That guy really didn't say anything we didn't already know. The difference between Curry and Sweetney is that Curry is a true center, which is the very thing they've been lacking since they traded Ewing away. And let's face it, the Jerome James deal was awful and he alone wasn't the key to getting back to that kind of success. If they end up hanging onto AD, the trade gets even better because he brings a lot of playoff experience and is still very much capable of a double-double on any given night.

'07's going to be a pretty awesome FA class, at least compared to the two years preceding it. In addition to LeBron/Wade/Carmelo/Bosh, there are quite a few big names that have player options, as well. This, of course, is assuming they don't all sign extensions like Yao did and supposedly Amare is ready to.

I wonder if the Pacers could make a splash that year. Croshere and Bender both come off, which has got to be close to $20 million just between those two.

According to InsideHoops, the Knicks' contract year players are Thomas (who was traded), Hardaway, and Ariza.

Houston has another year left yet after this one, I think.

Something I don't get. A lot of people like to say how sick they are of seeing or hearing about Yanks/Sox, yet many of those same people seem repulsed at the idea of a WS that doesn't involve one of those two teams. My vote: Move one of the teams to the National league, that way we can have the same WS EVERY FUCKIN' YEAR, and no one can complain about any of the other 28 teams possibly getting a chance to win anything. That would at least solve my confusion.

A lot of mileage must be putting it mildly. My NES still works and I've had it since I was 7.
