Pacers beat the Nets to clinch a playoff spot, and the Bulls lose as well which puts us within one game of the 4 seed.

Seeing some of these HBK drones get all upset over this is entertaining. Yeah, how pathetic that they remember the actual finishes of the matches and the ramifications, instead of just assuming "well, Shawn jobbed, so therefore he elevated the guy". I'm sure in your eyes Shawn "elevated" Daivari on RAW, right?

Is the 2005 PWI Wrestling Almanac out yet?
alfdogg replied to haws bah gawd's topic in General Wrestling
I checked for it last night, actually, with no luck. -
The main two things I was thinking of was adding the third bench spot back in and shortening the waiver period.

Where Michaels lasted all of 30 seconds before being tossed by...Hogan. Warrior eliminated Michaels

I assume they're not on *bad* terms, as the WWE has tried to bring him back since, but I'm pretty sure the problem was Shamrock wanted a lighter schedule and they weren't willing to give it to him.

Current matchups look like this East -1- Miami vs -8- Cleveland (Lebron vs Wade, the REAL c/o/2003 matchup) -2- Detroit vs -7- Philadelphia -3- Boston vs -6- Washington -4- Chicago vs -5- Indiana Chicago would have homecourt over Boston should they meet. West -1- Phoenix vs -8- Memphis -2- San Antonio vs -7- Denver -3- Seattle vs -6- Houston -4- Dallas vs -5- Sacramento Dallas would have homecourt over Seattle should they meet. I'll do more detailed playoff predictions once they start, but I'd have a hard time betting against Phoenix right now.

I'll be writing an interview segment. What arena will this be taking place in.

Of course they do, when we're without 60% of our starters. Way to go out on a limb there. And the Knicks did play a hard-fought game, I will say that, but the Pacers could have played much better than they did. That's what I was really upset about, and I overreacted with my post.

Yeah, and that'll be all that's needed for the Pacers after today's game. What a fucking disgrace. The Bulls ought to sweep us right out of the first round after that showing. Seriously, KURT FUCKING THOMAS sends it into OT with a 3 pointer, then with all the bodies we've signed to compensate for Jermaine O'Neal, none of them can figure out to box out Sweetney for the game-winning tip at the buzzer, and the result is a loss to the motherfucking KNICKS in a race for homecourt in the first round. Absolutely embarassing.

Al, what would you like to do for the playoffs, as far as threads go? Would a thread for each series work, or perhaps one for each conference and then the finals?
-
Yeah, and now they have to suffer through the BoSox and the Pats. That must suck.

Can a Afro American ever be a big main eventer?
alfdogg replied to Team Angle Pusher's topic in The WWE Folder
You tell him. -
From what I remember, he challenged Duggan to a match for it in 2000 right after Duggan pulled it out of the trash, and then like a couple weeks later he was in the WWF. That's probably wrong, but I remember this happening.

Why was the LOD on RAW in 03 against RVD/Kane?
-
Yeah, it was pretty obvious she was being sarcastic, you guys.
-
Also, with the Lakers' elimination from the playoffs this year, that means the Pacers are now tied with the Spurs for the longest active streak of playoff appearences with 8.
-
And the last game of the season: Bulls at Pacers.
-
Man, who knew that when the Pacers played Cleveland, Chicago and Washington in April that those games would all have a huge bearing on playoff positioning.
-
Pacers beat Washington for their 6th in a row and pull into the 5 spot. Two games now separate the Pacers from homecourt in the first round.
