In real Celebrity Jeapordy, didn't Jason Alexander just whomp everyone's ass? If so, that's kick-ass. My favorite SNL moment is at the end of one of the sketches where Turd Furgeson puts the comically oversized hat on Ferrell's head and he just completely loses it and freaks the fuck out. Which reminds me of perhaps my favorite SNL moment. Johnny Carson and Burt Reynolds losing their shit (I think Reynolds was played by Hartman) Chris Farley playing DOm Deluise comes up and hits them both in the crotch with a pie, all three are cracking up, Farley pisses himself. It's terrible, low-brow and stupid, yet perfectly fucking absurd. I almost do a Dom Deluise everytime I see it.

He pretty much proved he's a sociopath in that thread. And I mean that in the literal sense, not in a cute exaggerating manner. I'm pretty politically-minded, and have spirited debates with conservative friends. Usually people with a fucking brain can have a difference of opinion in a civil manner. Seriously, though, if you're so crazy left or right that you think the other side is literally evil, well, then you think half this nation's people are honestly evil human beings. I work with two guys who have worked together for at least 20 years, and at least 3 times a week they get into this screaming debate. They fucking HATE each other. How can you live like that? How can you have that much anger in you at all times? Vyce is one guy whose views I disgree with, but appreciate because he makes me think outside my own views. He was horrified by Mike's comments because they were fucking vile, and yeah, in my mind, pretty damn evil. Making fun of RAPE VICTIMS. what a swell guy! Gee I can't think of anything he could have said to make his fiancee beat the living shit out of him. Though his 'fiancee' is probably some girl he roofied and raped because not saying no means it's not rape. SCORE! Then she woke up and beat his sorry ass with a phone. (I do still appreciate his flair for arcane insults. He's a Berk.) Seriously, people say things on the 'net that they'd never say in real life, but usually they're trying to be cute or clever. Mike was serious. I think he must be a miserable, miserable human being in real life.

Nothing like a fresh pot of father's penis tea.

Look out, Shapley and Curtis! There's another Great Debater in our midst!

Mike is a nice guy? Let's take a walk down memory lane! Come on! It's this way! http://www.shootproject.com/thepit/index.php?showtopic=1685 I stand by this. Funny how Sir Rapelot got his ass handed to him by a girl for 20 minutes. GOD I'm so fucking hard right now.

Who are the ones to the left and lower-left of Power Girl?

This cover is actually pretty awesome, but it's one that always causes anyone female to look at you funny. "It's a really good album! Honestly!" And I don't think Muse necesarily sucks. They're hilariously self-important and bombastic, and I can't see myself buying one of their albums, but they're better than 90% of the shit on the radio now.

All those quotes are real. I've heard 'rake' used in that manner before, but it's always been sort of affectionate, sort of like scoundrel.

Alex Trebek: President Nixon declared this holiday in June. Contestant: What is Don't Impeach Me Day! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [From a tournament for 9-to-11 year olds] Contestant: Can I ask you a question? Alex Trebek: Sure. Contestant: Will you adopt me? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alex Trebek: [Tool Time for $200] This word for a long-handled garden implement can also mean an immoral pleasure seeker. Ken Jennings: What is a hoe? [the correct answer was rake] Alex Trebek: So *that's* what they teach you at school in Utah! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alex Trebek: We introduced you as a forensic toxologist. Contestant: That's right. Alex Trebek: Which means you do what, precisely? Contestant: I analyze tissues and bodily fluids for the New York State Police. Alex Trebek: I see. So you have to be dead before you do anything to me? Contestant: Yes. I'm sorry, I won't have anything to do with you while you're alive. Alex Trebek: You're not the first woman to have said that to me, believe me! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alex Trebek: [in final jeopardy] You wrote down "What is I have no freaking idea?"

No, when he was Chrono it almost ruined the game for me. And I got the secret ending, the super-secret ending and the frog ending.

