IMO Delirious is the funniest stand up ever put on film. It's the one reason why I consider Eddie a top 5 standup. Raw is ok, but it is nowhere near as consistently hilarious as Delirious.

Raw is on tonight UNCUT on Comedy Central at 1AM following a Chappelle Show marathon. It's basically one of the best nights of comedies you can ask for. 8 episodes of Chappelle, and than old school comedy with Eddie Murphy Raw. I just wish they would show Delirious instead...ah well I have it on video.

The One And Only Friends Series Finale Thread...
Shanghai Kid replied to a topic in Television & Film
What kind of crappy, unsatisfying ending would that of been? It would of gone down as the worst series finale in the history of the world. What I don't get is, how are they going to do the "Joey" show without any of the other characters being in it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Chandler/Monica are the only characters moving away. -
How did Boy Meets World end? The Fresh Prince finale was pretty damn good. I like when a series gives closure to every character instead of focusing on just one.

Overrated or not, he's the most exciting player in sports and he's the biggest draw the NFL has. Stats don't tell the whole story on Vick. NOBODY can do some of the stuff that he does. He's a physical freak, his legacy won't even rely on QB stats. The stats don't tell the gamebreaking plays. Vick does things that makes him stand out, he's quite simply the stuff that legends are made off. Not that he's a legend yet, but the door is open for Vick to become one of the all time greats. He was a MVP candidate in his first year as a starter and you can believe he'll win a MVP in the near future, and even win some superbowl rings. The NFL wanted/needed a Micheal Jordan, and Vick is just that. He makes his teammates so much better. Without him, they are one of the worst teams in the league. They won all his games when he came back and they're always a playoff contender with Vick there. Let's not forget that he was the first to go into Greenbay in the playoffs and whoop Farve in his own home.

I think that's pretty dumb to say that the Tom Hanks movie bombed because of Marlayn Wayans. Did the first Scary Movie bomb? How about Senseless? He's proven to be a great actor as shown in Reqiuem for a Dream, and has carried some movies on his back. The fact is, Tom Hanks is a box office draw for the reason that he's usually in great movies. Put him in a bad movie, and he's not going to make it a hit. I would say Mel Gibson is the biggest box office draw.

I think early in his career Denzel wasn't a big draw. He was still a good actor, and even underrated with great performances in Malcom X and Philadelphia, but his choice of roles wasn't too great. He flirted with trying to be an action hero in Virtousity and Pelican Brief, and I'm not sure if those roles were right for him. But, in the last 5-6 years, Denzel has chosen his roles perfectly. He deserved an Oscar for his performance in the Hurricane. Remember the Titans is a huge fan favorite. But people admitedly got a little tired of seeing Denzel as a good guy. And Training Day...well that pretty much made everybody catch on. His character was popular with all ages, and he won an Oscar for it. Now everything he does has a chance of being gold. John Q wasn't great, but opened up #1 because of Denzel. Out of Time wasn't great, but it did decent because of Denzel. Antoine Fisher, a great movie, directed by Denzel. And now Man of Fire....it looks edgy just like Training Day, so how can anybody not expect it to do great at the box office. Denzel is in his prime, he's easily a top 5 actor going today. He can make a bad movie decent, and a good movie great. So yes, he owns you all.

