Brief summary of the playoff standings: Current matchups: (1) Detroit vs (8) Orlando (5) Cleveland vs (4) Miami (3) Toronto vs (6) Washington (2) Chicago vs (7) New Jersey (1) Dallas vs (8) LA Clippers (4) Utah vs (5) Houston (3) San Antonio vs (6) Denver (2) Phoenix vs (7) LA Lakers Indiana is 1 game out of the 8 spot in the East, the Knicks are 3 out. Golden State is 2 down on the loss side for the 8 spot in the West, with the Hornets one game behind them. Dallas, Phoenix and San Antonio are locked into the top 3 seeds in the West, with Dallas needing just one win or Phoenix loss to clinch homecourt throughout the playoffs. Should Phoenix and San Antonio end up tied, San Antonio has the tiebreaker. Utah and Houston will play each other in the first round. Neither team can go any higher or lower than 4-5. Washington clinches a spot with a win or Indiana loss. That's all I've got for now. I'm going to bed.

No 70-win season for the Mavs. They lost their 13th game tonight, a thrilling 75-71 decision in Denver. Pacers move to within one game of 8th place and two games of 7th, winning in Charlotte behind Danny Granger's career-high 32 points on 11-14 shooting. Also, Toronto became the first East team to clinch a top-four seed, clinching their first-ever Atlantic division title.

Magnum Opus hits, and Alfdogg is showered with boos as he walks to the ring in his street clothes. COLE And it looks like Alf is going to join us here! Alf walks to the ring, barely acknowledging the fans, then climbs in and walks over to the other side, grabbing the mic from the timekeeper. COLE Alf came up short at AngleMania, losing to Thunderkid in a barbed-wire ladder match for the Heartland title! COACH He put up a hell of a fight though, you have to admit, Cole! COLE That he did, people will remember that match for a long time! Alf holds the mic in the center of the ring, pausing briefly. ALF First of all, my loss on Sunday has no influence on what I'm about to tell you people. Two of the toughest stars in the history of wrestling went toe-to-toe, and Thunderkid came out on top. *crowd cheers* ALF But despite that...what I'm about to tell you people has been in the making for several months. You see, for five years now, I've been through it all. I've fought through them all...and most importantly, I've beaten them all. Anglesault, CWM, Caboose, Tony Brannigan, Zack Malibu...you name him, I've beat him. *mixed reaction* ALF That's right, I've beaten them all. There's NO ONE LEFT. Which is why tonight, I come to you after five years, to say...it's over. COLE/COACH :o ALF That's right. I've got nothing left to prove in the OAOAST. I've been the World champion twice, something only the greatest of the great...and Drek Stone...can say. More Heartland titles than anyone has ever won. I've won the Lethal Rumble match, the list goes on and on! And frankly, there's nothing to add to it, so, once again...it's over. COACH I don't believe this, Cole! COLE Is Alf really walking out of the OAOAST? Alf lays the mic down in mid-ring and starts to leave. But as he climbs through the ropes... (voice from the aisleway) Whoa, whoa, you can't leave yet! Alf looks out, to see AXEL making his way towards the ring with a briefcase! COLE That looks like Axel, Coach! The camera gets a close-up shot of him. COACH That IS Axel, Cole! COLE But why? And what does he want with Alfdogg? AXEL You can't leave! You haven't made the big announcement yet! COACH But what could be bigger than Alf hanging up the boots? Alf grabs his mic again as Axel climbs into the ring. ALF Oh, THAT announcement. What was I thinking? All right, let me tell you people a little story. You see, a little over two years ago, I made a brief foray into the promoter business. CWM joined up with me, and together, we started up World Domination Wrestling, or WDW. At the first show, Rebirth, on December 26, 2004, WDW crowned its first World champion...yours truly. *crowd boos* ALF Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we were never able to get it off the ground after that. Alf mockingly hangs his head, and Axel pats him on the back. AXEL That's where I came in. Despite the hardship the fed had fallen on, Alf retained the rights to it. And a few months ago, after I was FORCED OUT by old man Watts and Anglesault, he officially sold me the fed, and I made him the promise that I would find the brightest young talent to rebuild the fed underground. And in just a few short weeks, WDW will resurface! *mixed reaction* AXEL And one last thing, Alf...I've got a little present for you. Axel opens up the briefcase, revealing a championship belt with "WDW" across it. (Funny note: I actually typed "WCW" at first.) A sly smile comes across Alf's face as Axel hands him the belt, and he drapes it across his shoulder. AXEL Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the longest reigning champion in the wrestling world...the WDW World heavyweight champion, ALFDOGG! *crowd boos* ALF That's right, over two years and counting...and it's JUST BEGINNING. Magnum Opus hits, and Alf and Axel depart the ring. COLE I don't know what to say, Coach! Apparently Alf has moved on from the OAOAST, and he and Axel have promised the come-uppance of World Domination Wrestling! COACH I don't know either, Cole, but anything powered by those two you can bet will be a serious force to be reckoned with! COLE And what's all this about Axel being forced out of office? I think Axel was just jealous that he didn't have full control anymore! COACH I don't know what to think anymore, Cole!

