Ummm... I already addressed that, Zsasz. I'm asking for another reason. -
The Return of Hal Jordon as Green Lantern
AlwaysPissedOff replied to Steviekick's topic in Literature
Exactly how was it BS? Coast City got oblitherated and Hal was supposed to feel all happy about it? About the only thing I had a problem with was that they went through it too fast and should have just had Hal go slowly insane and then finally snap. Superman and Batman won't be as close to being completely dropped as a DC title like GL was in the 90's before Kyle took over. I don't see how considering that no one will trust him ever again and if he reverts back to 60-70-80's-era Hal, I could see the book failing again. I'm complaining about DC copping out and bowing down like lil bitches. They invested 10 years in Kyle and didn't even give him a decent creative team, but they go and get one of the better ones to revive a character that almost killed the book originally before Rayner was brought in. And what's even funnier is that if the book fails again with Useless Hal, no one will say anything outside of those who said bringing him back was a dumb move to begin with. Well, they won't even let him get to 200 issues, so I doubt they give a damn about Rayner's legacy. -
As someone who knows Satanico a bit better than anyone else here, I would say it wouldn't matter.

We've never had location instead of member# before, so where did this claptrap come from?

The Return of Hal Jordon as Green Lantern
AlwaysPissedOff replied to Steviekick's topic in Literature
Sorry to chime in on this so late, but having recently heard about this myself, I just have to say "fuck Hal Jordan". I don't want to hear the "oh, you just grew up with Kyle as GL" excuse because Jordan(as well as Stewart and Gardner) was THE GL when I was growing up and I avoided the title like the plague because Jordan was so damned BORING. Hell, Hal going nuts and the introduction of Kyle sucked me into buying GL for the first time in like 5 years and I find Kyle to infinitely more interesting than Hal ever was. While I haven't picked up an issue in a long time(monatary reasons, unfortunately), needless to say, if I was still reading the book regularly, I'd drop it(although it doesn't mean much anyway since they're restarting the title and won't let it at least make 200 issues). DC caving into those no-life fanboys from H.E.A.T. makes me physically ill. I just hope that they'll at least give Kyle his own title instead of killing him off because he's a damn good character who shouldn't be wasted in a "back-up" role for a useless, old fart who needed to be offed anyway. -
Not until they learn how to play defense. Jacksonville and Houston could both put it on Indy at least once with how good their defenses are and how improved the offenses should be.

X is... to put it lightly, strange. It was very well-drawn and all, but it has absolutely no connection to the TV series that it was supposedly based on(Tokyo Babylon) and the whole "everybody dies except for the main character" ending pisses me off to no end. I'd recommend TB, but it's so mediocre that you'd probably get bored half-way through it.

Man, you Boston/NE fans and your inferiority complexes... sheesh.

Just to my 5 cents in: DBZ and Inuyasha are two of the most repetitive series I've ever seen. Hell, Inu is up to like 120 or more and they're STILL trying to kill Naraku. Also, avoid Tenchi In Tokyo like the plague. The first two series were eons better. Wolf's Rain comes off too Witch Hunter Robin-ish to me. Too damned slow and I'll probably lose interest unless something interesting happens within the next couple of weeks. Out of the Gundam series, I still don't see how there are Wing fans around. I despise that show with a passion and that other AU, 0080.

Man... someone find George's ankles because Tony didn't just break them, he snapped them bitches OFF.

I'd say parroting that guns are bad and they shouldn't be easy to get a hold of is more common sense than just misunderstood Moore logic... And personally, after reading that blog that was posted in CE, I'm wholely convinced that he doesn't like this country or the soldiers that fight and die for it. I'm sure that'll be considered "blind patriotism, " but I don't give a fuck. He's in this to make money and be a big name, not because he cares about what happens to anyone else but him.

Why doesn't Mikey just admit that he hates America already? I'm sure that would get him all the pub he so desperately craves...

