I really hate to be a bother about this, but I would really like to know what Roy and Fokai's status is and who their keepers are before setting up next year's league.

I thought those two were slightly above that group, but now I think it's unquestionable, in terms of body of work. It's kind of bothered me a bit all season, though, that I don't recall anyone referring to Ray Allen as a future HOFer before he was traded to one of the league's "darling" teams. But now that he's a Celtic it's "Oh, there's NO QUESTION that this guy is going in."

Yeah, for some reason I forgot that Dirk won the MVP last year. In that case, I think he's got to go if Zo and Dikembe go. As far as Nash goes, it's easy to dismiss him after just looking at his numbers and the fact that he's never been to the Finals, but if you look deeper, he has spear-headed an offense that attracted a lot of casual fans to the game and changed the blueprint for the way a number of teams built their rosters. I personally think the ripple effect has done as much bad as it has good, but I'm in the extreme minority on that opinion, and it has brought a lot of excitement to the game for the people who feel the opposite. I've never subscribed to the whole "he couldn't make the Finals, so he should have to wait his turn" theory. If your team is consistently in contention as the Suns have been, I think that should be enough, provided you don't do an Al Harrington and just completely disappear in the postseason.

Of today's active players, these are the guys I would definitely put in first ballot. No particular order, just going down the list of teams. If Randolph is gone by the time Sacramento picks, they could instead go with Roy Hibbert. Ford says Portland is trying to trade the #12, but if they have no luck, they're looking at Joe Alexander and Russell Westbrook. If both of those guys are gone, they would go with Rush. Rush is also the guy Phoenix is looking at, but he is projected to be off the board by then. Orlando is deciding between Courtney Lee, Chris Douglas-Roberts, and Jason Thompson. Lee is said to be the favorite of Orlando GM Otis Smith. note from me: Roy Hibbert has been projected as Utah's pick in all of Ford's previous mocks, so he could be the guy there if he's still around. Other considerations for Detroit are D.J. White of Indiana and Bill Walker of K-State. Serge Ibaka and Ante Tomic are not expected to join an NBA roster right away.
