Darrell Armstrong just made a 3/4 court shot with 00.5 on the clock. Awesome shot. However, they trail by 16 at the half thanks to 61% shooting from the Raptors, including 14 of their first 15 shots in a 40-point second quarter.

Wow, the Heat are a bunch of bitches. I'm glad their season is down the shitter.

I'd wager the Bulls have as good of a chance as any of the non-Detroit teams in the East. I'll get my first good look at Toronto tommorrow as they play the Pacers, but I don't really see another team that stands out. EDIT: Obviously I don't mean any team in the East, but rather the probable playoff-bound ones. I'd include Chicago, Cleveland, Toronto, Indiana, Washington in that group. And of course Miami if they can still get in.

Ric Bucher said that last night, the Lakers and Nets both thought they had a deal worked out for Kidd, one that apparently didn't include Bynum. Then Thorn this morning decided that he had to have Bynum or there was no deal. And in regards to fantasy, my season in that league is down the tubes thanks to Wade's injury. I'm doing very well in H2H leagues, however.

Toronto trades Fred Jones to Portland for Juan Dixon.
-
According to Chad Ford, Dallas has traded Anthony Johnson to the Hawks for a second-round pick.
-
Got this one from HoopsHype: The Suns have offered Raja Bell, Kurt Thomas, and the Hawks' first-rounder (obtained in the Joe Johnson trade) for Kidd.
-
Is there something I'm missing here? If not, that's pretty shitty of Detroit fans to boo a guy who was never given a chance to contribute by his coaches.
-
Pacers beat Milwaukee 136-129 in double OT. Excellent performances from O'Neal, Granger and Daniels, offsetting 38 from Michael Redd in his second game back.

David Aldridge pretty much said tonight that Bynum's the deal-breaker.
-
Impressive showing by the Suns tonight. Got to see a little more of their depth, and Pat Burke had a real nice showing. That flagrant call on Brand was bullshit, btw. I'm really tired of this "that guy hit the ground really hard, it must be a flagrant!" crap. Stu Jackson was sitting in the crowd, so hopefully he does the right thing and overturns it.
-
One stat from ESPN over the weekend: No team has ever gone into the All-Star game with an equal or greater record than Dallas (44-9) and failed to win the championship.
-
Is there a particular article you're referring to, bob?
-
And games like that are why I never count out the Spurs.
-
But don't you think there's a certain degree of difficulty in trying to finish an oop and slap a sticker high up on the board at the same time? Nate's dunks weren't all that hard. A one-handed toss dunk, and taking it out of Lee's hands and doing a 180. If he's 6 inches taller, those dunks don't get him to the finals.
-
btw, I picked Jason Kapono to win tonight.
-
If Green can clear the cardboard cutout without moving it or knocking it over, THAT's a 50. Howard's dunk wasn't "OMG BEST DUNK EVER~" material or anything, but it should have been enough to make the finals. The judges really took me out of the contest, that was ridiculous. I think the last 50 was given just so someone got a 50, not really because the dunk was outstanding or anything.
-
OK, this is primarily for 909 and other Laker fans. I can't believe no one here's touched on this yet, but since the rumors are being discussed on TNT right now, what would you be willing to give up for Jason Kidd?
-
Nope, he got it! 30 points, 11 boards, 4 assists.
-
What's amazing is he's 14-14 from the field and has 30 points, and probably still won't get MVP.
-
Reggie Bush just rolled his ankle in the All-Star celebrity game.

They slowly get back to their feet, and Fly backs into the ropes and hits Richards with a dropkick, sending him out to the floor. He again tries the springboard bodypress, but this time is able to catch himself on the apron, as Richards has already slid back in, hitting Fly with a dropkick of his own and sending him back to the floor! COLE What action in this match! Richards slowly rolls to the outside and grabs Fly, then rolls him back into the ring. He sizes him up from behind, his arms outstretched. COACH Uh-oh, he could be setting up for the chicken wing! Richards starts to hook it, but Fly spins out and executes an armdrag! He tries a quick dropkick, but Richards moves out of the way, then delivers a dropkick of his own to the back as Fly sits on the mat! COLE Both of these men so quick, both mentally and physically! Richards picks up Fly and backs him into a corner, then delivers a CHOP~! Crowd: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~! And another! Crowd: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~! Richards delivers a right hand, and Fly returns fire! They trade another pair of right hands, then Fly spins Richards around in the corner and delivers a flurry, then a CHOP~! of his own! Crowd: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~! He whips Richards across, then charges with a front flip, but Richards moves out of the way, and Fly gets caught in a tree of woe!