Saved By The Bell Questions That You Asked
Shanghai Kid replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
The College years was actually legitly funny for the most part. With the original, you enjoyed it, but you never really laughed out loud. Zack was probably 2x funnier in the college years because he didn't have any boundries, half of his dialogue in the College years has nothing to do with the story, and he's allowed to be much more intelligent sarcasm. Grown up Zack definetly worked for me because he was just like his kid self except he could say more risky things. Their was an episode where Slater was all getting back into his roots and joining the Chicano club or whatever. And Slater just goes off on Zack talking about how he's not going to go on the ski trip and instead is going to protest with the Chicanos and than he just storms off. Zack just takes it all in and says "I always thought he was Mexican" and than goes on about his buisness. It was truly a hilarious moment that you usually never see on Saved by the Bell. -
The Torrie Eps Of Saved By The Bell
Shanghai Kid replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
Valarie on 90210 was great for the first season, but here character just always did the wrong thing after that. Vanessa Marcell is just HOT. It's hard to fine anybody that is just flat out as beautiful as she is. Unfortaunetly I think she's getting old now, she doesn't look as good on Vegas. I'm surprised Hang Time has so many fans. I thought I was the only one who watched that, along with VR Troopers. -
The Torrie Eps Of Saved By The Bell
Shanghai Kid replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
I thought Hangtime just didn't have any interesting characters...Anthony Anderson was funny though. One World....really cool theme song...that's about it. Never really got into the story. California Dreams was pretty good, it actually had a satisfying final episode too. I don't know why the show never comes on anymore. City Guys- Broke the sterotype, and was pretty good. Final episode was very unsatisfying as we have no idea what happens to the characters. Felt more like a season finale. USA High, underrated show. Really lost it's wings once Laz left and they replaced him with Tony from California Dreams. Saved by the Bell New class pissed me off. Everytime you got to know a character, BOOM, written off with no explanation. Terrible, terrible casting on this show. Overall, the original Saved by the Bell was the best. -
HOLY S*** OKAFOR IS AS GOOD AS THE HYPE!! #1 PICK baby.

Iverson needs to play point guard. Iverson/Larry Hughes would be a good backcourt right bout now. Hughes has developed into a 19ppg/5 rebound player.
-
Iverson is not the most exciting player in the league. He was a few years ago, but now he's nowhere near that. He basically just goes to the hoop every time to get a foul call, but since he's lost a step and can't finish like he used too, it's just turning into missed shots and no calls. He still misses tons of jumpshots also. What's exciting about a guy going 2-21 from the field? He's nowhere near as exciting as Lebron, Vince Carter, Carmello, hell I think watching AK-47 is more exciting than watching AI.
-
Memphis is 2 games behind Minnesota and they still play Minny 2x this season. Memphis is definetly the team nobody wants to play come playoffs. They've not only broken into the supposed "big 5" in the West, but they're pushing for homecourt advantage.

Is Cena the most over guy in the federation or what? It seemed like that since his reaction on Raw was bigger than any of the Raw wrestlers. I think right now Eddie is the top guy, but am I the only one who noticed how over Cena is?

The webcast would be easy to order if everybody here just pitched in 1-2 bucks. We have a good 25 people here who want to see it, that's 1 dollar a piece, why not just get somebody to order than everybody send that dude 1 dollar?

The AIM chatroom thing sounds like a good idea. At the very least somebody watching it can update us on what's going on. It does beg the question though- How many people watching Wrestlemania on a TV set are actually going to sit at their computer while watching it?

The ONE and ONLY WM's 10 Greatest Matches Thread
Shanghai Kid replied to BifEverchad's topic in The WWE Folder
I love the Iron man match, and it was the WRESTLERS voting, so you can't fault them for it. -
Is it just me or is HHH the most OVER guy in this match? HOLY SHIT....ITS ALL COMING DOWN ON THE SMARKS. THE CROWD IS GOING TO CHEER FOR HHH!
-
Uh oh, this match is set up for failure. Niether Benoit or Shawn seem to be over enough to justify a win..and HHH...well he's just coming out of this looking great. If this is the main event at WM their will be no heat for it.

Hmm, I take it some of you guys don't know that Kwame is averaging 13 and 8 in the last two months? Now that he's getting consistent playing time he's improving rapidly. He has torched Jermaine O Neal, Elton Brand, Carlos Boozer, all in a few weeks span. Kwame has the size and speed to be the best big man in the East. It's too early to call him a bust because big man coming out of high school usually take a while to develop (Amare is the exception not the rule). You haters need to back off, Kwame will be an all-star within the next few years.

I've been holding out on getting They Live on DVD because I know I soon as I get it their going to reveal plans to release a special edition with the commentary and the other stuff that the Region 2 version has.

One of the best B-movies ever. Roddy Piper was a kickass hero in the movie, and that fight scene was hilarious. The ending didn't really do much for me though.
