I've read the Bulls and Knicks are interested in Harrington, and Minnesota will go after Joel Przybilla, who is a local there. I'll try to scoop up some more stuff.

    NBA Most Valuable Player

Re: Billups You say the Pistons don't win a championship without him...you can say the same for either Wallace. Who really thought the Pistons would even come out of the East that year before trading for Rasheed, much less win the title. And if they don't make the Hill for Wallace trade, Hill probably becomes the East's Kevin Garnett.

    NBA Most Valuable Player

My top 5 was Dirk, LeBron, Nash, Kobe, Wade, in that order. And since there are only votes for the top 5, no, Arenas doesn't get a vote. I was just pointing out he was in my top 10.

And Gilbert Arenas. I completely forgot about him. I kind of feel bad about it, too, as I've become a huge fan of his this year, and was really pulling for them to beat the Cavs.

According to ESPN.com, there's been talks going around of a Kenyon Martin-for-Zach Randolph swap.

    NBA Most Valuable Player

The one player I had in my top 10 that is absent from this list is Pau Gasol. Him and Garnett were the only guys with at least 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists per game, and with no other star players around him, landed a top 5 spot in the West. As an *all-around* player, I don't think anyone improved his game more than he did, aside from Diaw. I think he's in the Billups/Wade/Brand territory.

This was what I was referring to, but I was wondering about the piece you posted, too, so thanks.

    TSM 2006 NBA Playoffs thread

Kobe Bryant, right now, is the most talented player in the NBA. I'm not going to pretend that I'm sad to see him go out, but I won't deny him that. I definitely think he'll win more titles before he hangs them up. And the "head grab" that he does...a lot of players do that. Tim Duncan, for example, does this a lot. With all that said, though, I'd like to know what "media" told the story that way, as I've never heard it put like that aside from conversation on this board and with some friends. Also, when was it determined that Brad Miller was a "pussy". When he played here, he was anything but. If they're talking trade, I'd love to see him back. Pollard is always hurt, Harrison can't stay on the floor for 30 seconds without getting into foul trouble (and that's NOT sarcasm), and Foster, who is already undersized, always manages to get hurt and miss the first part of the year. Having Brad back would take considerable pressure off Jermaine.

To be fair, we really don't need Jones's ego swelling up any more than it is. That guy's got to have the biggest ego-to-talent ratio of anyone in any of the four major sports.

    Brock Ausstin

Otaku II will be back in June, and we're going to resume Brock/Otaku from there, but until then, I'd like to get someone to do a mini-program for School's Out, because I have a PPV-themed match I want to do.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

I feel pretty much the same way you do about the NJ/Mia series, I just think that Shaq finally played the way everyone thought he would in the playoffs in that last game, and if he maintains that, it goes the Heat's way. Not trying to sound bitter about the first round, but Shaq will get a lot of the calls that didn't go Jermaine's way in the first round, which I think will make a huge difference even if Krstic continues to put up his numbers. Like you said, though, Miami has attitude problems, and if we see the Heat teams we saw in Games 3 & 4 in Chicago at any point in this series, they're going down.

    I have an announcement.

I never lived there, my mom has two sisters that live up there. I don't ride roller coasters anymore...I don't know how I rode them when I was a kid, I've always been afraid of heights. The log flume is about as adventerous as it gets for me anymore.

I've been to Valleyfair once...I think I was like 9 or 10. I rode Excalibur, can't remember if I rode the Corkscrew or not.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

I think the Suns have to win the first two games to win the series. If the Clippers get one of the first two in Phoenix, which I think will happen, I don't think the Suns will recover from that again. I can't really put a finger on why I feel that way, to be perfectly honest, but that's just how I see it going down. As for the Pistons/Cavs, I just think the Pistons have gotten in their heads too much. LeBron *might* be good enough to get 1, but there's no way in hell this goes more than 5. EDIT: And even though I picked the Spurs for the series, I think Dallas takes Game 1. Rest over rust.