Quit derailing the thread. The last time I watched anything Star Trek, I think it was the first episode of the next Generation. Q, this omnipotent guy, shows up on-screen. Worf immediately points his gun at him, and Patrick Stewart is aghast, like 'NO DON'T shoot the shit out of our starship." Nerdily hilarious. I almost pissed my pants. It was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. It's like if in the Hunt for Re October they looked at the sonar and shot the fucking screen Oh, sorry. Ann Coulter's a cunt EDIT: this is now the Dorn appreciation thread. Golly he's tall and handsome. And her sure does get the bitches. He was also featured in the first Gabriel Knight game, as a voodoo Doctor. Boyh I'd like him to give ME a pap smear. ON MY BALLS. I'm clever.

Most of the reviews I've seen are saying OMG raycist~! A couple were wise to the old Santo and Blue Demon movies and saw it as an homage. That being said, I thought the preview looked really funny, but a lot of people are saying that all the best jokes are contained in the preview. I'll probably see a matinee tomorrow. EDIT: If he had said OH IT'S THE JUGGERNAUT BITCH and I got a BITCH WITH ME! it would haver been the best thing ever.

Bleach manga/anime is very good. It ain't shit compared to any of the animes I've recommended. Champloo Bebop Escaflowne Saber Marionette J Slayers Next The Irresponsible Captain Tylor Gundam Gunda, Zeta Ranma 1/2 first two seasons These are all better than Bleach. Which I like. Just saying.

The best performances of this decade

Jeremy {iven is indeed great in 'Entourage', but I pretty much hate that show, and Piven can't even try to compete against any actor on AD. EDIT: Ok, I've watched pretty much the first season of Entourage and I fucking hate it. Every single masturbatory second of it. I know it's supposed to be a parody of Hollywood, but how could ayone like any second of this show? Jeremy Piven is great. Unless he's 90% of the show in the future, I fucking HATE it. How is this funny? -
All the 'ECW brand' needs to do is differantiate itself from the WWE. Let the wrestlers go. Have some fun spotfests. Make it wrestling-based. That's it. My first exposure to ECW, (hardcore TV) looking back on it, it wasn't that great but these guys were doing cool moves! They don't need to be tiger-suplexing each other off the ramp, they just have to have fast-paced matches that last more than 3 minutes.

While I love a lot of what DC is doing now, this is a far ballsier move than killing off a lot of characters we haven't seen in 10+ years. The art in #1 was really great too. This looks to be far more compelling than house of M. (Really, the far-reaching ramiications of House of M seem to amount to Quicksilver's de-powered.)

Sonic Youth 1-Daydream Nation 2- Murray St 3- Sister 4- Bad Moon Rising 5- Washing Machine 6- EVOL 7- Sonic Nurse 8- Goo 9- Confusion is Sex/Kill Yr Idols. 10- Rather Ripped 11- Thousand Leaves 12- First EP 13- Experimental Jet Set, No Star and Trash. 14- Dirty 15- I guess NYC flowers and Ghosts. Terrible album. Haven't listened to the SYRs. On second thought, Wish I Were a Carpenter is better than NYC based on one track.

I remember having some fun with Eternal Champions on Genesis. It wasn't great by any means, but everyone had so many damn special moves it was nuts. It also had a pretty interesting roster of characters.

Once Lou left his wife she lost interest. I don't even think she was in Season 2, just mentioned in a throway line.

Yeah you're right. Nix that comparison. Shins actually have a lot of energy (they're really funny live). bad comparison.

Snow Patrol's ten times the band Keane is. They were both at the aforementioned show. (which Franz Ferdinand totally stole) Snow Patrol didn't quite blow the socks out of my ass, but they were pleasant, the guy could sing live, instead of just wailing. Of course Keane was so bad, after a song and a half, I had a headache and literally walked out of the arena onto the smoking deck until their set was done. I think out of the newer pleasant 'such nice boys' bands the Shins are easily my favorite.

As I said, some of their vocal melodies were pretty cool. I really liked "Trouble" when it came out, but if you think about it, the melodey's all in the vocals, the piano backing is really basic. I actually liked Coldplay's first album too, but they wore out their welcome really quickly by doing the same damn song over and over. Besides the "Computer Love" song, I can't really dredge up any memories of their past two albums, even though the singles were on the radio constantly.
