Civilized human being talk (because Dr Tom asked)
alfdogg replied to Slayer's topic in Site Feedback
The mods are fine. Quit whining, fags. -
...and then ICE COLD MARK MADSEN~ makes a swinging shot at the buzzer.

KISS is the only band I've ever seen live, and we've got countless CD's around the house.

I would agree. As a Pacer fan, we obviously had more heated rivalries with the Bulls, but I have far more respect for them. They were simply that good...I do take pride, though, in the Pacers having their only full 7-game series during their second three-peat.
-
That's the spirit. Now that the Spurs are out, I will hop aboard the Indiana bandwagon. Go Pacers! Welcome aboard. It's been a long, lonely ride...

That's the spirit.

Oh, ok - Sass told me in jest that AoO reset it because he is an asshole. I didn't think that Choken had hit 20,000 yet. I was joking, obviously. Agent did reset it.

This thread must stay. EDIT: Even better.

This is probably a dumb question, but how do you save a topic to your hard drive?
-
I'd be more partial to a Johnson-Griffey reunion, myself.

Ratings may count to the NBA. But they probably don't matter to the majority of the people in this thread...which was the whole point of me saying that. We're talking about the teams and their play. And if you seriously think an NBA Finals that includes Kevin Garnett will be "pretty unwatched", you're delusional. It would be a great story, going from never winning a series to the NBA Finals in one year.

Pacers, 1994 East Finals: We had a 3-2 lead on the Knicks, but lost on our home floor. Then in game 7, the following happened in the FINAL MINUTE: Ewing fouls Dale Davis on his lead-taking dunk, which would have been his 6th, no call. Ewing (who should have been fouled out) tips in Starks' miss - clearly basket interference - no call. Reggie goes for the intentional foul on Starks to send him to the line, and it gets called a flagrant, putting it out of reach for good and putting those pesky small-marketers in their place. Colts: 1996 (?) AFC Final vs Pittsburgh, a Pittsburgh player is clearly out of bounds on a touchdown call in the first half. That play was the reason instant replay was instituted. We ended up losing by 3 or 4.

"God forbid I have a difference of opinion."

What a little shit. I hope you get sent to the Bobcats. I remember that now. What's more pathetic, is that the Charlotte front office gave into the demands of a HIGH SCHOOLER. And this is in the day when people didn't know who these kids were until they declared eligibility...they weren't on ESPN and being talked about on SC their entire senior year.
-
I forget what year it was, but we traded for George McGinnis, who was at the end of his career. In exchange...we sent Alex English to the Nuggets. Also, we couldn't have forseen it at the time, but we originally had the pick that was used by Portland to draft Sam Bowie. (If you don't get it you'd better ask somebody.) Discuss. EDIT: I'm talking about the Pacers, btw.

This series is not impossible, though it is unlikely, for the Spurs to win...we were in the same situation in '94, up 3-2 on the Knicks going home, and lost the series. The Spurs were also on the short end of a buzzer-beater in last year's playoffs, and responded by winning two straight. I think the Lakers will win, but it's not "delusional" to think that there's hope for the Spurs.
-
First off, we come to this thread to talk about BASKETBALL GAMES...not the fucking Neilsens for the Finals. This isn't the WWE. Start a new fucking thread for that shit if you're so obsessed with it. As far as Spurs-Lakers go, I think whoever wins tonight's game will win the series.

Here I've already got $5 down on it for GC...I'll have it on June 23, when it's released at GameStop (FuncoLand, Babbages, etc) stores in Indianapolis. Discuss.

Differing opinions are more than welcome. It's how people express those differing opinions that gets them bashed. If you say something like You probably wil get bashed. And yes, that was an actual quote posted in a thread in this very folder. There are plenty of HHH fans here who can distribute intelligent opinions. But the majority of them (at least when I frequented the folder) will simply respond to you with flamebaiting or some other comment that adds nothing of worth. Of course, you can't bash them back or it's "omg im sory i haev differnt opinyon u fag~" or some similar comment. There are plenty of people here who don't like Benoit or like DeMott who are liked by the posters. And it's the same on both sides of the fence, there are people who are fans of the favorite wrestlers here who add nothing and post the same tired out argument over and over again. Most know who I'm talking about, I won't mention them by name. It's funny though, people bitch about how bad the mods are...yet when one tries to crack down in the WWE folder...more bitching. Slayer isn't the first to voice disdain in this folder over nik.

Yeah, Jermaine voiced concerns about that as well. He's been talking about pulling out for a while because of his back though.
-
As of RIGHT NOW, the Olympic team consists of Karl Malone Jason Kidd Tim Duncan Jermaine O'Neal Allen Iverson Tracy McGrady Mike Bibby LeBron James Shawn Marion Amare Stoudemire Richard Jefferson Stephon Marbury Kidd, Malone, and O'Neal have all hinted that they may pull out...but hell this roster could be 2/3 different by Monday.

Well, they won. Drop it. Everyone else has. HOLY SHIT...I just read that Szczerbiak is going to play tonight.
-
Is Sprewell still alive? I've heard nothing about him in this series.
-
Hopefully with that, we can move on now... Nets/Pistons and Kings/Wolves tonight...predictions?

No doubt. Which is why I rarely go to the YMCA anymore.
