultimate guest star, to play off of whomever's book he's appearing in. your thoughts?

There's a ton of local places here in Seattle (Red Mill, Dick's) that warrant mention, but we don't have any places like Carl Jr's, Hardee's, Sonic, Rally's that are probably superior to most nationwide fast food places. So I voted for Jack in the Crack as fave nationwide since it's the only place I occasionally eat, and it's usually pretty damn tasty. I'll eat at Wendy's, but never the burgers. Honorable menton to Arby's for not actually HAVING burgers, but having some fine fast food sandwiches.
