BTW, the Knicks were just two points shy of the all-time record for points in an overtime, set in 1996 by New Jersey against the Clippers. The Nets shot sixty free throws in the game, to just 25 for the Clippers. Jayson Williams went for 28/24.
-
How do you give up 23 points in an overtime period. For shame, Washington.
-
Dropped out of the top six with last week's loss, but got some good news today as Elton Brand says he definitely plans on playing this season. Why he would try to come back this season when the Clips are clearly out of it is questionable, but for fantasy purposes I'll take it.

Corned beef, cauliflower, and parsnips.

I'm considering naming my firstborn D.J. White.

As long as Carter doesn't end up on the Pacers, I'm all for it.

I don't see how Butler would be much of an upgrade over Odom, honestly. I would have tried to make one last run at Jason Kidd. It would be a pretty dumb trade for Washington though, since as mentioned Odom plays the same position Jamison does.

I thought this said Mae Young. But then we already know about her right?

Also, the Jason Kidd deal is back on. Trenton Hassell is going to the Nets, and they're going to sign Van Horn to go into the deal in place of Stackhouse and George. Heard this on the radio on the way home tonight.

Ray Allen should have been MVP. Best All-Star game in a while, though.

Ewing was drafted two years before Jackson. The article said the Hawks and Wizards had longer streaks, but I looked all three teams up, and the Wizards alone have drafted Tom Gugliotta, Rasheed Wallace and Rip Hamilton since then. The Hawks technically drafted Pau Gasol in 2001, but they were drafting him for Memphis, so if you don't count that they haven't drafted one since Kevin Willis in 1984.
-
I'm sure people will laugh at this, but I'd say the Knicks are as good a bet as any team.
-
Also, how must LeBron James feel right now knowing that even the Atlanta Hawks can take a package headlined by Shelden Williams and turn it into Mike Bibby, and Cleveland hasn't done shit. That's tremendous.
-
I just read that the Hoosiers might hire Scott Skiles to replace Kelvin Sampson.
-
I just read that the last time the Knicks drafted a player that went on to become an All-Star, for any team, was 1987 (Mark Jackson). That's insane.
-
I thought the fact that he didn't pop the cake off the rim was more impressive. That's not as good as Dwight Howard's dunk, though.

To me, the major race for the title involves the Spurs, Suns, Lakers, Celtics, and Pistons. I really don't see any other team breaking through that group at this point, although I want to see the Suns play with Shaq to be sure about them. I think they're going to miss Marion sorely in the long run. Shaq's "defense presence " that the so-called experts keep harping on consists of commiting flagrant fouls on nearly every play and getting by with it from the refs. Aside from that, he hasn't been any good defensively for years. People see a high shot-blocking average and automatically think "good defender", but that's not always the case.
-
Daniel Gibson the MVP of the Rookie game, scoring 33 points on 11 three-pointers.

The way I read it was they'd still allow the trade, but just wouldn't let Stackhouse go back to Dallas. And then Cuban said he wouldn't do the trade if Stackhouse couldn't come back.
