I'm thinking that for a nice night out, he goes to Denny's. No. Applebee's.
-
Just 17 turnovers between both teams. Impressive.

Gotta side with Roy here. The Celtics were in the pickle they were in the last couple years at the hands of Ainge, not Rivers. Rivers is a pretty good coach, although personally I can't stand the guy. However, the Celtics had made the playoffs three straight years when he got there, so to say he "led" them to the playoffs is somewhat misleading. And since I'm sure someone will say "but they went from the 8 seed to the 3 seed!" They won the weakest division in basketball, and that was only after Antoine Walker fell into their laps at the trade deadline. I'm not much a fan of Walker myself, but what did Pierce ever do without him? Nothing. BTW, you guys are forgetting Adam Vinateri on Bledsoe Island.

Even before this deal, I thought this team could beat anyone in the West aside from San Antonio and maybe Dallas. This just might be enough to win them a title right now. And they still have the pieces to go get Jason Kidd if they want to.

Hey, New England fans. Try being a Colts fan and surviving in these threads for the last five years, with Cartman and Jango and about 25 other of their kind waiting to pounce with every "chokejob" in the playoffs or every loss to the Pats, and then tell me how "tiresome" the Patriot hate is. Until then, stfu.

Now. Nothing against Monta Ellis, but...that's a long way to go to clear up cap space for MONTA ELLIS.
-
BTW, what's up with all these players sporting mohawks all of a sudden? Al Harrington last year for a while, Damon Jones, and now Amare has one. I'm not sure I want to see this trend pick up.

The ball does not lie. //Sheed Hopefully this game shuts up all the "THE SPURS ARE FINALLY BREAKING DOWN" talk for a while.
-
Fuck you, Jason Terry.
-
Well, here are the reserves: East: Chris Bosh Caron Butler Paul Pierce Chauncey Billups Richard Hamilton Joe Johnson Antawn Jamison West: Steve Nash Chris Paul Dirk Nowitzki Carlos Boozer Amare Stoudemire Brandon Roy David West
-
The Bobcats have signed Earl Boykins for the rest of the season.
-
I think it's Nate McMillian, and it's really not that close. The only others I would even consider at this point are Stan Van Gundy and (to a lesser extent) Byron Scott.
-
Rookie challenge rosters Rookies: Al Horford, Hawks Luis Scola, Rockets Mike Conley, Grizzlies Juan Carlos Navarro, Grizzlies Yi Jianlian, Bucks Sean Williams, Nets Kevin Durant, Sonics Jeff Green, Sonics Jamario Moon, Raptors Sophomores: Rajon Rondo, Celtics Daniel Gibson, Cavs Jordan Farmar, Lakers Rudy Gay, Grizzlies LaMarcus Aldridge, Blazers Brandon Roy, Blazers Andrea Bargnani, Raptors Ronnie Brewer, Jazz Paul Millsap, Jazz

Well, the last few years the NBA has done a good job of not letting the All-stars leak out before their official announcement, but apparently Joe Johnson is going, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution. Which means no Josh Smith, highly unlikely they'd vote in two players from the Hawks. I would have rather seen Smith, myself, Johnson's numbers are down from last year and Smith is putting up his best.

First guy to come to mind was John Stockton. After some research, you've also got West & Baylor, Elvin Hayes, Clyde Drexler, & Patrick Ewing. It's really close, but I think I'll go with Jerry West. Re: HOF: Adrian Dantley is the first guy that comes to mind. All he really has working against him is that he never won a title, and he'd have that too had he not been run out of Detroit in 1989. Re: Best college team: I'll say UCLA, 1972. 30-0, with an average victory margin of 30.3 points. Who would you rather have seen win a SB: Dan Marino or Barry Sanders? -
Damon Stoudamire will sign with the Spurs once he clears waivers, according to ESPN.

I'd go Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Hakeem, and Shaq, in that order. Kareem, on top of being a key piece of the Laker dynasty, also led the Bucks, a third-year expansion team, to 66 wins and a title in his second season. And he had very little around him aside from a declining Oscar Robertson. I think he was a better defensive player than Shaq, as well, and Hakeem was a much defensive player and arguably a more well-rounded offensive player, as well. -
According to ESPN, the deal is off for now, but the Bergen report apparently was wrong. Diop was not in the deal, and Dallas was getting Jamaal Magloire instead of Darrell Armstrong. And the Nets would buy out Stackhouse after the deal was done. On Portland's side, that seems like an awful lot to give up for Devin Harris, but I don't think it's that horrible for the other two teams. I know we're all supposed to hate Dallas now because they lost to Golden State, but I don't see how this doesn't make them an immediate threat to a title. Yeah, Kidd can't shoot, but Harris isn't exactly Mark Price. Kidd doesn't have to score to make his team better. Losing Stackhouse would hurt more in this case than Harris, honestly. And New Jersey gets three really good pieces for their future and some expiring deals.

This is the proposed deal, according to the Bergen Record http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trad...cash=17:6~17:22 The Nets would also receive a #1 pick from each team, and they also said the Blazers would be getting player(s) from the Mavs.
