Hey, 2,432 posts, keep it down.

I've read stories in the past about people, usually athletes, drinking two cans of energy soda and then keeling over and dying. Are these just isolated incidents?

As long as they get in the playoffs, he'll likely finish right behind Dirk and Nash in the voting. I personally don't see anyone else cracking the top 3. EDIT: Maybe LeBron, but I'd vote for Kobe over him, myself.

I was being sarcastic, Ripper. Honestly, I do think Josh Smith is probably the frontrunner. The guy overall is just a freakish talent. I just thought Jermaine should be mentioned, because he has made improvements defensively this year. He's been competing for the league lead in blocks all year, and he doesn't just block them from the weak side. He's also a very good help defender. Marion's good, too, but I don't think he's the best defender on his team (that would be Raja Bell). But the league will probably give it to Bruce Bowen or someone.

MVP - Dirk. Sixth Man - Barbosa. David Lee is another name to throw out there, though, I think he's mostly come off the bench. And Danny Granger, before the big trade with GS. ROY - Roy. It's really not close. DPOTY - Jermaine O'Neal. If Ripper can pick his guys, so can I, dammit. COTY - Jerry Sloan. He's never actually won it before, has he? I think he deserves it once. For someone who hasn't been named, I'd throw Don Nelson's name out, as well. He's threatening to put the Golden State Warriors in the playoffs, for Christ's sake. Exec - B. Colangelo. Again, not really close. Most Improved - Kevin Martin. Some new names to throw out: Mo Williams, Tyson Chandler, Andre Igoudala (who particularly has been tearing it up since the trade).

Only lost 4 Sweet 16's, and only missing Wisconsin from my Elite 8. Still perfect in the South bracket.

Cato June has agreed to a three-year deal with Tampa Bay, according to his agent.

The Hoosiers should just yell really loud whenever they drive for a layup, and they'll get to the line every time. It's working for the Bruins. Of course, given the way we shot free throws tonight, that probably wouldn't have helped anyway. 7-1 on the day, losing only Washington State.

First loss of the day for me (Wazzou).
-
Here's a look at the Knick jerseys, for those still interested (or even at all interested in the first place)
-
Lost Villanova as well, so looks like I'll finish 24-8 in round 1, with only one Sweet 16 gone.
-
Well, I'll be damned. Miami has moved into a tie atop the Southeast.

2K7 is like that, too. I gave up a 50-pointer to Chris Paul, and even Daniel Gibson almost got 30 on me. Troy Murphy is incredbile on this game, btw. He's an assassin from three-point range, and a beast on the boards. He also won the aforementioned Cleveland game for me almost single-handedly after I trailed by 10 with a minute left.
-
So far today I've lost Arizona, GA Tech, and my first Sweet 16, Illinois.
-
I still like Paul, for now. He's better defensively, and can have the big scoring nights when he needs to. Plus, he's carrying a much bigger load than Williams is right now with Boozer and Okur to help out.