Actual PM from the Pit, which is still in my inbox.
-
He sent me a PM at the Pit asking for a name change. I thought it was weird, since he's banned, but I went ahead and did it anyway. I didn't figure it was a big deal, since you guys are so non-obsessed with him and all.

Right now, the only character I know for sure I'm not going to be using is Brock Ausstin. The other guys, I have minor roles planned for or would use them in one of my patented hardcore clusterfucks. And I'm going to repackage Felix Strutter, so he's off limits until further notice. I am still planning to do my big angle I discussed months ago, but due to time issues I'd have, I've been wrestling with whether or not to go through with it for weeks (Get it? LOL). I think the shows will just be centered around squash matches to establish the guys, with an actual match or two to headline. Sort of like the early RAWs. I'll announce the re-launch this week, but I'll probably wait a few weeks to start the actual shows. EDIT: Also, I am done with Ken Pantera for good. The stuff with him at AngleMania was to officially end the Team Canada angle, even though it's been running on fumes for months now. If someone else wants him, feel free, just keep in mind that he's still "recovering from surgery" right now.

Riggs/Wolfenstein: Solid opener with lots of quick, hard-hitting action. I liked it. Good segment with the Enterprise, as usual. They've got a big night ahead of them. Ending was good, as well, the .gif was a nice touch. Loved the tag title match. Several LOL moments to go with great action. Really enjoyed it. And proof that the OAOAST really breaks the bank to bring in the special guest celebrities, it's Stuart Scott! Good promo with the HR's. First title change of the night! Ashley put up a good fight, but the odds were just too much to overcome. Good bit from Big Frank. He doesn't appear to be taken back by Logan's bravado. Sin City Street Fight was my kind of match. Lots of fast paced, heavy-hitting action with lots of weaponry involved. And a Rick Martel sighting! Interested to see if the kiss at the end between Logan and Melody leads anywhere. Let's see HBK slide down from the roof of a DOME. Very good handicap match, the legends handled the odds as long as they could, but in the end it was VX's night. Good stuff. Can't go wrong with Whitesnake. Hot return match for Leon, as he came back seeking revenge and got it. That's what you want to see at the biggest show of the year. D*LUX was on a roll...until the Blonds bail? Leading, of course, to more goodness from the Enterprise. Jade Rodez, bought and paid for! A stunner, just as Tony said. Battle Royal time! Good match, but the real story is the end of Black T. Another AngleMania moment to remember, for sure. Tremendous X-title final. It was a nice run for DDD, but PRL's been in the zone, as were the Lightning crew tonight. I'd say after his run that DDD probably deserved a better sendoff than he got tonight, but I'll wait and see if a feud brews from this. I, like probably everyone else, was surprised that Drek retained here. Really good match, which did seem a little short, but given the problems we had with part of the match disappearing mysteriously, you can't really hold anything against them. This one isn't over, by a long shot.

Sadly, this was probably an isolated situation, as well. Not only was O'Neal out, but Foster had to leave early, as well. That's probably what led to Ike getting so much time. Anyway, Caron Butler broke his hand today. Probably done for the year. Which means the Wiz are probably one and done again, if they weren't already.
-
And without Jermaine O'Neal, no less! And what do you know...Ike Diogu actually gets some real minutes, and goes for 18/13.
-
Holy shit. The Pacers actually won.

Looking forward to a possible Suns/Clippers redux. Not that I wouldn't enjoy the Suns against Denver, but that was maybe the most exciting series last year, IMO.
-
I don't see how Jason Kidd's not on the "no-brainer" list. He has the third-most triple-doubles in history, and while he never won an MVP, he led the Nets to two Finals, something Garnett and Nash can't say (yet, at least).
-
As much as I feel bad for Carlisle, though, he must have caught Ike Diogu with his wife or something...the guy consistently produces when he gets minutes, but...he's not. It certainly doesn't help people's perception of the trade when the guy who was supposedly a deal-breaker in this thing is riding the bench in favor of Shawne Williams and Maceo Baston. I know we're doing bad right now, but it just irritates me that people are now saying "it's CLEAR now that GS made out better in trade", just because of our record since the All-Star break. Failing to mention, of course, the injury woes and brutally tough schedule we've had since then. Once we get through a full training camp with this team, I think we'll be fine. On the bright side, all this losing is getting us closer and closer to that top 10 lottery spot, which means we keep our first-rounder.
-
The Pacers lost by 8 to the Magic tonight. Earlier in the year, prior to the trade with Golden State, they lost a game to the Magic by a mere five points. Clearly we're seeing now that the Warriors are the big winners in this midseason trade, and the Pacers need to fire their coach and blow it up.

Willis would actually be the oldest player ever to play in a game.
