I've never seen this opnion expressed, ever. And I can't see where they're coming from. I don't want to be an ass, but I can probably think of at least 10 better WWF/e matches off the top of my head. And, just to rereiterate, I really like the match. It's a terrific fucking match.

Either way it's RIDICULOUS! We spent hours of pouring over footage my ass. As I said. I really like WMXVII Austin/Rock I really, really like that match. But if you judge it AGAINST 20 fucking YEARS of wrestling: it doesn't compare. As I said, at LEAST 20 US matches are better, in the last 10 years. If you're talking just BIG MATCHES. What's Flair/Funk doing there (a match that I LOVE)? Why isn't Sting/Hogan there? It was such a BIG match. It's certainly not a bad list of matches. But when you bloviate about your research... shit I' may be more knowledgable than him, and I've just got some Schneider Comps. Hell, I'd pay $50 in a heartbeat for a compilation of those matches, even though I have two thirds of them. I just think, don't try to pass yourself off as an expert. And don't fucking make excuses for it either. Man, I've seen quite a few better matches than were on that list, and I don't think I've watched a wrestling match in a year. EDIT: IT'S TO WHIT, not to wit TO WIT!

BTW, even though it's a hilarious show, I am SO invested in the Jim/Pam relationship like a 14 yo girl (you know a lot of 14 yo girls?) Best couple ever in a sitcom. Ever. It is a bit too soon, but, but. Well I just watched the 6-hour Pride & Prejudice, and dammit, Go for it Jim. Go for it Pam. I know if this show's successful we'll have a fucking sitcom moment, but that felt natural, real, and completely unaffected. Pam is so goddamn cute. And Jim is fucking cuter. And as was said, it was done in a realistic way. A way every cute nerd guy, and every cute nerd girl could relate to. I mean GAY nerd. Who sniffs jockstraps. And does mothers.

I sure hope there's a sequel to Octagon or Deltron. Well, Apparently, Keith and Automator had a falling out. Damn fucking shame. Dan the Automator's the shit, but he needs to be paired with a clever rapper. Handsome boy modelling club is sorta mediocre, IMO. The first Body Count album should have some consideration. I don't think it's quite 'classic', but it still fucking cuts like a knife. EDIT: I just looked up the Automator on wikipedia, I had no idea he did Stereotype A. Another album I love of his.

A college class that takes attendance? Fuck that! My crowning achievment was going to Calc II (the hardest of the calcs, IMO) for: the first test, the three tests and the final. A- Of course then engineering prob/stat was so hard (and I'm good at basic prob/stat!) That I had to take it twice. Karma's a bitch. Fucking Fourier. No one likes you.

Hey, I can bring a couple of my 'neighbors' (crackheads) to rant. Or I can at least emulate them. If you give me $2 I'll smoke a lot of crack, and start.
-
What I enjoyed about college was taking up smoking, drinking, and a modicum of indiscrminate sex while being smart enough to get a degree in an incredibly hard major with little/no effort. What I did not enjoy after college was smoking, drinking, and a lack of indiscminate sex. At least there's money.

Motherfucker? Where did the motherfucking cheese go to?

It's definitely in my top 5. What can I say? I love pretty much everything Dan the Automator touches. Not to mention Kool Keith is a hell of a rapper. (Del's still my fave) Of course the Gray Album probably ranks in my top 10, so I'm weird. EDIT: I really wish the era of free sampling had continued a bit longer. I so love Strictly Business and Paul's Boutique.

Paraphrasing: And you'll never win my belt! Because you're a loser! Just like your poor... dead... daddyyyy!!

How would you all rank Dr. Octagon?

I loved Rainn Wilson on 6' Under. He brought some creepy levity to a miserable (again, not a statement on its quality) show. I'm glad he found a consistent role to use his comedic talents. I get the feeling he improvs the most out of the cast, aside from Carrell. From the deleted scenes of Season One: My ideal date? I take her out to a nice dinner. She looks amazing. Some guy tries to hit on her... now he wants to fight. So I grab him! I throw him into the jukebox! Then the other ninja’s got a knife, he comes at me, we grapple, I turn his knife on him. Blood on the dance floor. She’s scared now. I take her home. I’m holding her in my arms. I reach in for a kiss. I hear something in the leaves, I flip her around, she gets a poison arrow right in her back. She was in on it the whole time... But I knew. I think the one happy thought I have about the demise of my beloved AD is that it has indirectly inspired a lot of good, no laugh-track comedies that seem to be doing pretty well. (BTW, how does the Office do) Though 2.5 fucking Men is still the #1 comedy in America, apparently.