I love Amazon Women in the Mood, but I can never see it on CN(unless they stopped showing it for some reason).

Awesome news for KG. I hope that's not the only trophy he's holding up before this year is over with.

John Cena Getting A Title Reign Before Christian?
AlwaysPissedOff replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
So you want a career midcarder who's hardly rubbed elbows with main eventers EVER to go into the second biggest show of the year as champion? Man... what are you on and where can I get some? Length of time in the company shouldn't mean dick as far as who gets title reigns unless "Billy Gunn, WWE Champion" is a phrase you'd love to hear above anything else. -
Oh, there's no doubt about that. I just hate that ESPN has to perform the most blatant fellatio ever anytime his name is brought up.

Overrated and always crippled? That's a pretty bad combo, sez I.

Houston's problem in a nutshell is that Steve Francis is a bumbling idiot. Dude turned the ball over almost every possession down the stretch in OT and that's inexcusible in the Playoffs.

Probably because he spoke a lot of truth about some of the posters here, and some people didn't want to hear it. God, I hate this bleeding heart mentality... He was banned because he was a PBP(which was stated in the post right above yours), so stow the "LOL!!!! STOOOPID SMARKS!!!" routine.

I love topics like this... Married... With Children- timeless Batman: The Animated Series- I used to get chills listening to the music climax at the end. Teen Titans(both versions)- Just awesome. YuYu Hakusho(Japanese version)- Addictive. Yu-Gi-Oh!(American and Battle City Finals/DOOM Saga openings)- "Warriors is a great theme and the American version is cathy if you listen to the whole thing. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(both versions) Family Matters- "Days gooo byyy..." Power Rangers- the first few seasons before Turbo and everything since Time Force except for the season after it that had that Tarzan reject as the Red Ranger. Transformers G1 Voltron- Man, that was fucking cool back in the day Cowboy Bebop Neon Genesis Evangelion 24 The second Drew Carey opening Justice League- I just love how the animation works with the song especially when they are walking towards the screen with the sun coming up behind them. Batman Beyond- That song was badass. Ultimate Muscle's American opening(I've been singing it all day... heh.) Shaman King's American opening(aside from that incredibly cheesy ending of it)

I remember that fight. Hornacek did something that pissed off Stackhouse so bad that Jerry turned around with only one foot on the ground(he was landing from a jump) and just cold-cocked Jeff in the mug. I laughed for a good 3 days afterwards, man. On the Bowe/Golota free-for-all, didn't Golota get clocked with a cellphone by one of Bowe's corner guys? I think it happened off to the side and the camera only caught Golota's reaction. Also, when they zoomed out and showed the entire arena at one point, I think you can see some poor schmuck getting clocked with a chair, heh...

With the 72nd pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Rod Davis, Linebacker, University of Southern Mississippi.

Pick up the aforementioned "Welcome Back, Frank" TPB, other than maybe two times, he made the Gnucci soldiers look like incompetant boobs(but then again... that isn't too hard to do). He does some pretty creative stuff that got a chuckle out of me, personally. As for the movie itself: I loved it. Jane was awesome and the writing for the Punisher character kicked ass. Kinda disappointed that they didn't let the Russian talk because his dialogue from comic was friggin' great. About the only thing that I would say bothered me was how much comedy was in the movie, but the final battle and Frank's machinations on Howard and his wife and best friend more than made up for that.

LA/Houston would have been so much better if either team could have at least thrown it into the ocean tonight... And the free throws? Ye Gods, that was terrible. Normally, I don't kvetch about games needing to be high scoring, but when both teams are bricking it up, it gets rather tedious. Also, all this whining to the refs is really pissing me off, just play the goddamn game, already.

Okay, as stated before, Backlash hasn't even happened yet, so starting a thread about a PPV where only one match is announced and nothing else but rumors is just wasting time. Start the JD talk when more is confirmed and not just a bunch of rampant speculation. Thread CLOSED.
