Except for the fact that Shelton's not a main eventer... And, in reality, HHH hasn't put anyone over since when he semi-jobbed to Benjamin in their first match.

Whats your favourite sports memory of all time?

NFL: Jacksonville raping the Phin's in Marino's final game in the 99 playoffs. I couldn't stop laughing at how dejected Dan seemed to be on the sidelines after they took him out. Jacksonville getting all the way to the AFC Championship when no one gave them a hope in hell in 96 since they had only existed for one year. NBA: Jordan. Ehlo. Game winner. I must have done that Jordan hop and fist-pumping a thousand times that day. The Bulls finally beating the Pistons in the playoffs to go to the Finals and win their first championship against LA in 91. LA getting destroyed in the Finals against Detroit in both 89 and 04. I wasn't a fan of either team, but seeing LA getting massarced holds a special place in my heart. Minnesota making it to the Conference Finals this year despite everyone thinking that Sacto would beat them. MLB: The Braves winning the WS in 95. As a long suffering Braves fan who sat through them losing to the Twins, it just felt sweet. The Braves sweeping the Mets in 99 to bounce them out of the playoffs. The Yankees getting beat by small ball in 2002 and an amazing performance by Josh Beckett on 3 days' rest in 2003. College: Alabama kicking Miami's punkasses in the Sugar Bowl to win the National Title in 92. After reading all the shit that the Miami players were talking in the days leading up to the game, the victory was that much sweeter. Alabama beating top-ranked Stanford and the defending national champion Syracuse in the NCAA Tourney to advance to the Elite 8 when everyone was saying we should have never even been in the tourney to begin with. Kentucky beating Syracuse to win the NCAA Title in 96. Even more sweeter by the fact that I won 150 bucks in a betting pool with some friends from school. -
I like both series, but Inuyasha can get pretty tiresome after Naraku's introduced into the story(which is relatively early on) and the fact that HE'S STILL ALIVE really grates on my nerves. They either need to find a new villian or end the damend series at some point because it's getting really DBZ-ish with all the filler crap and meaningless stalling. So, I say go with Records(even if Parn's a bit of a bitch early on and Spark won't shut the hell up at times).

Okay, til I get some answers on what the hell went down here, this thread is closed.

When I saw the thread title, I knew it had to be those big ass Japanese hornets. Man, I'll tell you what... If I ever saw just ONE of those things coming toward me, I'll run like a lil bitch. Oh MAN... that'd be fucked up beyond all belief. You could drop about a thousand of 'em from planes in jars or cages with a time-activated release lock and fuck shit up...

Wait, you complain about Bama and don't mention Auburn? Auburn lost so much talent on defense it's not even funny. Throw in the fact that Jason Campbell sucks ass and it's a wonder that Auburn was ranked too. Besides the point, however... pre-season polls are useless and always have been. Hey Dama? Mind posting the write up on Alabama while I'm thinking about it?

No one was complaining about the WWE catering to the local crowds, though.

Turbo Teen was pretty painful to watch at times. At times, it was decent, but most of the time it was boring as fuck since it was the 80's and damn near everything was predictable back then.

Why the hell was this bumped?

Flair/Vader was 11 years ago and overrated as hell, regardless. Flair/Steamboat in 94 was a pale shadow compared to their 89 series. Also, there's no WWE match of his I can think of that I'd consider "great". Not the even the WM 18 match or that HHH match from last year that people jizzed themselves for no reason other than the hot crowd. Heh. I'm sure even NC fans would boo Flair if he said he liked iB...

The last Flair/Benoit match made me want to cringe. Having them main event WM and having it last longer than 8 minutes would probably be sheer torture. Flair's been pretty much crap for over a decade now, it's time for people to seperate the myth from the reality and grasp the fact that he can't go anymore and hasn't been able to for the longest.

HUH? The friggin' Spurs couldn't win *their* division, either, yet they're BETTER? I'm not a Detroit fan by any stretch of the imagination, but this year's Spurs team was soft as hell when it came to teams getting phsyical with them(case in point, Tony Parker after Game 2 of the LA series). I mean, really now, what dumbass would take SA's starting 5 over Detroit's? Anybody? Granted, Duncan is a better player than all of Detroit's frontcourt, but he can't do it himself and the rest of his team is too damned spotty to help him out when he needs it the most. Someone tell Bill to put the crackpipe down before he starts writing next time.

What's really scary about this is that I saw an actual porno that did this...
-
Alright, people... Keep it civil.
-
If that ever happens, they should make it a poster.

I'd pay good money to see Scott beat the piss out of Smith. Hell, while we're at it, how about someone knock off Tom Tolbert as well?

Is Rogue as powerful in the comics as she was on the famous 90s X-Men cartoon series? If so she can definitely turn the tide against the Justice League if she's put on the X-Men side. Up until she lost her powers along with Gambit, she was. Really, I think if Rouge could get a decent grip on Supes without getting thrown off, she'd take him down, if not kill him if she held on too long. Hell, you could have Havok suck the solar energy out of Supes' body much like he did against Hulk 10 years ago(although he didn't actually beat Hulk then, however). Damn... now that I think about it, if you assembled the right team of X-Men, they could possibly wipe the floor with the JLA. Creepy...

Actually, people have said that about Flair for years, CWM.

Exactly where are these mind-blowing Christian matches you speak of? The Jericho feud, as a whole, is decidedly mediocre and that's WITHOUT Christian chinlocking the crowd into boredom. Again, where are these "great" matches you speak of? The Booker, RVD, and initial Edge feuds were mediocre to awful, and the Jericho feud had ceased being entertaining a while back in addition to the matches being above average at best. :::: watches Eddy/Edge again :::: Of course I can. Christian's a bad singles worker, always has been and always will be.

Tim Duncan? He's the first one that sprang to my mind, but look at the others. Zuh? I thought Duncan played 4 years at Wake Forest?

Eh, the Jericho ladder match is on the Rumble 2001 DVD, so there's no need for it to be an extra(just like the Angle RR 2003 shouldn't be, either). Personally, I'd have slapped on either both the Austin matches or the Power Trip tag title match and Benoit/Malenko from Hog Wild 96(or that really good Guerrero match from RAW in 2001 when he turned on the Radicalz). -
I'd like to see a valid argument that states how Mike Williams isn't ready for the NFL yet. I really, REALLY would...

With Speedball's kinetic field, I doubt Changling could get in a knockout shot on him, so I'd give that match-up to Speedy. Hell, I'm pretty sure he could jump offa building and the kinetic field would protect him(although the only time I saw him try it was when Thrasher's buddy gave him that serum that was supposed to analyze his powers or something and it also kinda "deactivated" them for a time).