Of course it's all opinion, but you should make the criteria specific. Plus, as I said, if you don't know much about a certain style, just say so up front. I've seen about 2 lucha matches I like, and I'll freely admit that up front. I mean, I'd say my favorite match is probably Owen/Bret WMX, by dint of it being the first great match I ever saw. I can certainly say I've seen better matches, but it's still my fave. P.S: One match I've never really got the hype for is Steamboat/Savage. I mean, it's good and all, but I didn't see it and go 'wow'. It's probably the same thing I described above, the first really good match a lot of fans remember. Plus I never saw the buildup, so I don't get the emotional connection I get with the great Bret/Owen storyline.

Loved it! As to which is better, Office UK or US, they've diverged a lot in tone. Office UK is painful to watch. That's not a criticism, it's meant to be that way. Michael Scott's a dick, but Carrell's loveable, and Dwight's hilarious. The show's a little broader, but still believable. Everything the boss says in UK Office is so exruciating. He still sort of means well, but he's just completely insufferable. The show's still very funny, though. Either way, they're about equal in my mind, but quite different.

Whenever I make a list, I make sure to include the caveat "I haven't seen much Joshi or Lucha." Obviously this guy hasn't seen much Joshi or Lucha. And even without any sense of context, watching Thunderqueen I can tell you it's better than several matches on this list. Austin/Rock? It's not influential. It's not even, IMO, one of the 20 best US matches in the last 20 years. EDIT: I mean, I really like the match, but there have been a shitload of matches I've really liked that occurred over the past 20 years. Feh.

This is probably my favorite. These I really need to see. Like many, I started with the '94 J-cup and went forward, chronologically, from there.

I think Misawa/Kawada and Hokuto/Kandori are still regarded as the greatest single's matches ever. No one's stepped up to fill the void the big 4 (or big 5 with Akiyama) left in men's Japanese wrestling, as they slowly (inevitably, given their style) broke down I don't know the state of Modern Joshi at all. Here's something: What's considered the greatest singles Jr's match? I just tend to watch the guys I mark out for, namely Ohtani, Lyger, Malenko and Benoit.

I'm really glad Strictly Business is on there. I think Paul's Boutique should be on there over Ill Communication, for sure. and 3' high and should be on there, bar none.

-Lamb seems to have been an abused child. He gives that speech to Mr. Manning, and he seems genuinely upset when he learns that he let Goodman go. -Kendal put Duncan's hair on the statue. That's why she was rummaging in the shower. -The Fitapatricks basically were a big part of the Felix murder mystery, which was really predictable and lackluster. -I don't think Beav frameed Terrance, but I'm a little unclear about the C4. It was Woody's hangar, but why did he have C4 lying around? If it was to blow up Shark Stadeum, shouldn't that immediately have been apparent? Seems like a plot hole. Unless the mechanic worked there (forget his name) -Yeah, that seemed a bit hasty, but Veronica jumps to conclusions. Just look at her certainty that Logan was the Killer last season. It just so happens she was right, I guess. He has motive, means and opportunity, but it's not clear-cut.

Yeah, well I have a limited edition pet wookie.

That's the point, it was a significant moment, and they just dropped it.

In terms of stoner humor, Space Ghost is probably tops. In terms of visceral thrills, probably Akira, or maybe Princess Mononoke. -
Beaver sets Dick up with the tranny, and Dick's about to beat his ass. Beav, completely unintimidated, says "remember Sally?" Dick looks scared and backs off.

Good episode overall. This season really picked up steam during the end. A couple things though:

Ok, so my friend did the dumbest thing ever. (this is two weeks prior) We were walking out of the club, which I had been invited to late. We were getting out, everyone was having a good time. Time to get a cab. My friend WALKED OVER A BEAMER. For no fucking reason. I don't think he did any damage. But, the guy was right there, Thank God really, because motherfucker should have known better. The guy is exactly my size. (6'4 and big) I just made eye contact with this guy, tilted my head in apology. He knocked the FUCK out of my friend, justifiably so. We gave my knocked-out, dumbass friend's insurance to this guy. Shook hands, and that was it.
