This is directed to everyone, not just at Ripper Everyone complains about the basketball channels being all over the Lakers and Kobe or whatever...well, the "Kobe show" has eaten up about the last 10 pages of this thread, with some of the news items being dragged up from 3 or 4 years ago. Guess what? Halftime's over now, and there's a very intriguing game going on in Miami. There was a very good game in New Jersey that just ended for those who have NBATV. The Kings and Spurs are playing right now. The majority of us don't want to talk about Sunday anymore, or the Kings-Lakers series, or the rape trial. It's becoming the Sports folder version of Montreal. The Lakers won, and Kobe is a free man. Get the fuck over it, and let's get back to current events.

Haha. I'm really starting to wish that we took the Maggette trade instead, though, regardless of his injuries. Peja's already missed two games in this series, and early indications are he's not playing tonight, either. Plus there's still the chance that he doesn't even stick around beyond this year.

I agree that it would be in better interest for the Pistons for the Cavs to win. I think the Cavs are too soft for the Pistons, and I can't see a series between them going more than five games. The Wizards, while they wouldn't win, would have people scratching their heads, much like the Heat/Bulls series.

I think the Nuggets-Clippers series is a good example of what Suns-Lakers would be if Kobe played like he did in the regular season. Carmelo can't carry a team in any other way than shooting the ball every time, and it's not working for him, and that series is probably over tonight.
